  4. Hello! Your keys have been reset. Please note that we can only reset your key a limited number of times. Once the limit is reached, you may not be able to relicense your key anymore. On the other hand, there is no limit as to how often you can UNLICENSE a key from your end. Unlicensing takes one second (literally! It's just one click) and "frees up" your key from your current PC, so you can use it elsewhere. You can unlicense and relicense an unlimited number of times. Please do not forget to unlicense in the future in order to preserve your license key. My desktop MOBO broke which EVGA could not fix and my laptop power supply burnt up. I did not have a chance to unlicense either. I sent in a ticket to reset CMSF and all the modules along with CMA. Battlefront obliged (which I appreciate) and sent the above email. My question is how does one know when they are close to the limited resets as stated? I had my OS and CM on my SSD. Since the MOBO went down and I got a new one I had to reinstall the OS which wiped the drive. My only other option would be to go and buy a new SSD to install the OS just so I can get to CM on my original drive. How else would one handle this situation besides always having CM installed on a drive opposite the OS just to be safe? I would hate to have to purchase the base game and all modules again!

  7. I am not seeing the increase accuracy with bunkers. Maybe I have not used them in scenarios enough but I do know that the last 3 games that I played have not demonstrated any increase in accuracy. I even used some TRP's in areas where my opponent advanced troops and noticed nothing different. Not sure about that one (even though BF states they tweaked it). Anyone else seeing an increase? Also curious as to what would of been affected if increasing the rate MG's on HT's or in bunkers was also tweaked. Would this have caused all MG's on vehicles to be increased? If so, what is the problem with that?
  8. Plain and simple---This is a game!! Do not try to sit back and question what is realistic and what is not. Number one rule....Do not get hit. Bottom line. It does not matter what is shooting at you. I have just played a turn where I pummeled a Panther with three Sherm 75 AP shells on the side armor from less than 100m and the Panther just backed out of site. Take it as luck. Once you start questioning about is this or that realistic the GAME will become very frustrating to you. Legit concerns like the last MG tweak are good to bring up but things like this are just better left to bad luck.
  9. You think triggers would help? Are there units in the vicinity of square A? Yes--Do not spawn there. NO--Go ahead and spawn there. If Yes---Are there units in vicinity of square B? Yes--Do not spawn there. NO---go ahead and spawn there. They are built into the TOW series and work pretty well for that game. I do not see why they would not work for CM. In fact my opinion is that it would elevate scenario design to the next level for some of you guys.

  13. Related to Vinnart's mention of CMSF. I thought it was possible to copy the 2.0exe before upgrading thus allowing you to run 2.0PBEM games. I tried this by copying my 2.0exe and renaming and then upgrading to 2.01. I then received a file from an PBEM opponent in 2.0 and opened it with my 2.0exe copy. Everything worked and the splash screen said 2.0. But when I clicked on a unit it was giving me CMSF names?? I then opened the same file in 2.01 and the names were correct. Is it not possible to run older PBEM version games this way?

  15. Nope. I believe they made it this way so you do not make it a point to protect your core units and send the "scenario-only" units into the enemy lines as canon fodder.
  16. I know the FOW icon is but a single pic but differs in its transparency as the FOW is lost. Is it possible to make the top level at a level of transparency that is just barely visible that way as it fades to the next level you cannot see it? Sometimes all those icons get on my last nerve.
  17. Fuser, First off I would like to say Thanks for everything that you have done to make this game more visually appealing to my eyes. Excellent work. Second would you happen to have a Dropbox folder that you would share with a collection of all your mods? Yes. I am too lazy to download all of them individually. If you had a public folder in DB you could just upload as you pump them out.

  19. GAJ, Can you help a brother out here? I have recently hooked up with a fellow player and accepted his dropbox invite, dl the first file, played it and tried to send back with H2HH. I get the attached error when hitting refresh. Apparently something with gmail? Not too familiar with this. What do I need to do?
  20. Sounds like he clearly understood why his tanks could not move? He knew there was a non-passable terrain ahead but could not tell which one it was. He was clearly stating that he would like a mod that better shows the difference between the two. I gave him an idea with modding the mini files that go with impassable terrain (marsh, dense forest, heavy rocks). Not a shot at anybody in particular but too bad as almost every other thread someone states a question and then the damn thing goes 30 different directions off topic.
  21. I am playing a map in CMBN that has light and heavy forest tiles intermixed. Not being up to par on the scenario editor I am having a hell of a time seeing what is passable and what is impassable. Plotting move points and running the cursor over the map is the only way for me to see what I can pass over. I did open the .brz files and mod the mini-terrain tile for forest but unfortunately CMBN uses the same tile for heavy and light forest. One is passable and one is not. But they both look the same when modded as I do with the CMFI tiles below. I did the same for the mini-ground dense forest floor, mini ground heavy rocks, and mini marsh tiles in CMFI. I colored them completely red just for test purposes. Good thing is that this game keeps the light and heavy forest floor tiles separate. See screen shots below. The middle band shows light forest tiles inside of heavy forest tiles. Just modding the mini file only causes the mod to be viewable at birds eye view. When you zoom back down to see the action you see the close up tiles. Might be good for us that have a hard time when the light and heavy forest tiles are intermixed all together.
  22. I see in the settings that this is set to the zero key and the middle mouse button as an Alt. Well, my zero key works fine but i cannot get the middle mouse key to work. I know it is functional as I tested it outside of the game. I tried to remap in the settings but when I click on the middle mouse button it will not map. The scroll wheel works fine for zooming. Any suggestions as it does not work for TOW: Africa either. I want to get back into this so any help is appreciated. Thanks.
