  1. Will CMAK become another one of CDV's Special Editions like CMBO and CMBB with added missions and mods?
  2. CMBO,CMBB and now CMAK.......if you can find a better Tactical wargame call Ripleys!!!! Now go out and add CMAK to your CM library!
  3. Ok....as far as the video cards, the Geforce cards have always been more stable for more games then the ATI cards. This is my experiance (please no flames), I have friends who like the FPS games who love their ATI cards, but have had problems with games like the CM games, Blitzkrieg,Call Of Duty, ect.I think more games are tested with the Nvidia cards too, because I see less incompatibilties with the Nvidia cards then the Radeons with new games as they are released.
  4. Has to be a random map game when I was just learning to play CMBB. I had lost most of my AFV's, and what was left of my German infantry was scattered just outside a small village they had just retreated from. I had a Sturmtiger that was bogged for most of the battle until the last 8 turns when I was able to get it close enough to the village. I was getting mad because of it's limited range while my men were getting wasted and that big mutha took it's time getting close for a shot. Once it got close enough a Russian antitank gun disabled it...I though crap..games over now...but the it was facing the village and in range. Wow! I fired the first round and 4 houses blew up killing tons of infantry! After a few turns I was able to get of 1 more round from hell!. I remember the stats.....Sturmtiger 172 infantry casulties, 2 antitank guns destroyed ,with 2 rounds!
  5. Ok...how do you take a screen shot of CM and then post it on another website? I know.....but I play more then learn about the tech stuff.
  6. I think Michael is right. There are those who forget about a game when a new one comes out and those, who no matter what the new game has to offer, will never remove the older ones from their hard drive. I think the CM series will still have a very long life. I can understand why whenever I get ASL out and play with my brother at our summer BBQ's. 8. I like man as Michael Dorosh too! I just need to be more careful about dropping the soap when he is in a mood. I like man as Moon too....I honor his name sometimes by doing the "Full Moon" at my neighbors. [ April 22, 2004, 12:08 PM: Message edited by: Panzertruppe ]
  9. Sorry, I didn't know my thread would cause me to be rear-ended by what Bill Trotter refers to as "Grog Attitude". I take my 2 cents back....you can have the coconut.
  10. I know this has been talked about before, but before the CM series goes to the new engine "why not a Pacific Theater game"? I have been playing "Deadly Dozen Pacific",Ghost Recon Pacific mod,and in a few weeks Medal Of Honor Pacific Assault" so I think my favorite series (CM) should go there too! My 2 cents.....and a coconut.
  11. I'm in Davenport Iowa and just a few miles away is the Rock Island Arsenal and Museum. They have a Sherman that was knocked out during the Battle Of The Bulge on display with antitank hits all over it's side and front. There are many field guns and antitank guns (even a railway gun) and a rare German neblewerfer, along with captured vehicles from the Gulf War and other AFV's. When we travel to the wifes family in Waterloo there is another Sherman in a park there.
  12. Note....if your a wargamer and enjoy many of the older games Win XP will not work with a lot of them like the Close Combat series.
  13. Anyone know where Andrew's bunker mods can be found? Thanks! Bill
  14. I think "TANK ACE" has been reading to many issues of "Sgt Rock" and the "Haunted Tank". I too watched my copy of Saving Pvt Ryan last night and Mr.Dorosh is correct. NO JAGDPANTHERS!
  15. I'll second that! Even with CMBB and now CMAK we have witnessed all the improvements to the series only to find CMBO is still the best tactical wargame you can buy compared to any other wargames out there! CMBB and CMAK just showed that no other developer can ever touch the series!
  16. Both Wild Bill's and Michael's are good scenarios....there wasn't a Jagpanther in "Saving Pvt Ryan" Let us know if you post your scenario....I'll enjoy even a third version!
  17. Do you mean the "Special Edition" by CDV? What video card do you have..and the current driver? Are you able to exit the game or is the screen locked up when you hear the "ping" from the mouse click?
  18. CMBO-SE is only 19.95 now at most EB Games and Best Buy stores. It is worth the price unless you enjoy downloading hundreds of mods, scenarios, and patches.
  19. It probley is due to your i810 integrated card. The i810 uses system memory that can vary from 8-11 megs at any given time causing all kinds of graphical abnormalities. Because of your older system you can pick up a Geforce 2 32 meg card... fairly cheap now and should work great with your system. You can disable the i810 and get an PCI Geforce card because you may not have an AGP slot open. This should eliminate the graphic problem and improve performance. 20. It's a must have if you enjoy the other games. Why? because it shows how the CM games evolved and got better with every addition. It is also better then any other tactical wargame you can buy. Look for the "Special Edition" CMBO by CDV because you get the updated terrain and sound graphics plus a ton of mods on the CD.
