  2. Since you mention Churchill, I'll assume you know CW kit. Try Hans' Small Operations, May 15th, 1940 at the Scenario Depot. Play as Germans against the AI French. The French are using Brit armour in this one. You can even give the AI a + level and + balance if you like.
  3. Without knowing your interests, it is tough to recommend. Generally anything by Hans, HSG, CSDT, more if you need them.
  4. Every once in a while this will happen to me after minimizing the screen and back to full screen again. I save the game, exit out completly and start the game up again. Problem gone. I have seen white arms on troops, white buildings, white tanks, etc.
  5. IIRC there is a trick to increase the size the other directions. one of those key + key + somethings.
  6. I should be able to come up with something. I just need to know for sure the country and date of the scenario in CMAK terms. ie USA infantry, Feb 43, NA. I can do the squads in camo and leave the COs in US greens to represent the advisors.
  7. Kingfish, once you have this worked out, what uniforms were the Belgians wearing? Andrew's Brit camo airborne looks good and I can renumber them for whatever country you decide on. I also have a black uniform mod at cmmods for commando units. Let me know if interested.
  8. How about Force A has to break through force B to get to the city that is empty. Far enough away to take a few turns and effort to get there by turn 10. On turn 10 a sharpshooter arrives in a building in the city, no ammo. On turn 11 Force B reinforcements arrive near the same building. If Force A holds the town, sharpy is safe. If not, a chance that the Force B will kill him before rescue. Either way a city battle will ensue.
  9. Has anyone else tried this or had this problem? I used some M15 MGMC and M16 MGMC. The M15 has a 37mm gun and the M16 only mgs. Jeeps, trucks, and the M16 won't show "dug in" in orders. I am guessing it is because of a "hull down" issue from reading other threads. Only vehicles with a main gun can be hull down? For the why? crowd, PBRs in Vietnam.
  10. Nice site. You need to update the text under links for the 1.03 patch for CMAK. It says we are still waiting for 1.02.
  11. While we are on the Brits, why do infantry tanks have AP rounds? I was looking at the German captured Val and Matilda, and found the same under the Brits. My guess is if the infantry comes under attack from an armoured vehicle. But some HE would be nice.

  13. Here's my idea. Fredrocker has a scenario where a no ammo sharpshooter shows up as a reinforcement. Your mission is to rescue him off the map. What if the player of your battle sends you a save game file and based on his progress you: place the poles as units on the map. or send the player a new battle with the poles on the map and his units where the progress was. I don't know if you can modify a save game file. Just a thought.
  14. I am not worthy of being one of your testers, but I applaud your idea and effort. There is so much more to CM then what comes on the CD. Hopefully you have started a trend.
  15. After you install the 1.03 patch you will have a US 45 looking pistol. I came across this mod in my Andrew folder and remembered the bmp in the patch. If you prefer Andrew's version you will have to install it again.

  17. Sorry to be a pest. I don't see the Aussie captured Italian tank units in the list. I assume the stats are the same. Sometimes it is nice to have dates for when you just can't find the darn thing. Thanks for the quick update so far.

Yes and that is when I continue playing and read that into the briefing provided. I imagine in my mind (a little one) that for whatever reason there is no support available and the objective must be taken within the timeframe allowed. Such is the goal of the scenario designer, to make it challenging and believable.
  19. "If attacking through no cover a call to arty for smoke should be made (arty will be handled according to need)" There are times that I question the tactics that we use in these simulations. I have been in CM battles where I thought "in RL I would pull back my troops into cover and wait for an artillery strike to help me out, or retreat altogether". Instead we take our 20 to 60 minute turns and move across open ground in the face of mgs and he guns. Sometimes there are other tactics, sometimes not. I would like to see more options for covering open ground, like more smoke.

  21. New mod, at cmmods Vietnam Jungle Green for CMAK Afrika. Combination of dark green palm trees from CMBO Pacific mod, Ed's summer trees and marsh, Juju's treebases, BFC hedge. Grapevines replaced by bushes made from one of Ed's trees. Back up your files. Use with McMMM for scenarios using East Afrika, North Afrika, All Combined early war with palm trees. Thanks to MikeT and the Pacific mod group, Ed Kinney, Juju and Hans.
  22. Hiya, I check your website from tome to time. Go to TSD, on left column under CMAK click operations, index, letter H I tried to do a link, but can't seem to figure it out.
  23. Gautrek's bmp 1210 crater with CMAK rock looks the best for a foxhole scraped from hard terrain and numbered 1209. The foxhole shares the bmp 1209 with huge crater. You have to decide if a bomb would not make a hole in the ground in hard terrain. Gautrek's 1210 crater is open in the center. BTW Gautrek's mod is a mod of Juju's mod.
  24. I erased the center of the CMAK NA rocky bmp and pasted it over Juju's crater then a second paste rotated 90 degrees. Not 3D but an interesting foxhole. As a crater, not so hot. Looking at more pics in other locales, I think I might try Gautrek's light color crater with the rocks for desert battles. For those who forgot, alt + 1 through 4 (the numbers above qwert on the keyboard, and not the F keys) to place craters, alt + 5 to exit. Foxholes (size 4) appear when parameters set to dug in and battle is an attack. [ November 26, 2004, 07:35 PM: Message edited by: junk2drive ]
  25. I found this interesting in relation to CM battles: "The Syrian attack on Degania A and Degania B began at dawn of 20 May 1948. The main objectives of the Syrian advance were the Jordan river bridges north of Degania A. After shelling the center of kibbutz by mortars and tank guns which continued even during the fights. An integrated Syrian force comprised of tanks, armored cars and infantry attacked the defense position at the outer perimeter of Degania A. They forced the defenders, 70 in number, out of their positions and into the communication trenches. Some of the Syrian tanks and armored vehicles were able to advance close to and eventually penetrate the kibbutz fence. But they were stopped by 20 mm cannons, Piat antitank shells and Molotov cocktails. One Renault 35 tank which penetrated into the kibbutz was attacked by Molotov cocktails and hand grenades . It remains in the kibbutz till today as a monument."
