I havent seen them attacking anyone else except ukrainian children, old women and helpless civilians. Oh and I forgot them torturing and raping, and looting washing machines. Silly me. If the second army grows a spine and would decide to go against NATO, then we are at war. Not sooner not later. It is a really easy concept, isn´t it?

We are at war once NATO troops start killing Orcs or Article 5 get declared. Not earlier, not later. Doesn´t matter what the Kremlin numbnuts think or say. Until then we help the Ukraine to cleanse their soil from this vermin. Whatever it takes.

The big fallacy in these discussions is the assumption that German behavior on the issue of weapons shipments for Ukraine is somehow strange or unusual.
It's not. Reluctance and restraint in military matters has been the single constant in German foreign policy for both CDU and SPS-led governments essentially since our current version of the country existed.

As far as I can tell from reading several thousand year's literature, human _nature_ has remained the same.
But when you say 'tech evolves', there are two kinds of technology- physical and social.
Both evolve.  In the Oddessey, Odysseus returns home and slays the suitors.  Today, we hire a lawyer.  That's social technology; just like we no longer have honour duels because we can sue for defamation.
So human nature intersects with social technology - to the extend that the social technology works, we no longer need be savage.

Zelensky amazes me.  Here's a guy that only 4 years ago was an actor, comedian and businessman with a law degree and no foreign policy, governmental or military experience.  But yet, he's leading one of the most complex, challenging globally high profile and difficult situations of this century.  And he seems to be making all the right moves time and again.  The way he handles himself, his words and quiet but confident demeanor continue to be on point.  Yes, I'm sure he's getting expertise, coaching and direction from multiple sources---but he's choosing to listen and take advise from seemingly all the right people which is an art unto itself. 
And to think what his life is like on a daily basis, to have to be "on" month after month.  The guy flat out has my respect and I hope to someday read his memoirs on from late 2021 until this ends.

Thank you, all other, who just have been reading and support our country - first two months were some nervous and psychologically hard, so this my 24/7 "marathone" here was giving me some emotional relief. 
 

In Canada, on this our Remembrance Day - besides remembering the sacrifice of Canadians in various conflicts and peacekeeping missions, I am also very aware of the huge loss of life in service of the Ukrainian soldiers who fought for their homeland and their people.  I am reminded all the time.  In Manitoba, our province has a immense Ukrainian Canadian  population and I can't go anywhere without seeing Ukrainian flags everywhere.  And a lot of Ukrainian Canadians returned to Ukraine to fight for their ancestral homeland.   Some will return home to Canada some day, others will not. The sad reality of war.
So on this Remembrance Day, I raise my stein as in past Remembrance Days and intone that simple ancient Norse toast - "To Our Honored Dead!"    I include all Ukrainian soldiers who have lost their lives thus far in that toast.   They have truly earned entry into the Halls of Valhalla.

This is one of those things we won't REALLY know for years. She was a bad person and an enemy of Ukraine, but not worth burning a very valuable match eliminate.  Unless Ukraine has ten plus agents deep enough into the right parts of Moscow to kill semi significant figures in the Russian government/establishment. I am going to speculate a little here.... I think the U.S. has gotten wind of some OTHER operation inside Russia to eliminate someone who actually DOES matter, and they are trying to warn the Ukrainians off from carrying out the operation. It is the only reason I can see to talk about this publicly, now.
