  1. Agreed. This is a feature I've been waiting for a long time as well.
  2. Have you seen anything about what happened to the 50,000 'demo models' that were built in 1943? (of which I own one ). I know they were sent to the front for evaluation in '43, but other than that I've not read much.
  3. Thank goodness it's an optional feature. All those lines crisscrossing the map in CMx1 make the game look like an awful, cluttered mess.
  4. Excellent, sounds good to me. Thanks for the explanation!
  5. Cool, no worries. It's just that, being an avid Mosin collector, it stood out to me right away.
  6. I see the M44 is not in the list of Soviet weapons. Is this an oversight? M44 production in 1944 was huge, and there are ample photos of troops at the front equipped with it.
  7. ...because you modeled the non-scoped model of the M91/30 with a turned-down bolt handle. That, of course, was something that was only found on sniper models: Standard 91/30 rifle. This is what the bolt handle should look like on the non-scoped model: http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/0003.jpg Sniper rifle. Note the difference in the bolt handle: http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/0046.jpg
  8. Totally uncalled for, and you know that. Show some manners next time.
  9. ...but private citizens in the U.S. can still own flamethrowers.
  10. I certainly hope so. Even a limited amount like, say, 500 rounds would be better than nothing. Like you say, right now the gun quickly becomes worthless if the person holding it is engaged in a firefight for an extended period of time.
  11. Here's an original thought: set up your own scenario and test it yourself, instead of making these long-winded posts and asking someone else to do it for you.
  12. I dunno, why don't you research it and tell us?
  13. Steve, are the wheels on AT guns going to be animated any time soon? It looks strange right now to see them "skidding" across the terrain.
  14. He still has issues with the training missions, last I heard.
  15. What are you going on about? Tank mis-identification is not in the game.
  16. subrke, then please explain why the AI is showing this behavior as well. They never, ever have been like this before. Whatever the case, it is an issue that needs to be fixed.
  17. From Wikipedia, 37mm M3: Men of the 7th Division, US Army move a gun up to the front line of Kwajalein.
  18. He's been busy fighting the reptiloid hordes all that time.
  19. ...and hence why even to this day the US military has "no salute zones" in combat areas.
  20. No, it has definitely not always been there. I've been playing the CMBN and CMFI since they both were released, and this issue never, ever cropped up before the latest patches for both games. Yes, it is a bug, because before the last update(s) the AI was smart enough to know which side of the wall it should be on. It no longer does. Load up the Biazzo Ridge scenario and watch some of the crazy things the German side (when controlled by the computer) does with its troops when approaching a wall. I dunno how many times it has to be said: it is not just a problem with player-controlled troops.
  21. Norton is not worth the time or frustration fiddling with settings in order for it to not flag a file as a potential virus. Dump it, and go with something that's far less obtrusive.
