  1. thank guys, so I dl Paint.net, so Ian your saying I need a plugin to go along with that?
  2. https://ibb.co/jSXoKw This picture shows end game results, Germans completley occupied Carpione worth 200 points. But the computer awarded 0 points, is that because of the 2 undesytoyed British bunkers? The bunkers are not occupied by any troops.
  3. my question is what program/software do you guys reccommend to get the very cool looking strategic, operational and tactical maps into the briefing and tactical map area?
  4. quite elaborate, inspiration for fortifications improvements to the engine, such as certain buildings as reinforced strongpoints
  5. Thanks for the feedback, I will encourage Westland to read this, he say he doesn't come on here.
  6. Some things are exact and some things are abstractions, I don't believe that everyone who plays this game knows which ones are and which ones arn't I know I don't. Leads to some visual confusions.
  7. Correct and nope, but like I said before , the more great stuff BF gives us the more we want, and we always apply our own real world mechanical perceptions of how things should play out in our mind realistically,(and that might be next to impossible to program) BF's backbone and niche is realism, so were always striving for that perfect unattainable goal.
  8. at gun activity defenitley needs some upgrading, they seem to be much more cumbersome, clumsy in game then some of the videos I have actually seen in documentries.
  9. With his permission, Westland from the blitz forum said I may post his opinions/obsevations regarding the latest 4.0 engine. "The Panthers are a problem in CMx2. I agree.Especially for the US troops. With the Russians and British you have better chances. The problem is the unrealistic behavior of AT Guns.Because a chance to fight the Panthers are AT Guns.Only these can never be set up unnoticed. When unloading the guns, the gun is pushed around in circles or runs in the wrong direction. That almost always happens to me.Then too far.5 minutes for a 57 mm AT gun ready for fire! Take a look at footage from the 2nd World War, how fast a Pak cannon was put into position. That did not take a minute. In the old CM games was such a AT gun after 2 minutes. And unnoticed!! Then the problem with forests. In Cmx2 tank commanders see through the smallest gap in the rows of trees.Totally unrealistic.Try to spot a camouflaged tank in a dense forest 2 kilometers away. In city battles the infantry is totally unrealistic. I noticed that hidden units are recognized immediately. How should that work? Example.A flame thrower unit lies hidden in the ground floor.Opposite an enemy infantry unit is running into a house. One minute later they inexplicably see my flamethrower squad and open the fire? At first I thought that was the coincidence. But I've repeated that 20 times and gotet with all nations and different infantry units. In 90%, the attacker immediately after 1-2 minutes always recognizes the hidden enemy in houses!!! Imagine something in reality. You are lying hidden under the window.Noiseless.Motionless.The opponent lies 50 meters opposite in a house. After a minute he saw her anyway.How?X-ray vision? I do not understand that in this game. That's why I reject city battles. In the old CM games that was more realistic. There, a hidden unit was only discovered when you were very close or when it fired. " Please comment.
  10. There was no bone last year , because I believe Engine 4 was release on Dec 24th, and the year prior was no bone at all, more like a bone splinter, and the "substantial October bone" that sttp alludes to was more of an update of stuff we already knew, so I will be disappointed if there is not a substantial xmas bone,.
  11. Ive noticed that when you keep adjusting an artillery barrage(to get that perfect landing point) it eventually will calls itself off with no warning and you have to start the mission over from the beginning. Why does it do this?and is there a max# you can adjust before it does this?
  12. No not game breaking at all, infact I dindn't even notice it at all until you brought it up.But this is kind of the "catch 22 situation" that BF has put itself in.They give us great detail in many areas and we as customers with discriminating eyes love it and consume it.But the more they give us great detail, the more we want, and it will never be enough because the computer programing world is a finite place. But yes I agree, would be nice if those silhouettes were British.
  13. well I guess Squad Leader had it wrong then. Its not the idea position but yes it can be done, the other option "dragging them to safety is not moddeled", again self preservation instincts would kick in , no one is going to kneel and help "a wounded buddy"in close proximity and view of the enemy, once the enemy has been surppressed its a different story, Im sure there were/are real life heroic situations, Im not referring to those. One more tweak to a feature, I love the prisoner feature, but more prisoners should be taken in certain situations instead of "fighting to the death"
  14. does that stop the guy perfroming buddy aid from being spotted?like from behind a wall position or in tall weeds
  15. Double clicking the squad and only that squad "lights up", not the whole platoon, very useful when the squad is broken into 3 teams, currently the whole platoon highlights. Clicking on the Platoon commander and a status box comes up with information about that chosen Platoon. Kia, wounded, morale, strength, special weapons, etc and if you click on the Co co , same info for that company, battalion etc Ability to quick view a unit 90 degrees, currently only 180, which is very useful. Mg, and weapon jams. Ability to choose or stop buddy aid, or at least do it from the prone position , they are kneeling in buddy aid and " stupidly dying", GET PRONE! And please reverse the effects of artillery or prolonged HE fire barrages on Inf back to Game engine 3, In game engine 4 all the attacker has to do is barrage a town or defensive position and the defenders scatter to the wind and run out and die, this behavior is quite frustrating and makes it much harder on the defender to "hold ground".Attacking should be EXTREMELY difficult, now its much easier for attackers.
  16. I cant remember, if your Pltn Co is killed, Does the Co Co have any influence(like it id in CM1) on the leaderless Pltn if it gets within a close proximity?
