1. You don't know how long its going to take them to move there until they try to do it. They may come under fire and hit the dirt... they may suddenly go from being Tired to being Exhausted and start Sneaking instead of Advancing...
2. I'd like to second this request. I realize that this feature may be disparaged as chrome, nonetheless I think its addition would be popular. It would just be awful fun to watch the battle unfold in all it glory after a hard fought game. In the event this feature is being considered would it be available for all game play options (i.e playback of solo, PBEM and networked games)?
3. How about 200 units instead of 200 pts?
4. It's improving all the time. It stands out as strange how there is that row of big buildings all in a line. Also, now that the roads are curvy it looks odd how the two ends that come to a fence around 5 buildings just end like that.
5. ... and it rocks. My one 105 VT dude completely won a 3000pt battle for me just now. One minute of shelling any trench, and it seems to clear!
6. I know Security said "not infantry guns" (IE no onboard), but I have to add that I had fun one time when I got three onboard mortars about 80m away from a trench, positioned _on the trench line_. Because on-board mortars lay their explosions in a line along the firing line, these three guys cleaned up that trench!
7. OK - everybody, don't send turns to WN or P76 till they finish their articles
8. Well - even if Harry has disappeared, here's thanks to him. It's a great program, and really doesn't need more updates (apart from "refresh on maximise", which would be great!)
9. It was a good battle (even though I got whipped: my own fault) - go try it!
10. Wow - that's a shame! Let's hope it's just a temporary web glitch. There was a new release of PBEMH reasonably recently, though Fuerte hasn't answered any of my emails for ages.... Maybe you'll have better luck: GJK, I'm sending you the last email address I had for him... GaJ.
11. You da boss. You say "email", "email" it is...
12. If they do it the same as last time, you have a chance to get a slot. You just have to watch the forum carefully and register interest quickly. Then prepare to be whipped ... there are seriously good players out there!
13. Plus, if CMX2 is not WWII, then it may not actually mean farewell to CMAK/BB...
14. Absolutely not CMBO, please, please. While CMBO is kinda fun, in a fairy-floss way, let's not eat fairy-floss competitively... it might make us sick....
15. Hmmm - why not? (taking great care to appear highly disinterested, lest registering interest here disqualifies entry!)
16. Funny thing is, I'd have still been impressed by the idea of the game, not put off by the rough graphics. The game counts, the graphics, don't, too much!
17. mPSI has it right. If you cut that lot and paste in excel you get the table back. If you tell me how to post a table here I'll tidy it up. There are 500 data point over 100 games in the CMBB data - see my post in Scenario Talk. They really do help you if you are looking for a balanced scenario. There are now something like this many CMAK games in the BoB register, so I'm looking to get those processed as well. GaJ.
18. I just found, over at We Band Of Brothers, a whole pile of statistics for the results of scenarios played by members there. For CMAK there aren't really enough results to be useful yet, but there are gazillions (specifically, 500+ games covering 100+ scenarios) of results for CMBB, and the results are very helpful if you're after a balanced scenario. Appended are the scenarios that had more than 3 games played (results given) and have an Axis average score of 50% +/- 5%.... GaJ.
Name Games "Axis Avg" SP - The Library 2P 8 51 Dead Ground and Rye 7 49 SP - 6th Army Probe 6 49 Hornet's Nest 7 52 Danube Blues 12 52 A Morning at the Zoo 14 52 Marxdorf 7 48 Road to Moscow 10 52 Mobile Defense 4 53 Pershotraveneve Ridge 16 47 Gefechtsaufklaerung 4 47 Kalinin Raid 4 53 B&T King of The Hill 6 53 B&T Izyium Diet Plan 25 46 Sapristi 4 54 Armor on the Boulevard 6 46 B&T High Noon 20 46 Hill 312 8 54 SP - Our Backs to the Volga 4 54 Jaegermeister 8 55

19. I came across the appended info (sorry about the bad layout - it was in excel) in Band of Brothers web site (edit to explain the numbers). With a few more games of each scenario, this will start to be really useful information. Funny that Fru. is the most balanced so far (I seem to remember it getting some flak in the early days). GaJ. 20. Revolutionary! I just tried the "put the disembark point near the move line" and it worked like a dream. Is this a secret that was maybe known to some before and now finally spilled more widely in this thread, or is it in the manual somewhere?
21. I just noticed the reflections of the house across the street in the windows of the second picture!!!   _That_ has got to get the loving attention to detail award!!
22. Before PC games, Grogs were the ones acurately painting lead figurines and carefully measuring the distances between them on a battlefield tabletop.
