    Part of the Festung Budapest Attila Line defenses, east of Soroksár, Hungary. 2 November 1944...just over 10 km from Budapest city centre. It is late in the afternoon, the sun sets behind you on a cold and wet day. A light wind blows from the north.

    You are a young föhadnagy (1st lieutenant) in the 1./I Parachute Battalion. Your units are well trained and highly motivated. But there are just a few of you to balance against the low morale of the common Hungarian infantry. Your position has several heavy weapons in support as well as a small variety of defensive fortifications to position. An anti-tank ditch has been dug by forced labor. Dark Blue set-up zone is for you to adjust the deployment of all axis forces, foxholes and trenches.

    The Soviet tank and infantry force is probing forward to determine the level of resistance they will encounter as the siege of Budapest develops. 
    ^
    Your objective is to block any passage of the Soviet forces through to the west.
    ^
    You are ordered to hold out for 10~15 minutes. The enemy gains points by exiting forces off the west edge of the map via a small exit zone. When the Honvéd (Royal Hungarian Army) stops that exit, it takes points away from the Red Army. You have a parameter bonus if you can keep your own casualties below 25%.

    To get this, go to my signature dropbox link, then go to CMRT section and see the folder for CMRT Hungary Mod. In there are the 2 mods folders, 1 mod folder is just the soldier names changed to Hungarian and you can plop in z folder ONLY AS NEEDED, the other folder is modtagged and can probably be in z and not cause any issues. Emphasis on PROBABLY. 
    The scenario file is there for CMRT scenario folder. Restart CMRT and have a try as axis vs Soviet AI.

    Nice work. These really do look derelict. Are there any scattered brick flavor objects. I know we have the piles of brick and rubble but I can't recall a more scattered object, a few dozen bricks scattered across a tile?

    🤩 Wow! Yeah baby! Great looking buildings. Huuuggge improvement over v1.
    I can almost hear the noise that the JT would have made trundling around the streets. Can you imagine the mess it would have made just turning a corner on paved roads!
    Seeing your 251 reminds me that there's a lighting bug on the wheels of those I wanted to look at, just never got round to it. Won't affect your work though which looks awesome!

    Haven't studied it too closely but there's a map in the Panzerwrecks' Panzers in Berlin book, which I referred to for the model; I think it might actually show the known locations of some of the panzerturm. The famous pictures of the Pantherturm surrounded by shell casings at least suggest that one was probably quite effective for a time.

    Haha, took me five goes to just hit the like button, and that's after just a couple of bottles of ale and a wee dram 🥃

    Think that´s sort of a FO placement glitch or even a bug. Think it´s when the game engine randomnly tries placing FO and then finds the 1m node is occupied by something else already (a competitor). I then usually change FOV (looking elsewhere on the map), save game and quit CM entirely. Restart, reload save game and then floating FO should be settled at placement node or removed (the competing FO or other object won). BFC should definitely add an additional check for these cases so everything is at its proper place at game start. This issue is residing in the game for years already.

    Exactly. I´d guess germans placed the immobs and turrets where they´d long fields of fire and some infantry keeping russkies buttoned. Could be fairly well recreated on larger map then and adding TRP´s help for faster target acquisition. Interesting environment for scripting an attacking AIP.😎

    Yep, that´s what I´d in mind. Think I´d try 2x2 or 4x4m flavors for that and a flavor type beeing not an obstacle for any units movements. There´s a couple of them. Also smaller area FO´s allows adding more variety and won´t get all removed at once if some big HE hits the FO´s placement point/origin. More work to place these but SHIFT-ALT Click can place these comparatively quickly even on large fields.

    I've made a few new buildings, some completely destroyed and some slight damage, I like to have a good contrast on my maps. Anyway have a look and please let me know what you think? Cheers

    That´s how it looks like ATM. Functionality is as I wanted (more or less). Now on to some object mesh and textures changing. This is CMRT and the terrain mod in use you´ll likely recognize. 😎








    Yep, but looks were close enough. So no need to do some extra modding/texture changing. 😬

    This is a very sensible suggestion, though not sure how it could be administered. You're right though JM we will probably suffer chaotic scenes. Definitely useful having a list of what people have done.

    I've updated the files so that the folder containing the mod doesn't have the umlaut in its name anymore. If a player does as I suggest and copies that folder into their mod folder it shouldn't now cause this issue.
    Not bad odds all things considered. Probably better than a fully mobile IVG non-hull-down in the same showdown.

    Hehe, lots of fleeting ideas, not enough time or incentive to make them. 
    Yes, yes the important stuff. I really want to do something about the haystacks. I've had photos of haystacks in Normandy sitting on my desktop for two years ... maybe one day.

    Especially those who preordered in good faith ... 
    Of course the easy solution would be to release this as a simple pack that could be downloaded and dumped manually into our game folders (at least for those of us who have a modicum of tech ability). Why we need a giant patch when nothing is being patched ... unless there is something else in the battle pack? I'm lucky enough to have both PC and Mac so I'll be copying the battle pack from my PC to my Mac if I have to wait more than a few days. Or is there a sudden divergence between the PC and Mac versions (other than the tournament system which I have zero interest in anyway.
    Also would be interested to know why it still says on the purchase page that no download is necessary for this pack - where's it coming from then? Is it already embedded in the game, how's that work, GeorgeMC discovered time travel, went back to last April and injected his work into the Fire & Bubble release ... not.
    This all smacks of utter tosh.

    The campaigns are not playable as the Soviets due to the makeup and strength of the German units at the time. That and creating AI plans for multiple sides. 

    All of the scenarios are playable as Soviets vs Germans. Several are specifically designed to be playable that way.
