Could be some electrical UAV prototype, here's one with 8 props eg.
However I agree that descriptions are quite sketchy thus it's hard to offer anything but wild guesses.Edit : guys, you ain't alone : http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread1166788/pg1

Thanks for the details Strigoi.
I'm wondering if the video could be launched at another moment than at game launch, and I guess that since it's at game start tags wouldn't work.
Still, great potential you uncovered there dear mate.

That would be @birdstrike's
Last known address : http://cmsfmods.heroku.com/mods/4452/details

I did try to go through and visit it but then I've an error, thus I'm not able to see it anyway. (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, IceDragon, Midori...)
One could still visit the website by using the Wayback machine but it doesn't have the files though.

Good thinking there.
What video sizes and lengths have you been able to test out so far?
-
- CMSF2 added, with 13 252 items.

Thanks for peeking in Zveroboy.
I was looking for more CMSF content so from CMMODSIII, I clicked on button and arrived on http://cmx1mods.greenasjade.net/, on which there is a CMSF option in the menu on the left (Others > CMSF).
That is the link I can't get to work.
-
There's a undetermined limit on upload size now at CMMODSIII, files bigger than 90 Mb-ish don't go through as it appears from recent test. As far as I know, the solution would be to upload through FTP but only @GreenAsJade can, again as far as I know.
Thank you for sharing Strigoi by the way.

Hey there,
GreenAsJade relocated CMSF on a separate website: http://cmsfmods.heroku.com
Unfortunately, none of my browser would let me visit it, throwing 404 error or certificate related error.
Would anyone know how to get in there?

Now I need CMSF2!
(Tyrant is a great show by the way)

Good to know, thank you both.

Another brief but interesting article on the French intervention in Mali:

A valid link to the FT-05 quoted in the article : https://www.cdec.terre.defense.gouv.fr/content/download/4254/59862/file/FT_05.pdf

Now on The Scenario Depot, thanks to Ian : http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/tsd3/combat-mission-battle-for-normandy/the-road-to-montebourg-revised-2012-05-27-by-paper-tiger/
(Sorry for the external link, TSD doesn't accept files bigger than 20Mb. In 2019.) -
That sounds sexy!
I'm using a couple alternative animation mods too (CMBN Alternative Cower Animation and Buddy Aid Animation) and I would love to have the tracers limited to MG fired bullets, at most (nowadays we do have tracers in assault rifles' mags though, unsure about then and in anyway I doesn't float my boat).
Without floating I may loose on the overall SA but that may actually be an opportunity to take a closer look and appreciate the details even more.
Well, I would happily give a test, or 10, to your package if you feel like sharing it as is.

Awesome Ian, you are a savior of past treasures.

Maybe next time, one could use some website like FlightRadar to look up it's ID?
-
That's intriguing Harry, thanks for sharing.
Could you please elaborate on what is the impact on your own gameplay? For example, does it mean that you do not manually target OPFOR?
-
It doesn't seems to be available on TSD3 or here nor Google can't find it.
Would anybody have it somewhere?

Assault on Port Cros is now available en français dans le texte : Assault on Port Cros » CombatMission.fr
What may be of some interest for non French speakers is that this version is tagged and a companion pack is available at the bottom of the page. It does contain a few atmospheric mods, ie. the ocean horizon from @LongLeftFlank's CMBN Pacific Terrain, day background sound from @kendar's Quiet Background mod and FSSF portrait from @Mord's & @Darknight (DC)'s Gustav Portraits mod.
S! @Combatintman for your efforts creating such fun and challenging scenarios, and for sharing your knowledge.@MOS:96B2P sensei, great DAR. Your posts on the TRPCO/danger close areas and on the platoon's axis of advance are very stimulating

Thanks a lot Meyer

décidément... je n'avais pas les yeux en face des trous!
Thank you @Frenchy56

Had a very enjoyable time @Lt. Smash , thank you.
Spoiler below (highlight to see)
The AC it spinned on itself for a good four minutes on the River bridge then it got stuck, I had to put en end to its misery. May I suggest some presence in the houses and or some foot patrol? I had a quite easy time flanking them.

Great pics and a great job putting this together. I had no problem downloading it. But is there a way I can mod the initial screens text back to black from the blue?
As far as we know, it's a no go Ted.
