  1. Don't think so. There are now more sophisticated countermeasures and protection although not too prevalent.
  2. Thanks. I have been watching Kieme but haven't downloaded anything yet.
  3. I love these enhanced textures. What are you using?
  4. Aside from additional OOB. Will Black Sea actually get other theaters? Georgia? Turkey?
  5. Let's change the discussion about "T-90s are nerfed" to "how to defeat the Abrams in the game with the tools given to us". I'm thinking of 2 or 3 T90s. If a group can distracted the M1 and become sacrificial lambs and one come from an angle where the turret cannot traverse to in time. Just pray it delivers a killing shot.
  6. The skirt of the T-90 in the loading screen is rubber.
  7. I think even Graviteam titles model this in great detail. And it has the post mortem analysis. But of course it is just WW2 to Cold War. No modern tech that we see in CMBS.
  8. Hi. How do I find Kieme latest mod listing and download links? I believe it is buried somewhere in thus thread.
  9. Checked out the spotting distance again. It was actually 15m in dense fog + night. My US opponent says he can see up to 50m with thermals. So do you think the distances are alright?
  10. I'll probably do different set ups and report back on the view distance of those Russian optics (infantry).
  11. Yes I know but is it really too hard to see anything 10 feet away without equipment? I suggest we fire up a QB at night and fog and see if the Russian spotting is logical based on their equipment. Unless the fog in the game is so bad.
  12. I know I asked this before and accepted the arguments about inferior equipment but the Russian infantry with their NV scopes cannot spot a single thing in a foggy night. Is that a accurate? The US troops and vehicles are actually at arms length and I still cannot see them. Can't even do blind fire on sound contacts.
  13. Though we are seeing painted markings on separatist side in the current conflict.
  14. Having some fun. I scrapped the paints by the way because they were cheesy. I'm waiting for the complete set of Kieme's textures.
  15. Yep. I did my own buy they were cheesy and I deleted them. You can check them out in this album. https://plus.google.com/photos/103636380046963336114/albums/6117175042728827025
  16. Can we have patriotic slogans too? Like Za Rodinu? I've seen pics with slogans or women's names but they are from the separatists.
  17. Yes it's that big "spot light". Anyway were digressing a bit. But an interesting conversation.
  18. The M60A1. The one that the Iranians are using during Iran Iraq War. In Steel Armor Blaze of War, it has ridimentary night vision (don't think it is thermal) and a balistics computer. But gun is not stabilized. Range finder is optical, you have to converge the view from two view finders to get the distance.
  19. I play Steel Armor and Steel Beasts. Some things to note. M-60 vs T-64. Fire control was still bit manual back then. M-60 has a visual range finder operated by the commander and range is inputted in the "computer" then gun auto elevates based on the round. T-64 has the usual scales in the sights like in WW2. But the gun is stabilized as opposed to the M-60. M1 vs Leo vs Challenger (chieftain not modeled so I cannot comment on it). The Leo 2 initially had the better independent commander optics. The M1 SEP became much improved and is now better than the Leo. Challenger Fire control is the weirdest especially for HE rounds. Definitely the least accurate method. My tank of choice in SB Pro is the Leo 2.
  20. Do you have any opinion on QB balance and purchase point. I have now had two experiences where the US seemed overpowered (maybe like in real life). 1) The Javelins in APCs. Are these actually included the cost of purchasing Bradleys and Strykers? 2) Night Vision / Themal sights. My Russian grunts don't have thermals and I'm now getting murdered in a foggy night (NV scope not enough). Are these included in US infantry costs? But the tricky part is that these advantages only appear on a case per case basis so a blanket change in cost is not the answer. Maybe make each and every attachment and equipment purchasable.
  21. The difficulty for me is more about the persistent casualties. Winning a battle at all costs may not be the best because you will have less troops for the next battle. It is not about orders and arty delay. So it depends on how persistent the casualties are. I remember doing the CMSF Marines campaign and i got to a point where everyone is walking as all vehicles are knocked out.
  22. I played almost 10 turns in one sitting last night PBEM using CMH.
