  1. Mekong Delta I have a little battle at TPG for testing with the Delta as it's location.
  2. Possibly oren_m could send it to me, I could resend it to Hans. Any AIW grogs know what colour armour was used? TO&Es that I find show US Brit French and Soviet. Some salvaged from the desert, some purchased from European salavge yards. Were they repainted desert tan? camo? or left green? Any roundels on the turrets?
  3. A Simple Attack, Comrade by Hans. I played Allies vs AI.
  4. giga weevils were taking bytes of their favorite food. or a corrupt download. did you use a download manager?
  5. All you can go by is the download counter. Most people won't post. The voices in my head are fighting over you "fixing" your mods. I would rather you mod new things than perfect the "finished" ones. OTOH I can see the differences when you edit your mods. You do keep getting better all the time. Even Andrew Ed and Juju had to start somewhere.
  6. Gautrek's MR35 The ram's head on the turret is a nice touch.
  7. So, soon I will have my 70 troops fighting MR35s in Degania A ?
  8. You make a good valid point. However my troops took some losses, hit the dirt and stopped firing at anything. Then they recover and fire at the truck, starting the cycle over again. Finally the truck is knocked out and they switch to the infantry.
  9. Worse than that, last night my troops continued to fire at trucks while taking fire from enemy infantry. I guess the TacAI goes for the easiest target first. Makes you want to climb into the hard drive and kick some bmps. "Hey guys, the trucks aren't shooting at you, but those guys are. Fire back please."
  10. I think there are 2 types of CM players. (maybe more) The boardgame generation that thinks of CM in rules and dice rolls. The Atari to X box generation looking for something different in a RTS FPS. Group one just wants good gameplay. Group two wants all the toys.
  11. There was a thread about this recently. Search in scenarios or tips and tricks.
  12. I hope you try mine and enjoy them. I have looked at a few miniatures websites for scenario ideas and visuals from their wares. I modded the small shack in CMAK to look like a tent surrounded by sandbags from a miniatures photo of a bunker in a Vietnam game. You will find that scenario designers have a "style" like artists and you will like some more than others.
  13. Oh, you've seen my mods? Very CM relevent on my hard drive. (MW tan, LW green)
  14. How big is your hard drive? Maybe you don't have enough "temporary" space.
  15. As a broad generalisation, the USA and Soviets didn't seem to use camo at all and the Allies still won the war. I do so like to see camo on my screen though.
  16. Andrew Fox has a nice mod at cmmods. Brown or green pants option IIRC. The originals are pretty good too IMHO.
  17. I crown you the JasonC of poop! Seriously, good read, thanks for the effort.
  18. DEY your improved flak truck pack is nice. Any chance you could learn Patboy's tecnique for flaking paint?
  19. I did a google search Saturday and Bizrate etc had prices over $100 so it sounded too good to be true.
  20. The Proving Grounds has a "How to convert ASL maps to CM" under the design tips section.
  21. And don't forget the German helmets on the elite Chinese troops the were trained in Germany. Pics of these are at Axis History Forum under WWII Pacific.
  22. If you are here looking for help, you need to be nice. If you want to complain about drivers find a computer forum. ( pcmech.com is a good one) In Redwolf's defense I read "Demo was "Flat Out"." as the demo pegged your cpu hense "flat out"
  23. If you haven't been to the CMAKdb It has been updated to 1.03 except for the Aussie armour (I am confident this will be added soon). Dandelion has posted information on some of the units that read like history books. I don't know much about anything but I find these well worth reading. Thanks Dandelion. The are more unit pics, a forum, and some new features. A great resource for planning scenarios or finding the date and place for that one unit that escapes an editor search. Thanks to Chris for his excel charts, Folke for the website, and to all who has contributed to make it better.
  24. Sorry to highjack poppy's thread, but Ansbach, how do you define challenging? A draw? A minor victory? Do you ever give the AI +1 and +25 or 50 ? Do you play scenarios that suggest giving the AI a bonus? EDIT (these are just questions, meant to be friendly) There is a big difference between a 12 year old using the editor to make a random map, throwing some Tigers in one corner, Shermans in the other calling it done, and a well done, historical, playtested from every angle, by various skilled players, actual scenario. I have playtested some that were so far over my skills that I gave up trying. Lucho has one called C-First Strike at the Proving grounds. Brit commando raid on Germans in Norway. I still haven't finished that one, but I will return when I learn some new tricks. My "Brer Rabbit" Vietnam battle is a little different than the norm.
