  1. A frequent Matrix and BF poster was banned today over at Matrix for 2 weeks because he decided to insult people in his posts...as he was told, "enjoy your two week vacation"...while I will admit that there are times JJR annoyed me, that is immaterial to this issue...if he has never been banned before, then perhaps a two week "vacation" should also be applied here...if, however, he has been warned and temporarily banned previously, then this move would be more understandable...
  2. GIL, and others.....Have a good read of the subject here: http://www.battlefront.com/cgi-bin/bbs/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=34;t=000050 I hope this helps.. Perhaps the original thread should be a sticky!
  3. I think that chedder cheese is much better in a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich than just plain old yellow cheese....Just thought I would contribute to the official braindead thread...
  4. "you gay?" It must be frustrating when you need to cull through the BF forum members for a Friday night date, huh Kuni?
  5. I think Victor's game would be great for some far out scenarios....I would enjoy seeing a strategic game depicting the War in Middle Earth, along the lines of the old SPI board game...
  6. "And Saint Desert Dave raised the SC2 Editor up on high, saying, 'O Hubert, bless this Thy SC2 Editor that, with it, Thou mayest blow Thine competitors to tiny bits in Thy mercy"...... "And Hubert spake, saying, 'First shalt thou take out the Holy Cursor. Then, shalt thou count to three. No more. No less. Three shalt be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, nor either count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then, demonstrate thou thy Holy Editor of Antioch towards thy competitors, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it." Sorry DD, I could not resist!....
  7. I cannot help but bring up some SC1 history here....when the game was first released, there was no need to keep the cd in the drive...then one of the patches also provoked the need to use the cd to run the game...some customers lamented this new development, and in the spirit of generous kindness, Hubert's next patch once again precluded the need for the cd....I hope this will still apply with SC2..it's not a game buying breaker by any means but it does make playing the game on a laptop much better when you don't need to carry the cd about...
  8. I knew when I asked the question someone would bring up the "Holy Editor from Antioch"...
  9. I am a fan of the Digital Download Age abd it is too bad that this is not an option here at BF... I would never want it to replace the ability of purchasing the CD, but as an option, it's great...
  10. In SC2 when you use regular replacements the units total experience drops but elite replacements allow experience to remain the same, similiar to Panzer General...I tend to think that in SC1, since unit rebuilds always resulted in a drop in experience, there was a fine balancing act performed between the rate of experience increases verses the inevitable decrease when replacements were introduced...if "elite" replacements do not adversely affect a units experience, then there could be an abundance of highly trained units on the map rather quickly in the game....
  11. Once again, another "brain fart" momemt from Mr. K!
  12. Thank goodness...I would not want to create an "uberarmor" corp and then forget how to stop the insanity!....
  13. If one tinkers with the settings, will there be a default button available so that we can automatically return to HC's original values?
  14. I have a vision of a bug eyed Ren yelling this at Stimpy, while poking him in the eye and spittle frothing from his mouth! [ October 27, 2004, 05:42 PM: Message edited by: J P Wagner ]
  15. I did not realize that members of the SC Forum have set up a caste system.....
  16. I became a beta tester for another game, and you know how?....by simply showing an interest in the game on the forum and by making comments and observations....it was a complete surprise when I was invited to be a tester...I think most decisions concerning testers are done this way, so there is no need to pimp your vaunted accomplishments in order to eventually become one.....
  17. Lately, there are more locks around here than at a Dominatrix supply house!
  18. This topic makes me think of members who were aboard when the demo was first released, were very active, then vanished into the ether...for example, whatever happened to Aloid?...Kuni, maybe you should have an MIA Award....
  19. Edwin P.....he has devoted many hours giving insightful thoughts on how SC may evolve into an even better game.....
  20. Hmmmm...that reminds me....dinner time!
