P.S.: Caucasus can only be deciding if one of the both sides makes a huge mistake - otherwise it will always end in a trench warfare at the border river and its mountains since neither side can cross it if the opponent at least has some corps there for defence It would take alot of planing, but para units + alot of air might break the dead lock.

Late April 1942: More jocking of force's little combat (seams the norm for SC2.. only in Jollys game has the combat been steady)

This is pritty much a back breaker for the side that 'gets the drop' on the other in this move. In our game I desided to let it slide and pulled my units that were already thier to France. You got first jump on Iran / Iraq and the axis have been in a tail spin the rest of the game. In the game above Terif got the jump on you and ect...... If DOWing Turkey is suck a sure win for Axis perhaps we need to look at this as well in HR's. I really dont like limiting the options people have but if this one 'event' is all it takes to win (granted there are more factors) then this will always be a race. Not bad in comparison to SC1 when it was just the air war race to see who would win 99% of the time.

No, I personally dont see a use for it. Historically Heavy Bombers couldnt hit crap at sea (yea its not a historcal sim). If you want to make use of bombers they need to reduce the ports that the convoys depart or start at.... its a fixed target and well done I think in SC2. If we do allow this then we should think on serface raiders as well..... and then I think we are getting out of the scope of SC2 and more of a tactical game.

My e-mail fixed. Game breakdown so far. Looking at spring of 42 right now. Axis hold: All of med except Grecce, Algeria and Turkey, France and Low countrys + Denmark. Norway and Sweden are not sending convoys, Finland DOWed by Russia. Only 2 citys in Russia have fallen. Diplo: Pritty much dead.. early axis minors for JJR and I shut down the convoys of ore to Germany just as early. Tech: Pritty basic so far. IW3 for USSR and Germany. Only one 'odd' advance with one Rocket with L2-3 tech for Axis. The Western Allies have meet, a long term plan has been desided on; and resources have been commited. USSR is invaded but not looking like a hapless girl so it appears nothing rash needs to be done soon. Russia: Riga and Minsk have fallen. All other citys in our 'boys' hands. A line of forts now runs from Leningrad to Smolick (sp) and our troops from the far east have just arrived and are getting orders now (April). An army group of our brave boys is deap in Finland having made a huge sweaping assult from the NE. Smolick (sp) is the 'pin' in our defence with a armored group entrenched in the city and our reserves getting reequiped behind it. Partisan's are active with units forming about every 2-3 turns. Naval battles continue around Leningrad with our last CN near death (str 2-1). Med: German armor advanced quickly into Iran this week after Iraq desided to throw in with the axis after Syeria recived the 'jack boot' of Fasicm. One Rocket unit continues to pound the poor lads in Malta (must be near 5 stars by now). Both Gabralter and Malta are cutting supply for both sides in this area. Atlantic: The Italian Navy was seen off the coast of Portagul when it fell so it could be on the loose or hiding around 'The Rock' No sub raiding, in fact its been very quiet since the Bismark was sunk. West: The war is heating up with air battles over the Channel. Three German Air fleets are stationed near Paris and fly out to hammer our bomber and air around London. Both UK units are pulled back for now ... 3-1 is bad odds. UK is garisoned by most of the troops from Egypt so invading her will not be easy. USA has just entered but has the Pacific Fleet as a bonus (Germany DOWed Spain). JJR is just finishing Minor Collecting, the Allies are looking ok but the loss of Egypt / Iraq / Iran means the Axis have the advantage of Posistion right now. MPPs should be close. Tech seams close. Dec 14 1941 West: Japs bomb Pearl Harbor and the US is not happy.. she joins the allies on the historical date! Atlantic: German subs continue to raid my convoys to USSR. RN is hunting but the seas are horid and we are taking damage. Med: Axis powers assult poor Syeria and take its capital.. another reason for the Allies to burn Germany and Italy to the ground. East: Winter sets in and the USSR shows off its new guns (IW 2). Otherwise just some minor movement in the snow. Another city falls to germany on, south side of the central swamps. Tech: Germany seams to have alittle of everything. IW2 M2 AT2 Subs2 ??? Italy has GR2. USSR IW2 ??????

Oct 5 1941 Med: Quiet but all the Allies hold is 'The Rock' Alantic: Sub raiding our convoys to USSR, RN in port for supplys and top secret data. West: UK bomber now in southern england and paying a visit to the French Mine. East: German army busy killing off our Partsians and no other significat advances. Minor movement up to Lenningrad but no other contact. USA 80% even though Denmark fell.. Iceland gets a bomber BTW

Augest 31 1941 East: Riga and Minsk fall after a few weeks of fighting. Our boys are digging in around Lenningrad and other vital areas. Partisans are having a strong effect in the central marsh areas. West: DOW on Denmark but with two channels to cross the German units cant get to the Capital. Naval units bomb the city but eh Dane's fight on. Alantic: CV units of the RN spot two wolf packs in the 'black hole' between USA and UK. After two weeks of hide and seak (3 freakin dives during one attack) both sub groups are sunk. However more subs have been seen raceing into the North Alantic so our job is not done yet. Med: Egypt is lost. A well planned out excape is conducted and with the bravry of our commonwelth units all UK air, land, and sea units excape to the South Alantic. Delaying mission done... its all we could do for the USSR. USA around 80%

Aug 3 1940 West: Quiet, the German Navy has gone to port it looks like and the RN now can lick its wounds. Alantic: More raiding by what looks like one wolf pack per the survivers of the sunk convoys. Med: Two German Armor, One Air and a HQ are beating the daylights out of X3 thier own units. (see below) East: The Bastards! Axis powers ignore our friendship and cross the wire in Russia. Well we will show them... our brave lab techs have been busy after all the scientits were kills last year. Note: Is thier a supply bug with Troburk? I have been bombing it to crap (1 str on axis turn) yet his HQ is at suplly 8 and 4 hex's away. Thus his armor a long ways from the fort, and 3-5 hexs from the HQ are still in 'good' supply of around 5. Is it the PORT that gives supply in SC 2? If Hubert want to check our game we both have a save at close to this point.

