Thanks to Marauder.org For these photos of Merrill's men crossing a dry rice field. Quite a few photos at this site. Just to show gamers that there is more to the PTO than jungles and beach assaults. Ed's CMBO grass and green fields mod with my doodad mod would do nicely for this area, late war Italy.

I use the free version of Zonealarm. It always asks me for permission with "this program has changed since ....." in a popup for things like McAfee, IE, AOL. Haven't tried CM yet.

I think you only use East Afrika 1940 to keep me busy with obscure mods. SS mech in NA lead me to bmps that no one knew exsisted, but I modded those too.

Might I suggest, before installing the "patch", uninstall all of the mods that you have installed by using these mod managers. Minor changes to the bmps in the patch will overwrite those modded bmps. I like the large gun pics that have been lightened to tan. Much easier to see.

I've played his "Drive to Mortain" operation. If you like ops, itsa good one. His Finland maps are fantastic and, (I don't BB anymore) I bet any of his BB stuff is good.

And for BFC PC version the manual is on your hard drive. Go to start, all programs, and find Battlefront or Combat Mission Afrika Korp and the manual is a PDF file.

I have tried the renumber with CMBO snowy mods and the results are mixed. Some don't look too bad, others are terrible. The game engine of each does different things with some vehicles.

You guys are not comprehending this. Do what you have suggested. Create a battle in the editor in July 43, Italy. In units, select Italian Airborne. Go back to parameters and change the date to July 44. Then preview the map and troops. Let me know what you think.

Before you assume you have a bad disc, remember to turn off completely your anti virus. McAfee can be a pain to shutdown. The last PC install I did took forever for the icons to appear in the (cd): drive window and then it would finally allow me to double click the installer.

Sergei I wouldn't worry. CMX2 could be years off instead of months. People still play the old classics like Steel Panthers. I bet we will still be complaining about CM for years to come.

I understand that Italy was out of the war after this time. But if I want green summer graphics in July 44 with Italian Airborne, I should be able to have it.

You are probably correct in that it is too tricky and time consuming. I'm not really a modder, just a tinkerer. I made a list of grau from bb to ak. It is at TPG. If something on that list works for summer bb to ak, the winter mod will work for ak winter, make sense?

What is your opinion of snowy on top of ww?
