  1. Started my first PBEM game and I cannot find the ema files in the Outgoing or Incoming game folders in the CMSF directory. I have gone so far to search by the individual file name and nothing. Any ideas?
  2. I am telling you this has gone from helmuts, belts, packs to license plates. I just want authentic buttons.
  3. The problem with mines is they cannot be disposed of. They have to be located and marked, which takes time and additional assets. In my experience and I have played a lot of PBEM games, players tend to avoid mines by agreement as a general rule.
  4. The idea is no one wants to attack a large map with mines and roadblocks and have a mere 30-45 minutes.
  5. In general Rocket Artillery but these are house rules and always subject to change. I would see no problem with German rockets but the US rockets are just cheesy,
  6. Here are some ground rules ironed between me and numerous opponents: Tanks, assault guns, armored cars and tank Destroyers must be purchased in at least pairs of the same type (example: one Panther A and one Panther D or one M4A3 and one M4). Firefly’s count as an M4 for this purpose and may also be paired with a Cromwell IV and VII. Defenders cannot pre-bombard but may purchase target reference points Attackers may pre-bombard Rocket artillery is forbidden Mines and roadblocks must be declared as in use by the defender Players should call for a ceasefire when it is clear that victory objective cannot be taken or defended and that a reasonable commander would withdrawal. Taking excessive casualties or attacking when the majority your forces are broken, panicked or shaken is unrealistic.
  7. Agreed. I had terrible luck with the pack in CMBN, so much so that I abandoned them in favor of Marder's. I have recently revisited the Pak and by using covered arc disipline and judicious use of the "hide" command I am having much better luck. I think the hide is the key. Units hiding in hedgerows seem to be mighty tough to root out with arty and artillery fire.
  8. AND ANOTHER THING! Why the heck does an AT gun with an area fire order fire its HE (makes sense) and once he HE is expended proceed to fire its AP? C'mon man!
  9. That's a can of worms, a coding issue. AT guns would have to be coded as a vehicle in the bail out/ re-crew arena.
  10. I thought this was impossible but I ran a quick test and the guns are abandoned immediatly. Move the crew back and the guns remain abandoned.
  11. Ah, I don't think this is possible. Ounce you bail out of an AT gun, I don't think you can re-crew it.
  12. Roger that Phil and I appreciate the response. The board is such a random smattering of complaints and bug reports. I can never really determine what is being reported, has been reported or what is in the works. I hope you have better system than me for trcking these things.
  13. You know this whole list of bugs keeps growing and all I hear is a bunch of crickets chirping from BFC. There is a major reverse set up bug that had effed up every PBEM QB I have tried with one guy for a week. This has been reported and acknowledged and all I hear is crickets. This on top of dead british tank commanders, half assed alpha models (KT, Lynx) and again crickets. I could give rats ass about iTouch or whatever next big thing is in the works, this stuff needs some attention. We are loyal fans with legimate complaints. If I find out there is an Xbox version in the works so help me.
  14. When you create your weather layer make the mode: overlay This will not cover or distort the zimmerit.
  15. For the cost, 3 Panthers are better than 2 Tiger I's. Look, I know we read the books and watched the movies and we all love the nostalgia but in reality if the German's had made Panther's instead of slab sided, slow Tiger's...............Ok, they still would have lost the war. But I digress. Seriously, Tunisia was fun and all, and that summer on the steps in 43' was groovy and that time Michael had a go at the Brit's at Viller's was peachy and all but in retrospect, I would have rather had a Panther.
  16. You had me at Rgt Artillery Group...............
  17. Looks like that coax got a little muddy. I recommend the gun metal. Out of curiosity are you a PSP or Photoshop man? Do you work in layers, overlays, multplied etc?
  18. Look, it's really all just a hand job, leading up to a hypothetical 1985 NATO vs PACT BFC tactical game. Once the public gets in hands on this game, all others will be obsolete. When Ivan and Johnny get their hands on an American Armored Calvary Sqd. vs a Soviet MRR Battalion, all other games will be deposited in the dust bin. Think of it 4x M1A0, 2x Bradley CFV and 2x M901 against 10x T-80B, 10x BMP-2 what more could you want?
  19. I smoked a Panther in the mantlet at 250m with a Firefly. The opposing player withdrew the Panther in a attempt to play possume. A great move but I had to keep on him til the cat was dead.
  20. OK, I am in Casper. Wheew at least you aren't in Rawlins. Everytime I drive into Rawlins, I always think of that line. I think it was from Nicholson, in a Batman movie, " this town needs an enema".
  21. The last Tiger I killed was with a 6 pounder, frontal aspect hull, <500 meters. Does it happen every day, certainly not. But really, the Tiger I looks nice and scares the heck out of most green troops but I always get a little excited when my opponent blows his wad on one, just for the look on his face when the Tiger I gets knocked out. Now I get nervous when an opponent presents an intact platoon of 4 or 5 Panthers, leaping an bounding, over watching and cruising over plain. Any tard can post a Tiger I in an orchard. Vanir Ausf B, you in Rawlins, Rock Springs, Point of Rocks.................Lone Tree?
  22. I am happy with the "mix" command. If you haven't figured out how to stop the M7 or jeep assault by now you have bigger problems. What I hate is the limitation on points, tiny, small, medium etc. Suppose I want a slightly larger than small assault which is 1900 points and change but less than a medium assault which is less 3000 points and change? Remember the old scale in CMx1? At least you can still "buy" gear. Have you tried a CMSF QB? It's total BS.
  23. I think Tigers are a HUGE waste of capitol. Big, slow, rare and pricey and they attract too much attention. Much as we learned during the war, the Panther is the best all around tank, period. Is the Panther perfect, no but it beats the snot out of the Tiger. The best thing about the Tiger are the guys who pay out the nose to get one on beasts.
  24. Wouldn't count on them for more than a halftrack or Marder. Trouble is controlling them. You set your lone BS arc, as there is no more armored covered arc's and hope for the best as they plop AT rifle grenades at Panthers at 100m.