July 13 1940 East: Para, Air and Army units with HQs have been spotted moving up to the border. Our air boys call it quits and move deap into Russia.... the soldirs are told the new troops on the border are thier to subject the Pol's. Med: German Armor advace into Egypt with Itilain ships protecting thier flank. UK bombers pound Torbrok in the hope of cutting supply as corps after corps pours into the desart from our commonwealth holdings. West: German ships are spoted in the english channel. A trap is set and the Bismark falls into it... ambushed by the Hood and several other units she is stuck in a bad location...just south of London. Three German CNs try to break her free but before they can do much damage our CVs put the great ship to the bottom and sail off with a strong covering force. Sadly the Hood limps home at 1 str. Alantic: More Sub raiding, now of the US convoys... damn Yanks dont seam to care eather.

May 18 1940 East: Lots of Naval movement by the Huns in East Prussa but our scout planes have not seen any ground force's moving up to the border. Even so our slaves.. errr people have started digging and digging around Leningrad. West: Subs continue to raid Canadian convoys so our ships head north and surprise surprise they find a wolf pack off the coast of Spain.... all ships move in at flank speed and battle the advanced (L2) SOBs. After several dives however our CVs finish the job. Med: After losing the 7th Armor in a pitched battle with the DAK in central Libia our brave troops figure defence is a good idea.

Sept 1941 East: Russia has been busy after watching Axis power attack a loyal friend in Spain. Prepares for war and orders all troops to the front. West: USA around 70%, UK notes all Axis air power in Spain and starts to bomb the two mines in western eroupe. 'The Rock' is given up without a fight (more then likely with was a bad idea). Norway and Swedeen still refuse to send ore to Germany. Med: Quiet, all Axis or Neutral. Mostly Neutral. Except Malta... one Rocket continues to pound the fort gaining xp.

Nov 17 1940 East: Hungery and Romaina join Axis powers.. the fools! West: Mud in Eroupe Alantic: More sub raiding.. RN is too busy looking for the Bismark to worry about some pesky subs. Med: UK units move and engage the Itliain Army in the middle city. Bomber ruins more roadway. Malta corps is destroyed but island is still UKs.

Oct 20 1940 Alantic: Sub are raiding Canadian convoys hard... and the First Lord has heard that the Bismark is finished an put to sea. Orders go out to H force and SF force to seach and SINK the ship. East: USSR Air scouts german poland and notes troop movements of 3 corps and 1 army. West: UK feels tough with its BEF and XXX corps holding the beachs. Med: Malta is taking a pounding. UK continues to bomb the coastal road in Libia.

Sept 8 1940 East: USSR continues to gain back all the lost knowallge from Stalins purges masked as a lab fire... still a long ways to go. Alantic: No raiding for some time now... but we hunt for the damn subs anyway. West: All quiet (UK has meet her requirement of garison on the turn France fell. We will see how this effects the game) Med: Itlian Army holds the center city in Libia but it has no supply as the UK bomber destorys all the convys that reach the city. Several German Air fleets are seen moving into Sicily... Malta put on high alert

Augest 11 West: France Falls... no more reports as all flags are lowered and women cry openly in the streats.

July 28 1940 East: USSR take the baltic states, slowly making up tht tech they lost when the lab burned down Alantic: Subs raiding in two spots, one founds near the coast of Spain. Med: Trubrok falls and French fleet bravly sails up to the Heal of the Boot. They find Itilian ships in port with huge new guns (GR2). West: All hope is lost in France as only the Armor in Paris is left of thier brave troops.

June 30 40 East: Quiet Alantic: Some raiding going on, just not steady Med: Torburk is getting hit from every angle. How long can the wine drinking fools from Italy hold on UK wounders. And where is thier navy? Will it not come to thier aid? West: Units around Paris are dieing, one German army goes down in a counter attack and the Para takes some damage after droping behind the Mine. The Mag line is compleately lost but we recapture the Mine. Viva La France... Viva La France!

Lost connection again, Bio feels its due to writing AAR and playing at the same time. Its another hard one as I lose 4 tech and a big hit on Iraq giving me more MMPs. Looks like I'll be writing this one solo but in a depressed state.

May 5th East: Nothing Med: UK advances out of egypt and hits Torbrok with air and sea units. The oil and food burn while the Itialian troops dig and dig. West: Three French armys pound on a germany armor group but the UK Corps dies in protecting thier flank. Mine and one Mag Line hex taken. Hun units control all north of Paris.

April 7 40 East: Quiet Med: Quiet but Italy see's the advances of Germany and DOWs the Allies West: Navel battles around Brussles while subs raid the Egpyt convoys. France is now ready to counter attack however half of the country is in Huns hands.

Feb 25: East: Russia takes a few lakes from thier brothers in Finland, they have enough already West: More cold weather so the fighting is limited but the Huns are using thier huge numbers to some advantage by pushing in the holes in the french Line. One UK corps shows up to help France. Med: Quiet
