  1. 3 x t90 v 3 x t72 regular crews normal moral excellent condition vehicle highest possible cross wind flat map high wall running left to right creating a channel 2 tanks per channel , one left , one right 2600ish metre apart left crew unbutton test1: first shot per tanks left = kills opposite tanks right i.e 3 in row Left crews were expected to spot first and did, its the fact they were regular crews shooting over as great as distance as possible in the highest possible cross wind. 3 tanks, 3 shots , 3 hits, 3 knocked out hulls. Would have expected the cross wind to have some effect at making sure the shot wasnt direct / straight. Was/is the t90 that easy to aim over 2600 metres ? Would a shot taken over 2 miles not arc at all in a strong wind ? Curious.
  2. yeah so when does a week officially start Sunday or Monday ...
  3. yippee , sounds like you are still on track then , awesome , thanks martin
  4. Dont know how accurate this is but you can see from the graph that traffic shows an upward trend when the CMBN site went up at the tail end of 2010 http://www.battlefront.com/community/attachment.php?attachmentid=752&stc=1&d=1302879017 http://sitelogiq.com/battlefront.com Suspect a larger portion of that is my 500 hits per day
  5. a case of one one-upmanship if ever i have seen one
  6. As stated in another post BF are a relatively small developer comparied to the likes of EA , if Charles (lead developer i believe) happened to catch a cold and was off for a few days that could create a delay. I agree that a fine tuning of the release date would be helpful to manage expectations but there would be **uproar** from some if Charles did catch that cold and it was missed by a couple of days.
  7. great screenshot and sorry to bring it up again ... would be a nice features to see all units names as opposed to just commander for the reasons stated above ... you become attached.
  8. its a fair question When running xp pro 64 bit i was finding clearing it down every few months help performance , it was a gaming machine , nothing else on it apart from the latest few games and i did everything i could to keep the performance to the optimum (have other machines for storage, media sharing , net usage , work etc ). A more recent upgrade took it from to win 7 ultimate , then installed an SSD drive and had to install OS again, retrograde to windows 7 pro recently to resolve a gaming issue , then back to ultimate. One of the benefits of being a developer , you get a lot of free software to play with (i.e machine is organised in such a way to create minimum problems running an OS reinstall). I'm not saying its up to battlefront to support this type of user ... more important for them and us that they protect their IP and i agree , all im saying is i end up being this type of "install OS a few time a year" user and simply wanted to understand the implication of the new DRM app on me. Cheers
  9. I dislike facebook , ran a poll recently on a forum, results were about 50 - 50 surprisingly , was expecting more people to like it. /anti-facebook faction.
  10. I know there was another topic on DRM that was closed recently by Steve , just wanted to get my 2 cents into this issue. I am another one of these people that tend to format and rebuild the OS a few times per year. eLicences worked well (once i figured it out) i could uninstall the licence and reinstall it when required , only problems that every occurred was when i forgot to uninstall the licence the first time. Under this set of circumstances i simply wanted to understand how the new licence system effected me. The other thread appeared to suggest 4 activations we allocated in the first year then 1 per year there after. The above then suggests changing a critical component (i guess it changes the hardware hash#/footprint ... Microsoft do the same thing) can prompt the need to reactivate. Simply looking for clarity. Thank you Scott
  11. In CMSF we get this detail on vehicles , would love to see it on infantry units too , hate the graphical indicators , not detailed enough.
  12. i must have looked at these screenshots 50 times already.
  13. at least you have entertainment , i have babysitting
  14. I would say very very unlikely , i have 29th pencilled in , battlefront probably don't event know yet though , they appear to come from the "Odd Ball" (Kellys Heros) school of development i.e they like to take it easy and do it in there own time "woof" .... as long as it works i say Do you burn the game to the media yourself or outsource it ? How much planning is involved ? How long does it take ? would be interesting questions. Did BF say the physical media would be sent out on day of release ? ... that would take a bit of planning / work , therefore a release date should be known. Always understood we were kept in the dark as the release dates really were unknown but getting closer then the point of no return must be soon ... stabbing in the dark i bit i know ... and very bored. So in summary i dont know a thing.
  15. beautiful , great to see some info to ease the long wait for the release , keep em coming ... even if they are fake keep em coming
  16. 15 or 16 days to go ? ... hopefully .... any update much appreciated BF.
  17. wow i thought we were having a mature debate , obviously that wasn't the case.
  18. cheers , sorry missed that. So not available now , hopefully we will see it eventually unless the general consensus is that the work around is good enough. Agree there is a risk but its very VERY small and would have to be the target of someone very determined and be applied to someone very unaware of the threat.
  19. Any plans to give the "STRATEGIC AI" triggers ? I saw a BF post a while back explaining the addition of more PLANS and GROUPS is a priority.
  20. Thank you for the clarification George.
  21. Going to go out on a limb here and say I wish i could answer categorically but i honestly cannot remember if this is 100% the case. I would hazard a guess however that if MG teams have ammo bearers its 99.9999999% likely mortar squads will have them too as the programmable support required for this sort of team split and ammo sharing is already in place. Wouldn't make an awful lot of sense not include for mortar squads unless the doctrine of the time expressly restricted it.
