  1. Syria? I did all this to wipe that horrible little country off my HD. I am not going back to Syria.....ever!
  2. Well thanks John. All told about 3 months labor. The gear is what comes with CMSF and a time that could be represented for a PACT-NATO conflict, that would range from the mid 1990's to about 2008. With NATO and PACT paint jobs of course. Believe me if I could do M1A0's, M2/3A1's, T-64's and IPM1's I would have. One can hope for that 1978-1989 time frame someday.
  3. The British are coming!!! Didn't you always think the Warrior lacked detail and depth? So did I. Well, she has been reborn. I don't know if I will ever get around to doing the black and green camo but the Brit's are not too far off.
  4. It's all there files 1 through 8, that is all that is needed to wipe the Syrians off your HD and replace them with Russians. Don't know where my pictures and thumbnails went?
  5. Euroscape version 1.0 was unceremoniously chopped into 8 files and uploaded to the CMSF Base Game section of the repository. My one brz file dream was killed by the fact that files > 75 MB are too big to upload. The only solution was to package 8 files. I know it’s a lot but you won’t be disappointed as you basically get a new game.
  6. Euroscape is closer than you think. It will be here before Christmas. Mord has created Russian civilian combatants, spies and fighters. All the buildings have been modded to a more western look. Sorry but roofs just won’t make it in. What does Euroscape do? • Converts all Syrian forces to Russian units • Creates all Russian names and sounds • Creates a European looking terrain • US Marine and ARMY units are modded for temperate climates Euroscape does not mod British or NATO forces, which may come later. This mod is for version 1.32.
  7. Problem solved and thanks, it was the 1.21 that I didn't install.
  8. OK, I can do another unlicense reinstall, no a biggie, just tell me that you have a version 1.32 without the editor button error I mentioned?
  9. Another test confirms that placing the "Road Sign" in flavor objects #1, yields AC units on the map.
  10. Actually NATO requires the ver 1.31 patch after installation and before 1.32 is installed. Something tells me it is the strings.txt file. In toying with this txt file I have noted that changing some yext will alter the editor buttons.
  11. I know you will need all the modules CMSF through NATO. I am not sure about CMA.
  12. The CMA version is better. This one has been a bit of a headache as it loads, two different models at differing lod's. If you get my drift?
  13. This is massive undertaking that has been underway for some time. I intend to release one simple file that will convert your CMSF into a NATO-PACT game played in a European climate. Everything has been modded, the GUI, sound, names, voices, uniforms, sky, terrain, and vehicles, all of it. Vehicles have been color matched, camouflaged detailed and decaled in some cases. Some vehicles have been entirely replaced in a process we call “porting”. The BTR-70, BMP-2D and Ural 375 have replaced the BTR-60PB, BMP-2 and ZiL 131. The terrain has been completely modded to match a more temperate climate. Buildings, walls and roads appear more western. Mods have been used from other artists like Gordon E. Molek, Marco Bergmann, Stagler, Mord and Paul Gulianelli. All the mods have been packaged and matched into one brz file. We are finishing up playtesting and I would encourage scenario designers in the community to start creating NATO-Pact scenarios.
  14. Everything in the editor was complete and correct up to the installation of module 3, The Brits. Ounce I installed the 4th module NATO), buttons started dissappearing in the editor as shown above.
  15. I am using v 1.32 on a Windows 7 PC. I did a recent re-install of all the modules and found that after installing the last module NATO, the following error occurs. Street lights and sign editor buttons are gone and cannot be used and thus placed in the editor. I discovered this during work on my Euroscape mod and when attempting to place German road signs I had created.
  16. An update after a lengthy trip for some hunting: The terrain has been reworked in particular the ground textures Stagler has given me some great Russian infantry to use Russian names, voices and GUI interface is done, thanks to Stagler I have “ported” into the game the BMP-2D (from CMA), to replace the BMP-2 I have “ported” into the game the BTR-70 (from CMA), to replace the BTR-60PB I have “ported” into the game the Ural 375 (from CMA), to replace the Zil-131 I have “ported” into the game the ZSU-23-4 (from CMA I edited the strings file so that the above ported vehicles all say what they are in the interface Mord is working on the buildings and my portion of this project is whinding down. Make no mistake this is a monster project! Think of it, an all inclusive mod that transforms CMSF into a modern European style game. Pete
  17. I have "stolen" some skins for the mod but hardly a unit does not have my personal touch. I have skinned uniforms and vehicles but I have lost track of some of the author’s work that I have used. Quite frankly it would take me longer to give credit the original author than I would care to spend. Personally I could care less about credit for anything I do. I figure once you release something for free, who cares what happens to it. I have used some Marco Bergmann and Mord stuff, even some Syrope etc. Point is the darned game is 5 years old and I think I ought to be able to release an all-encompassing Euro conversion without having to worry about incorporating a lengthy txt giving credit to the original authors. Maybe I am just whining here as the Bergmann stuff is so good, he should be mentioned and the guy who came up with “No cage” Stryker’s.
  18. Excactly! I just started doing my first Russian infantry today.
  19. Great question. I am hoping that someone might step in and take the lead on the Russian troops. I would prefer this be a collaborative project between the more talented, experienced and driven modders in the community. It seems our best chance of completing an excellent finished mod. As it stands there is already a ton of material that has been incorporated. I have compiled all the material I believe is available, except for the Russian voice mod, which I will get too soon. I have it all in my Z folder and I have to say, it is looking very temperate. Division of labor looks like: Vehicles (Me): The US ARMY and Marines are complete. The Russian units are complete except for the T-90, BTR and ZSU (which is horrid and will take some serious work). Terrain (Mord): I use a bastardized Syrope terrain I but Mord is working on importing CMBN terrain. This is an interesting development and Mord is, well Mord! Sound: ___________________ Infantry: US (me) Russian___________________ Project Lead: Me I still have yet to compile a single Brz file but that should be easy. I will likely do a play test and some beta releases. I need to also figure out all the mods, I have stolen and give the proper credit to their artists. Safe to say it will be released before CMSF2. Pete
