  1. correct, they would need the vehicle pack
  2. Im pretty sure that better damage models(such as thrown tracks) and graphical animations is on the "to-do "list for vehicles and tanks.
  3. The micromanagement is one of the elements that makes CM so unique, so many decisions need to be made, the total outcome of those hundreds of collective decisions equals victory or defeat, the thought process that goes behind "the micromanagement" is Combat Mission to me.
  4. a target order was given, maybe that explains it, maybe its that simple
  5. wasn't that bad considering they are pretty inaccurate weapons, the question is why?did he panic?or is it built into the ai?to make random poor choices?
  6. You will clearly see the German infantry fire their faust at the American squad. Is this something they would do in real battle? Why waste it on infantry?Yes I see the spotted American tank, but they don't spot that until a second after they fire the faust.
  7. Has anyone done any testing on wether or not your more likely to bog in muddy conditions relative to the speed your going?Fast, highest chance to bog?slow, lowest chance to bog?
  8. 100% agree, and I don't think they are "resting".Remember this engine was released in 2009 and Im guessing development started in 2007, so I don't think its unfair to say this software is 10 years old.Pretty ancient for the computer world. It seems the graphical technological advances in the software gaming market are moving at a much higher speed than CM can produce its games/modules.Its not a knock on BF, its just seems to be fact of the market. That being said, I make this analogy. The movie industry is full of huge box office flops loaded with the latest, greatest CGI special effects, the movie will bust without a great screen play.CM has great screen play, great directors and producers.
  9. We all want that and Im sure BF does as well. Your not causing the issues, your just responding in an immature and unproductive manner. This kind of shows you don't understand, their obvious lack of market awareness has kept them in business for twenty years.Lucky I guess. True, and its not the Titanic. True, but I think it is, I think the direction is very exciting.
  10. I've won several defenses where the clock wasn't the primary factor, they are difficult to pull off, but very rewarding!and fun.
  11. be careful what you wish for! "Peeking around Corners" was very dangerous in real combat.
  12. hi , can I send you a save game file that I think is a bug?

    1. sburke

      sburke

Absolutely. If you don't have a file sharing set up like dropbox, then just email to sburke1959@yahoo.com

  13. I don't know why. They all have the same gun.In general the tank would be considered more valuable do to its moving turret. The Pz4's have about 50% more ammo(which makes the Pz4 a real good bye) than the Stugs. The only thing I can think of is they must have better armor and are better "tank hunters"do to their low silhouette.
  14. Well I thinks its a mistake, in CMFB and CMBN in the infantry section the FO is called glider FO, shouldn't it just be forward observer.
  15. I thought Steve had alluded to a New year bone from Chris, possibly tomorrow or shortly there after.
  16. I can not produce "peaking" on large walls at all, it works every time on buildings
  17. Has anyone ever seen the following? The troops have been wounded and/or killed in the previous turn, but just can't quite except it.I don't know if this is specific to engine 4, but this is the first time I saw it in CMRT and I just upgraded.
  18. so does Vein's tracer mods work or have to be re-done?
  19. maybe my opinion is based on a lack of knowledge about what tracers really look like, maybe this is super accurate?I don't know now, but should every bullet be a tracer?
  20. ok here are the stock tracers unmodded game engine 4, I find them to be way to red and somewhat starwars like, help me Obiwan.
  21. too bad the game does not "deny" that area fire to the "other portions of your force (without any contact marker in the vicinity) magically and instantly start area firing at that same location" and only grant that area fire if there is c2 from spotting unit to area firing units, now you could play a "gentlemans rule" and never conduct area fire on unspotted enemys without c2 and some form of time delay, say 30-60 seconds.
