  1. You have that right! BFC has had plenty of complaints about them and the set up zones...perhaps in CMx3 they will fix it.

  5. Badger, Great detective work! Read your email...the file attached was screwed up--but that is probably because my email has had problems. No matter, I have my original 92nd Div African faces mod with original/Version 1 names. Well, I thought that might be the answer--using Version 1 names--since when I tried your re-worked 92nd file the other day, Mord's "War Ravaged Faces" showed up in game instead (it is Ver. 1)! That's when I went through my mod folder and made sure there were no other face mods; but the weirdness continues, because my re-worked Asian faces (Ver. 2 naming convention) does work! Hmmm... I haven't fired up the game to try version 1...I'll do both mods in Ver 1 and Ver 2 one more time just to see why it's goofy. Anyway, glad you got it working. ....Chaz: You poor bastard!
  6. But what is weird is that my Asian faces mod does work for me. I can't see anything different/wrong with the re-naming you did on my African-American faces---I keep checking and re-checking, and just don't get it. Maybe it is a Cheesehead thing!

  8. Kohlenklau, a sunken road has to ramp up somewhere! That looks very nice...maybe move the cemetery wall back one AS. Oh, and you will be happy to know that I have next week off--finally--and plan to finish the Snow Mod.

  14. I rejected all the earlier CMx1 games simply on the basis of graphics. My only other dedicated comp gaming was IL2 Sturmovik, and even back in 2002, the graphics were head and shoulders above CMx1 at the time. I don't think modded versions back then would have made a difference to me, primarily because of Moe, Larry, and Curly. Modding just wouldn't help those guys! Plus, when I tried the demo and saw that the map was just sort of floating out in space, I just thought it was too wierd. Fast forward to Jan 2009, first day (first hour!) of a vacation week, and I ran across a YouTube from CMSF of a Bradley AFV ripping up some Syrian p-truppen & light armor, and I bought it within 10 minutes; the Marine bundle within the hour; the Brit module as soon as it was released. I learned that game by essentially playing CMSF for 7 solid days. Been hooked on CM since. It's all relative.

  17. I think he meant that this thread was to document incorrect uniforms showing up in games, but as a fellow Wisconsinite, it's close enough for me to answer your question. (I responded to your PM, but that was before I looked into the american_skin issue.) Well, I got it to work, Badger. Besides renaming the skins just like you did, I matched up the normal maps to each face and added them into my Nisei uniform mod folder, and plopped that folder into my Data/z folder. I wouldn't think just adding the normal maps would do anything special, since the mod doesn't override or otherwise affect the ones that that are in the base game folder. You want me to shoot my file to you by Dropbox?
