  1. Lesson: House-to-house is deadly! Don't rush and do things slowly. Finished the game with only 8 minutes left in the clock. But not because I stepped on the final objective but because the enemy surrendered. [ August 07, 2007, 10:32 PM: Message edited by: jomni ]
  2. oh well I think people should just start using this... Just reprogram the keys and the two-three step process won't be as annoying anymore.
  3. I see. So the setup is flexible. That's still fine with me for replay's sake.

  5. I dunno what's wrong but it should work by doing the steps you described.
  6. Nice tip. But a lot of micromanaging again. I noticed that once the chassis of the vehicle hits a wall... it starts going crazy.
  7. Any squad can pick up a javelin from the vehicle. Select the squad mounted in the vehicle by pressing the unit icon on top and flip though the commands. There is an Acquire command to pick up the Javelin. Remember to pick both the launcher and the missiles.
  8. Nice one. 2 KIA and 18 injured as US. ----SPOILER---- I like the fact that the enemy can ambush you across the alleys if you're not careful. I noticed that the reds are not in the buildings? Is that intentional or not? --------------- [ August 07, 2007, 05:51 PM: Message edited by: jomni ]

  10. Maybe but don't bet on it. Battlefront's priority is to improve performance and hardware incompatibility.
  11. The logic behind the multiple use of a single key is to eliminate memorization. It always uses the 9 key grid which corresponds to the buttons on screen. I am completely fine with this method... And I like to make flipping between command types easier by doing the same thing (four-button horizontal grid either by numbers of F keys). Once you start memorizing... it will ruin your game.
  12. So far, I find the mission lengths adequate despite playing in real time. For your auto-pause suggestion , I might find it annoying. You can actually pause the game and give commands to everyone yourself (except in Elite). I would like to do the pausing myself. Hope they give the option to pause on elite.
  13. The game works fine with my old ATI Radeon 9250 (old drivers as well).
  14. I already gave the same suggestion. But I suggested the four F keys (F5 to F8) since they are nicely grouped into four and on top of the general area. The number keys that you suggested would be nearer though.
  15. oh so you can chain the hide. let me try that out.
  16. Yes I'd like to get hold of user scenarios easily as well.
  17. Did you give AI plans for both sides? Are they variable?
  18. Hi, I noticed that the computer AI likes to perform the "Crawl of Death". This maneuver involves crawling while under fire and in open terrain. While it may prove effective in very open terrain like desert where there's no where to hide (it's the only option), it's quite dumb to continue doing this where there's a building near by. They could have done a "quick" or a "fast" move to the next cover. I know this is difficult to program as other games like Close Combat also experiences this phenomenon. Anyway, here's a QB AAR for you guys to read.
  19. Lol! I'd like to make Battlefield 2 map replicas as well.
  20. Your troops automatically run for cover (nearby building) after dismounting. Sadly you cannot chain the Hide order to a waypoint and they need to be stationary to do so at the current build.
