If they take Mariupol they have that "bridge" on paper. It's not like that very moment Ukraine is going to call them and be like "Congratulations! you have a road connecting Russia and Crimea! Please don't turn off your console while reality is being saved" and let them keep it.
What I'm saying is that the south is notoriously hard to defend when you have an empty steppe with no forest areas in the north and a sea in the south.
As for Kyiv - massive nope at this point unless something changes. Human waves at Hostomel are also mind boggling.

Finally was able to catch up in this thread.
First and foremost I would like to wish every forum member affected by the war all the strength, courage and hope in this awful time! Especially to our Ukranian friends! Slava Ukraine!
Thanks everyone for contributing. It has been a total surreal experience to be able to see news popping up in this thread often well before mainstream media picked up on it.
Also thanks to this great community to keep sharing the extensive knowledge that’s been on display here while also keeping the discussion on topic, free from slander, attacks on each other and trolling (at least it never escalated). It goes to show how excellent and mature this community is.
I have little military knowledge to inject into the conversation, but I wanted to add the above to show my respect.
Let’s hope the war will end sooner rather than later and we can all go back to playing games instead.

Thanks, I am glad you like it.
Yes, the installer should have set that up actually. But it is pretty easy to do manually. Here is what you do (I used Win10 but similar steps will work for Win7 - just some commands might be in slightly different places):
Open the start menu and scroll to the Whose Turn Is It group and expand it Right click on the Whose Turn Is It short cut and select More | Open file location That will open windows file explorer showing the shortcut for Whose Turn Is It. Copy the short cut (select it <ctrl>c or right click copy) In that windows file explorer click on the Startup folder - it is at the same level as the folder you are currently viewing likely a few lines above it on the left hand folder view Paste the short cut into the Startup folder Next time you restart WTII will start up as well.

Different type of profession but still relevant for the discussion:
I am a pilot flying about 200 passenger per leg from A to B.
There are a LOT of variables at work in the process getting passengers and their luggage from A to B safely and in a timely manner.
There are a few cardinal sins to be made when things do not go as planned and get people angry quickly in my experience:
-Not giving any information at all
-Making promises you can’t make true.
    -Lying about the situation
I often see that we are affraid to bring bad news and then try to make plans to keep people happy as long as we can, or just decide not to give information in order to avoid discussion.
This doesn’t work and frankly, people are perfectly capable to accepting bad news.
Its all about how the flow of information is managed once things go wrong that define wether those 200 people disembark with respect or outrage in the end.
    - Addressing people frequently even though there isn’t any news is very much appreciated.
-Giving a timeframe helps people feeling respected even though you might have to adjust that timeframe once in a while.
I am not saying I am a guru, but these are important lessons we get taught as captains and I feel its quite applicable to whats going on here lately.
    Just my two cents, really.

I hear you about the 19 pages.
Every time I see the ‘Holy blue dot of new posts’ appear I think this must be BFC posting about the actual patch instead of random banter I find instead.
That does not please the Refresh Monkey God!
I firmly believe this is the actual reason of the long wait.
So, please stop posting here gentlemen! Unless your offering to the Refresh Monkey God of course.

Count me to the club of safe people.
Checked my financial transactions and I am glad to say no malicious transactions have been made. I also bought CMSF2 upgrade upon release.
