  1. I don't remember or perhaps never knew if the AI side was affected by command delays.
  2. I'm hoping without Borg Spotting, Marders will actually be useful.
  3. Steve did say this in the CMSF forums not too far back:
  4. I tried to find a citation for this. So far, all I have come up with is a picture of a King Tiger with a hole in its front turrent with an unreferenced note saying: "It seems this tank was killed by an American 76 mm armed M10 from the 813 TD Bn on 28 August 1944 in front of Sailly near Mantes on the Seine just west of Paris." This would just sneak into the CMBN timeframe at least until the Market Garden module.
  5. Worst line in Saving Private Ryan: "They're killing us with that 20mm!" Well, duh, that's the point isn't it? Is it wild optimism to hope they're keeping AA guns out of the game until they can add on screen effects?
  6. So in the game, will infantry be able to slowly weasel their way though the hedgerows or do they have to blow a hole in it?
  7. I know there was some discussion of it in the CMSF thread. I'm guessing it will not return with CMBN. Should it ever? Will it make a bigger difference on the Ostfront?
  8. Sgt Joch posted this in an old thread: "It might be of interest to post this again, pulled it out of Panzertruppen, vol.2: Quote: division---------------PzIII----PzIV----PzV----Stugs--------- 2nd Panzer-----------------------96------79----------------- 9th Panzer-----------------------78------40-------5---------- 11th Panzer-------------26-------89---------------8---------- 21st Panzer---------------------112-------------------------- 116th Panzer------------13-------86---------------6---------- Panzer Lehr-----------------------98------88----------------- 1st SS Panzer--------------------45-------54-----45-------- 2nd SS Panzer--------------------54------78------42-------- 12th SS Panzer-------------------98------66---------------- 17th SS Panzer-Grenadier--------------------------42------ List of tanks available to Panzer divisions in the West, june 10, 1944. Does not include independent units, like Tiger battalions. It also does not necessarily matchup to their TO&E when they went into combat, since some were still rebuilding."
  9. There were some Pz IIIs in Normandy but the purpose of Mord's list is to contrast CMBO with CMBN. CMBO did not have the PZ III. It's probably a good candidate for later inclusion though.
  10. I have serious doubts. I don't see any gun listed that would be able to effectively fire at aircraft.
  11. I don't know this for a fact but I wouldn't be surprised if only SS divisions had the Wespe and Hummel in Normandy.
  12. I'm thinking only Fallschirmjaegers and Gebirgsjaegers used Recoilless-at least in Normandy.
  13. I don't think the Hellcat reached the front until mid Sept '44, barely making it into the time frame. I believe after the Commonwealth module comes out we'll already have close to 90% of the vehicles/guns we had in CMBO giving them 2 more modules and another game family (the Bulge) to equal what we got with CMBO. Steve said he doesn't want to make that a goal but I think they'll acheive that quite easily especially since one module will have rare vehicles as one of its selling points.
  14. I hope some one wouldn't mind answering a related question that I've seen asked but hasn't been confirmed. Will we have trucks be able to tow anti-tank guns/ on map artillery in the initial release?
  15. Right, thay want it in. They just don't want to hold up the game for it. They didn't have to hold up the game for a couple of trucks. I want it in too eventually but I'd rather have flamethrowers first.
  16. You're right, I should not have said "sure" as it was a supposition. I base my reading of the tea leaves however on this quote from Steve. I presumed that since it took this long to do CM:BN models that preliminary work must have started on the Commonwealth vehicles by now. Or perhaps I'm just misinformed on what Cassio does . Either way you're right in that I'm optimistic in that I believe the pace of things will pick up. Happy New Year. I hope you're not near the floods.
  17. For the impatient however, I would hazard to guess development will speed up as: 1. Afghanistan is done. 2. NATO/CMSF is done. 3. Second programer. Now I'm sure that work has already begun on the Commonwealth module by team Cassio and maybe even already on CMSF II and Ostfront but I'm inclined to believe things will start happening at a faster pace and we customers will actually have the dilemma of WHICH Battlefront product we will buy.
  18. Al Huqf is a good one to start with. I think it came with the game but I've loaded lots of fan made scenarios so I'm not 100% sure. I assume you have done the training campaign.
  19. There are no Hummingbirds in Europe! And you call yourself a Grog.
  20. I think this quote from Steve in another thread will answer your question. Your English is excellent by the way.
  21. Steve said that won't happen in CMBN. Maybe by the Bulge game.
  22. I wouldn't expect aerial combat to ever be in the game, but I've been asking if Anti-air fire made it into the initial game a few times now. Hopefully some one who can comment will notice and reply.
  23. Some one was saying something about Ost battalions in Normandy. I take it these had a different organization than regular German Army Infantry?
  24. And we love you guys for it. If I'm not wrong at least Ranger uniforms should be no different other than the Ranger patch, right?
