  1. Late Dec: WInter Rolls in and the fighting dies down. German units start moving west and France hold on only due to the bad weather. USSR readness at 24%, I think I got one 'hit' due to poland holding on so long.
  2. Dec 3 East: Poland waves the white flag. Her Partasin units are all but bleed white as the snow that now blankets eroupe. West: Huns dig in and France calls up more reservist as UK is sitting on her island and not aiding them. Med: Quiet Ouch: Lost comm and I droped two tech for Russia... damn but HT2 in 39 would have been sweat!
  3. Nov 5th East: Pol units reach the edge of Berlin. The rain and mud the sweaps across eroupe saves them from the hunter killer units of Huns in Poland. One small army group is now hiding in the swamps east of Warsaw tracked by 5 german units. West: Mud so the Huns dig dirt and await units from the east before advancing. Med: Quiet
  4. Oct 8 East: Warsaw falls.. damn it, it falls to those Hun bastards but the Pols will fight on in the fields and MTs; but with no supply West: BelLux falls quickly to a combined arm's assult that France cant stop. Her armys are still getting filled out and it looks like UK is sitting out this war. Med: Quiet
  5. Sept 17 East: Weak attack on Poland, Warsaw well defended against the foolish Huns that cross the border in to the great nation of Poland. Med: Quiet, but that fool in Italy is not looking like hes happy with the Western power's West: France notes a HQ and armor on the border with BenLux but they do nothing.. only god can save them now. Hmmm 2 tech hits this soon. Sad as in some games I swear I never get a hit till mid 40
  6. End of June 41 More of the same except the LF go nuts and bomb the London Port to bits. Three air fleets and one itilaian air pound that poor fishing town to dust.
  7. Well, Bio and I have had problems connecting so I'm not sure this match will lift off. But we are going to give it a try. Std 39 game with 3 house rules. 1)No sealion before DOW on Russia but 1 corps 1 army 1 air unit must remain in UK (after Framce falls) 2)Fleets must stay within one hex of ports for inactive minors (exception Italy can run back and forth to Libia but start and end within that one hex range) 3)No DOW on Turkey by axis unless all attacking units come from the Eroupe side. First time for Bio to be Axis vs Human. [ July 23, 2006, 07:59 AM: Message edited by: Iron Ranger ]
  8. June 41 Rockets off of Malta otherwise you would never know there is a war going on. USA 39% USSR around 50%.
  9. Axis held: Med: Everything but Syria, Turkey, Spain (73%), and Algeria Neutral - Iraq and Iran and TransJordan in UK minors hands. I had an Italian Army group turned around from heading to US for Syria.. 2-3 turns and they would have been set East: Battle line ran down the River in Poland / Romaian MTs with East Prussia in USSR hands. Sweeden and Norway Neutral. Finland still fighting on thier border. West: All in Axis hands except North America and Iceland. Was Preping a Army group (in UK) to first take Norway (3% US) then Iceland. Alantic: I think I had the upper hand. GR2 on Italys ships, most of the german ships were 3-6 str and sitting in port but the two fleets were combined near Brest. Tech: USSR L4 HA and L3 IW. Germany L2 Mech L2 IW L2 LR L2 AA L2 AF L2 AT and other minor ones, couldnt get my HT or L3 IW to fire off. Diplo: Learned alot, basicly I mucked it up but after UK fell I throw 5 chits in Spain. Should have been comming in soon? MPPs I think it was something like 600 to 450 in favor of allies. But in the next 2=5 turns I was going to sweap several minor (norway key) at little cost. Ending: I think we were looking at US unable to do anything for one full year (they had just entered the game) and having to fight through the Alantic before they could hope to divert Axis units from Russia. Russia was looking at the fall/winter of 42 with axis troops building in Romainia and a double line behind the Elde (?) river. USSR had powerfull units but not alot, I was getting ready to push out of the Romainaia MTs to take pressure off of the main battle in Poland. Combined that with the LF getting fully healed up and sent east the Red army was going to get bogged down. Two Bombers working over the close citys would drop his supply and no matter what his tech make it easyer for me to kill the USSR units. The game was still even but after a failed attempt to brake my river defence and winter comming (giving me time to finish my relocation of army groups west to Romainia) Stalin desided it would be better to sign in ink then blood. Roughy Germany had 30 ground combat units Russia had 20. Italy and Minor another 10 for Axis and 10 in Q for US. 6 HQs for Axis, 4 for USSR?
