  1. Right mouse click and hold while you move the mouse forward and back allows you to tilt the camera to your heart's content. I really like the new camera controls.
  2. The trench thing has been mentioned before and you can change the facing of 2 or more sections depending how you place them. I'm not too fussed if crewmembers not actually poking their heads visibly out of a hatch aren't actually rendered.
  3. For me, actual damage modelling doesn't have to be too remarkable. I'd be quite happy with the "Drooping gun barrel of death" on KO'd tanks.
  4. I don't have the save game from before the replay where I saw it happen, but I do have from the end of that turn. So from that point, I gave orders to both commanders to button, and they slid into weird positions inside the AC ( the front guy was upside down, the rear AC's commander was sort of on his side on the floor ). The next turn I told them to unbutton and they both slid down the side as per the screenies, so it IS reproducible ( on my machine, at least ). Email on it's way, Wildman. I'm on Yahoo too, so just attached it directly as it's about 4Mb. No worries, Phil, as long as it helps
  5. Well, that told me, the helpdesk closed the ticket and emailed me to "Please post game-related feedback to the public discussion forum at www.battlefront.com/community". Ok, so here's a possible bug - may only be graphical though. I was having a go at the "Cats and Dogs" scenario in WeGo mode. I had parked 2 Puma's in the trees. Due to incoming fire, both commanders had buttoned up. During the orders phase, I ordered them to Open Up. When I watched the turn, I saw something that looked a little odd, so I reran the movie file and saw that both commanders opened their hatch, then graphically slid down the side of their armoured car. I took a series of screenshots to show - first 5 screenies ( in 4 & 5 you can see the 2nd commander doing the same thing ) Later I had an unbuttoned AC and decided to button it. The hatch closed, but the commander slid down into a reclining position, partially clipping the vehicle model - Last 2 screens. I don't know if the commander's model's position affects anything or not, but better to let you know. In subsequent turns, the models were back in the correct position, so the effect is ( probably ) only for the duration of the turn in which it occurs. I've not seen this with any other vehicle.
  6. Installing them is easy - add a folder called "Z" to your Data folder. Add the modded files there. Voila ! Restart game and marvel !
  7. Good trick, but that's a bit rich - the vehicle crew can scout better than the scouts ?? I thought the scouts were scouts because they're good at .. scouting.
  8. Sorry about that - I'd change it, but this thread doesn't have "Edit". ok, that's weird, I can edit this post, but not that one... Edit: @Other Means - no, they're right, the Jpg is 1/3 of the size of that pic. <hangs head>
  9. Nocturnal cat. Gotta love the way the muzzleflash ( thanks for the mod, Vein ) lights up the surroundings at night. The depth of the game is right there !
  10. I did try that and on one occasion came up to a hedge and actually saw foxholes and one "Ami" sitting near them - up against the other side of the field ( it was a bit triangular so the other side was relatively close ). But sneaking further up the hedge I found a closer "invisible" enemy and died. So it's a bit hit or miss - if you crawl up to a hedge and no one's on the other side, you might see something. If someone IS on the other side, you wont have a chance to get away. So it's not really scouting if the only way to do it successfully is if you know where the enemy are and aren't. But I assume there IS a way to do it and I'm just too thick to figure it out without some help from the grogs.
  11. Hmmm, do you have to see exactly what they are to qualify ? One of my units on one of the objective spotting er... spots sat there for about 20 minutes and suddenly could see 8-10 enemy icons ( generic "?" ). I was really pleased with them, but at the end, I was told I scored zero for spotting enemy units. And .. to those in the know - assuming you don't sit behind a hedge for 20 minutes and go looking for the enemy ( which I tried a couple of times ) - what's the approved/preferred technique ? Because usually my guys ( despite crawling ) were seen and gunned down by enemy they never saw.
  12. Cheers Steve - I think many of us in this thread were beginning to come around to the "there's not much wrong with the accuracy" side. However, the thread has given rise to concerns over the move-and-shoot issue - can you give us any more info about that please ? I ( and several others it seems ) was always under the impression that this was unlikely for WWII era AFV's - at least with the main gun. Happy to be disabused if my perception is incorrect, but it's being brought up because we don't really know for sure ( I'm sure you guys have read and studied a lot more on the subject than [some of] us ) Edit : D*mn you, Gryphonne !
  13. I see them here : Ok, edited to remove the droids they weren't looking for guess I misunderstood the question.
  14. Saw it too after adding the soundmod. Also like it.
  15. Cheers, will do - sending to General Support. Ticket ID : KJV-139111
  16. Well, it may just be graphical, but I can't know that, but BF will if I can show them what I think may be a bug.
  17. Probably, but it's done its job by then eh ?
  18. Is there an approved email address or other form of contact to send bug reports - or do we just open a thread ? Cheers
  19. Thanks, flames look really good. PS: I assume that your skies mod varies according to the weather and time of day ?
  20. I think what GAJ is saying is - basically if you get a "?" symbol for a Sound-Contact, you should know if it's an AFV or infantry - the sounds should be readily distinguished by your troops.
  21. Just off screen near the top right is an armoured Herren-falke...
  22. Hehe, I signed up just the other day to download a couple of the new mods that are coming out and have to agree - the Captcha used is insanely difficult to see. I think I took 3 goes to get it right ( and that with cycling through several options before settling on one I thought I could read. )
