  1. Go to BF website, login, go to my account, select my orders. Everything you have ordered should be there. As to CMSF upgrade, please read the other threads. Your answers are there for how to use your CMSF original key to activate the CMSF2 install etc This is a new install so having CMSF1 active has absolutely nothing to do with installing CMSF2. You will need to use the activation shortcut with your CMSF1 licnese key
  2. Let me know if you find any that don't. There were some issue with ToE changes, but I think they all got resolved. Wouldn't be totally surprised if something cropped up though. Nice thing is you can open them in CMSF and make corrections to have em run in CMSF2 if needed.
  3. I am not sure I buy into the "Americans were afraid of casualties argument". 1 - Eisenhower expected catastrophic casualty levels for the airborne drops in Normandy, but stuck with the plan. 2- American Generals seemed to care little about the bloodbath in the Huertgen. 3 - American casualties in the island hopping campaign were horrendous on a number of occasions. I don't believe I have heard of US Combat Commands notoriously leaving trails of knocked out Shermans. On the contrary, in the pursuit across France US (and Allied) armor was hard pressed to find German forces that were running back to the Reich as fast as they could. The bigger problem was fuel, not wrecked tanks. The closest reference to trails of armor might be the British armor trying to force a way past Caen. References to North Africa are interesting but also represent America's first introduction to modern combat, yes there was a learning curve but all combatants faced that to some degree or another throughout the war. Hell look at the behavior of Germany's Panzer Brigades in Lorraine. Now there you definitely find trails of armor. They just happen to be German. Frankly at almost no point in the war did Germany ever seriously threaten the US with the loss of a division- the exception being the 104th during the opening days of the Bulge. Put the shoe on the other foot though and German losses of full divisions was a fairly regular occurrence from 1943 on.
  4. QB item sounds like a possible bug. Will likely need more detail, I just did a quick run asking for suggested forces and no crash. Could be map of force specific. the second item- With a population of 1,600,000 Homs is the third large city in Syria after the capital Damascus and Aleppo. It is centrally positioned in Syria and is home to Al-Baath University among other institutes. There are many restaurants and hotels. The old name for the city of Homs is "Emissa" or "Emizza", but in standard Arabic it is called "Hims", and "Homs" is its informal name.
  5. you can open a ticket if you are like me and used to sneak a peek at your Christmas presents long before you were allowed to open em. They can fix you up while they continue working on the source issue.
  6. Ninja'd by Steve and it is 1 am his time, I have no excuse
  7. For those of you interested in messing with different formations and vehicle usage there are some interesting variations in CMSF Beware though of creating a scenario and mounting up the units in any of the formations below. The game will reset your units returning the original vehicle occupants and downsizing your squads to fit. Your extra men go awol somewhere in the great beyond when you launch as a battle. If you want to do this you have to mount them actually in the battle. If you want them to have Javelins, grab them first in the scenario editor as HMMWVs don't carry em. Quick review of various US formations and squad sizes. US Marines 13 men. A Team 5 men, Teams B&C 4 men each Stryker Mout Squad 10 men A Team- 4 Teams B&C 3 each Heavy Infantry Mout 9 men A,B & C teams 3 men each. All other Infantry Formations have 9 man squads Team A 5 men Team B 4 men If you want to mount them in HMMWV trucks the various capacities are as follows if you dismount the drivers and crews M114 M240b 5 men M1114 4 men M1114 Mk19GL 5 men but not from a single team (you can't mount Team A from a Marine squad, but you can mount the 3 man MG team and the HQ team - go figure) M1046 Tow 5 men but not from a single team, similar to the M114 Mk19 M707 5 men The Mk19 and .50 units are only available by selecting regular infantry or Marine vehicles but the .50 when you bail the crew takes the .50 with them. Stingy bastards Why did I look at this? - Generation Kill and The Long Road Home.
  8. Correct you can use the CMSF1 Marine module code, at least that is my understanding. If you do need to do each you'll find out quick enough if you don't see access to the Brit or NATO campaigns. Doh! See below for correction
  9. Forget having CMSF1 installed. That is irrelevant. All that matters is that you own it. So go purchase the big bundle upgrade. Download the bundle Go to my accounts page and grab your CMSF1 activation code Your CMSF2 activation code comes in your email confirmation along with the DL link Run the CMSF upgrade installer (it is actually a full game installer, not really an upgrade) using the activation shortcut activate using your CMSF1 code using the activation shortcut activate using your CMSF2 code Launch game
  10. heh yeah this is the first title where I have literally asked someone to mod s**t.
  11. Kieme's is up under CMSF. The sewage one isn't mine, but I'll see about that one. What I'd really like is a mod set for really trashy terrain tiles - streams to look like sewage and general tiles to reflect basic trash. My trials with the second have not worked out very well yet.
  12. You can also use this by selecting the opfor unit and your units that can see it will be highlighted. That may be an Iron mode item, not sure as that is the only way I play.
  13. Having CMSF on your PC or not has nothing to do with it, this is not a typical upgrade, it is a new game. You need to go to the my accounts page, go to your CMSF1 purchase and grab the activation code there and apply that to your activation. CMSF2 knows nothing about your CMSF1 without using that activation so you can't activate the "upgrade without first proving to it that you owned CMSF1. Basically what you want to do is run the installer, launch the activation shortcut, paste in your CMSF1 key, repeat with CMSF2 key. In effect you need 2 keys. One to show you own CMSF1 and the second to show you have CMSF2. This only applies to folks purchasing at the discounted upgrade price for those who have CMSF1. See this thread for some of the responses from Steve on this.
  14. to expand on Wicky's more … succinct answer. Battlefront does not set any sides troops to be superior. Those settings you or the scenario designer would use in the editor if you want to create a unit with more or less experience or morale. The goal of the game is to try and reflect as much as possible what equipment and doctrine would reflect. The Americans for example have some advantages in firepower with the Garand versus the Mauser, but the German placement of MGs into squads can completely alter that firepower balance. Americans have better comms and therefore better C2 and faster call times for arty etc etc. That .50 firing for 5 minutes should have an impact. (actually a few impacts - I am surprised that there is only one casualty.) I'd have to see the game in question to give better feedback.
  15. it actually shouldn't be. Just to confirm, you did activate using the CMSF1 key correct?
  16. well I do get free drinks at the beta bar...….
  17. My procedure is I copy the zip file to a specific folder - in this case a folder caller CMSF2, nothing else is in that folder. When I unpack it creates a folder inside there for the installer package. The parent folder for that is where I create all the folders for the individual installers for CM games. Kind of looks like this in a directory tree CM Game Installers CMFI CMBN CMFB CMSF2 CMSF v200 Installer Zip file CMSF v200 Installer folder CMSF v200 Installer BRZ files A, B and C Intro media When I run the installer I specify a battlefront folder where it creates the CMSF2 folder and installs the files. My suspicion is the place you put the installer to unpack is grabbing files from possibly the demo zip file.
  18. anything else in that D drive like another installer - maybe the demo?
  19. heh heh yeah I know what you did or at least why it worked. It is NOT the norm for sure.
  20. you have to tell it first that you own CMSF for the upgrade to work.
  21. go to the upgrades section. Top item under games from the homepage
  22. those are in the download, question is more where are you unpacking the installer to and where are you telling it to install. The location you unpack the installer has those 3 files and moves or copies them to your install location depending on where you tell it to install.
