  1. maybe i shouldnt speak of the "things i have no knowledge of" but i'm learning and willing to look like an idiot if i learn something, </font>
  2. Well, we can't leave, if we cut and run, then there would be nothing to do...
  3. Now as far as i know firearm in most iraqis house will get you detained for many reasons </font>
  4. probably more like getting drop-kicked in the chest until he gets serious internal bleeding. One of the main reasons my mother moved from Russia to US: absolutely did NOT want me drafted into the Russian military.
  5. no, but sometimes the auto-loader eats the gunner
  6. I'd imagine the barrels are for intimidation and deterrence. and also for looking pretty in parades. which is basically the same as intimidation and deterrence.
  7. Does CMSF model this? (if it's true) </font>
  8. i don't get it, if the ESV is exactly the same as the ICV, and none of its engineering abilities are simulated, then whats the point of including it?
  9. for some reason, i get the feeling that there wasn't a whole lot of actual damage to the stryker. It didn't blow to bits or have any visible damage, it seemed like the huge shockwave of the explosion just, flipped it over...
  10. he breaks into a 'robot' dance in the middle of the battlefield.
  11. Ya, howabout it Rune? The bay area! Lets see, we got... car burglary? wait, no, nevermind... howabout drugs, you like drugs, right?
  12. tell me about it, i was a wee little boy of maybe 13, staying home sick from school and reading my brothers "Game Informer" magazines. I flipped to the end of some issue and saw, "demo of the month - Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord". Why, it was love at first sight.
  13. hey, i thought it was fine, before your unnecessary little comment. And for the record, what you said about the Soviet Union confirms your ignorance.
  14. out of curiosity, JaguarUSF, whats the biggest battle you've ran to this point (in terms of map size and amount of units)? Did it run smooth? also, what video card do you have? And how much RAM?
  15. i hate when people like you go on to have their long, useless, unjustifiable rants. Calm yourself, because as far as i see it, the Israeli-palestinian conflict is just about as justifiable as god. There is no measure for who has suffered more pain or who is truly righteous, and even if there was, no one has every record of every crime of Palestinians against Israelis or vice versa. don't bring your political bullsh*t here.
  16. i refuse to purchase any game that simulates fish murder in such chilling realism. Im boycotting BFC.
  17. two different sides have their own distinct advantages, so it is assymetrical, but balanced, as in a game like Starcraft, where everyone had their own special little abilities, but it ended out to be a very balanced game. while the US has superior training, more and better hi-tech equipment, and air/artillery support, the Syrians have home court advantage (defending urban area=General's wet dream), Unconventional warfighters, like religious extremists, AL-Qaida, terrorists, and old government loyalists and sympathizers, spies, IEDS, VBIEDs. Trust me, with these new assymetrical forces, it will no longer be "my tanks shoot your tanks and then i ride into your capital type wars, of course they can be an option, but you can simulate numerous other things like occupations, etc.
  18. i think BFC already confirmed, grenadiers get M4 w/ aimpoint scope and M203A1, regular riflemen get an M4 with Aimpoint, maybe squad leader gets something different. Regardless, you won't see the variation you see on GIs in Iraq, with all sorts of crap like flashlights, fancy scopes (some like Aimpoints, some ACOGs, Elcan, EoTech, etc) double clip holders, stock magazine carrier, camo paintings, whatever. one thing that i was wondering about is that in the Unit interface when you have, say, a squad selected, it shows the riflemen as having an M4 with an Aimpoint AND a vertical foregrip, but in the screenies of the actual US infantry, none of them have the vertical foregrips. Explain plz? i think it would be nice for the soldiers to have the foregrips, it seems like most soldiers have them nowadays.
  19. its cheaper? Its lighter? Its the status quo? i dont really know, actually.