  10. Right now those troops are missing and I don't have much of an idea what would it consist of and when they would be available (production queue). Any help would be great. make them minor units. Give USSR a minor nation (Afganistan) with a huge number of minor corps that he can purchase.
  11. Sept 42 West: UK falls, this should free two+ army groups for the East. I just hope our techs can figure out these new guns the Red army is using. Med: Quiet East: Red steam roller moves on.
  12. Aug 42 West: All thats left of the UK is Manchester and a few naval units.. and a beat up BEF. UK will see the light of Fasicism soon. Med: Transjordan is retaken by UK armor East: Almost all of Poland is in the Red Armys hands. There is nothing I can do to stop them.
  13. "Well Irish, I beat everybody on the planet with the very famous RACK strategy." I never lost to RACK 'beat' it twice in fact but I knew it was comming as JJR loved it so much.
  14. "ground attacks being too powerful stuff" Air Fleets are too powerfull... now ground attacks are too powerfull... and BBs shelling shore units are too powerfull... but not on transports I guess. Bla... wtf everything is too powerfull? Or is each person's style of play. Also due to weather ect... luck is a huge factor here vs SC1. Is that the 'problem'?
  15. That should be readness then, not moral. I'd say the drop is as Blashy said, with that most of the men (in WW2) would be leaving loved ones ect... or at least people they paid to love them.
  16. May 41 East: All quiet for now. Stalin ordered his air fleets to stop spying on germany and the 3-8 units on the border.... they are just there to plant some corn. West: Western spy services have noted the lack of naval units in France and a steady stream of ships heading back to the Baltic. The coast however is jamed with troops. All is quiet with our transports from egpyt expected any day. Got out 2 HQs, 1 Corps, 1 Armor. Lost 1 Air, 1 Army, 1 Corps and several minor corps (some perma) Med: Rockets show up near Malta and start to rain hell on the defenders. Tech: Who knows Diplo: Not much for Diplo this game, Rambo got the Axis minor early but lost Scandinavia so its been a push (extra MPPs from 10 factor Denmark)
  17. Check your supply and what kind of sea's we are talking about. If its low supply and stormy sea's your not going to do much damage to any kind of ship. If the transport is in a port, forget it unless you attack with subs or CV's
  18. the mobility factor has no effect.. and what does almost even mean? that they take 2 pts more damage?
  19. Need to set a time to finish this game. Or at least move past the tide turning battles. Gone till the weekend, perhaps after/on Sunday.
  20. Dec 1940 Egypt has bogged down for now around the river Nile. Air fleets continue to bomb Alex and my army the rest of his units have low supply. Common wealth units continue to pour in but are sent to gaurd the rear areas as they have pop guns and fake tanks. USA and USSR both are not happy with Axis units near the Nile and send a note at AH about this. Storms in the Bay of Biscay save the German fleet (whats left of it) as the Bismark does down. The RN desides to leave to fight another day as the waves are too high for accurate gun fire. USSR continues to move troops around while the US orginize's its P39 Thunderbolts into a fleet.
  21. Late Fall 1940 Too late, german armor and itilain units cross in to epypt. The navy pounds our air fleet just outside of Great Libary. Low Sea's beach craft is spoted and hit by our air near Great Libary. The Aussys arrive to aid us but the situation looks hopless untill Malta kicks in destorying alot of the Axis units supply. Can we hold out?
