Differing CMCW prices
Sgt.Squarehead replied to BarnesWhittle's topic in Combat Mission - General Discussion
Appreciate the reply.....You know I'll buy it regardless! The more stuff we have in the various CM TOEs, the more we can mess with it to make things we didn't expect (I've just written my first set of AI Plans for boats). -
On a modern tank? No. Not even straight through the gun-sight. Very dodgy IMHO.

SU-100Y: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SU-100Y That thing really does have a gun from a warship! I was a fan of the KV-85 too (both in CM and in my 1/72 scale model collection).....Allegedly at least one of them was retrofitted with the turret from a IS-2. Since we're already on a slight tangent, this is an immensely cool one off: And in a vague effort to get this train back on track I shall suggest that if you are doing a hypothetical Malta scenario, you will need these: One of the greatest riffs of all time IMHO!

List of all the latest versions?

Now that idea makes some sense. -
The FPV's a cool drone (it'll do 90+mph in free-flight mode), I nearly bought one a few months back: https://www.dji.com/uk/dji-fpv In the end I decided to wait to see if they will implement their original plan for full modularity.....At the moment if you crash it (which you definitely will) and break a rotor arm (which you probably will), it has to go back to DJI to be fixed. However DJI were talking about making the arms 'plug & play' components on a future version of the FPV.....If they do, I'm definitely having it. It's £2000-3000 for a decent DJI FPV setup, so properly busting it would really suck, unless you did something truly spectacular like flying it into an active lava plume and then sold the footage to everyone. PS - Also this: https://www.theverge.com/2021/6/1/22463946/dji-drone-ban-pentagon-department-of-interior & this: https://www.theregister.com/2021/07/26/pentagon_grounds_own_report_that/ Hence my comment about the PLA in my first reply. I suppose when your work-car is a MQ-9 Reaper, being able to play with a FPV at the weekend isn't quite so important.

Afghanistan - The Current Situation

Ayman al Zawahiri may just have done a really dumb thing: https://www.longwarjournal.org/archives/2021/09/ayman-al-zawahiri-promotes-jerusalem-will-not-be-judaized-campaign-in-new-video.php Over and above the usual bombast & jingoism, he appears, rather foolishly, to have threatened to export Jihad to China.....I'm sure that the Taliban will be delighted at his enthusiasm for bombing their new chums! -

And then the dumb ***** leave it on your C Drive by default so it eats your SSD! -
Armored Vehicles: Buttoned or Unbuttoned?

The question was about spotting in CM, not Soviet doctrine. -

More importantly.....When? Not too worried what it is, but I definitely want it. Yours in the only game in the series where I still spend more time playing than editing.....But that won't last, I've already got three CM:CW projects on the go. PS - I am hoping there are some old CM:A fans amongst the CM:CW posse, I must admit. -

I don't know if it does or not.....I was hoping someone might enlighten me. -

I haven't bothered yet, but I probably will at some point. Does a Steam install share the folder in Documents with a Battlefront install of the same game, or does it create a sub-directory with a fresh folder? If it's the latter I'll be installing all the games via Steam sooner rather than later. -
CM2 - FULL INSTALLERS and BIG BUNDLE INFO

Testy! For a non-contributor. -
There's nothing broken per-se.....The units match the Briefings now and it's fun to play, but it's very hard to score a victory, at least in the early scenarios (mostly for VP balance reasons IMHO), but without having the full decompiled campaign to look at it's not really fair for me to comment beyond that. Suffice it to say that I have been disappointed with my results, not with the game play (which is actually kind of exciting).

Is the issue simply that you cant use rez-explode.....If so, I like blowing things up! Just let me know what needs exploding (& I'll stick the files in a private location for you to download).

I had a funny feeling you would say something very much like that, including the petulance. Which one of the countless threads that you will inevitably create might a newcomer happen to choose when making a casual search for the first time? Maybe leave Battlefront's job to @BFCElvis? PS - And we're up to two already.....Bingo!
