Hi people. I finally put my CMBB pages up. You can find them under http://www.panzerwalze.de or http://www.cmb2b.de Unfortunately I didn'T find much time to put more content on the websites, but this will change sooen. As yet you can find some CMBB screenshots in the "cool shots"-section. I have some problems to get the colors displayed right, but I'm working on it. More pics will be added over the weekend and a scenario depicting a Russian attack vs a Luftwaffe field division in the early summer of 1943. put any comments or picture requests here or mail to: oli@cmb2b.de cheers, oli (lindan)

Ok, I put some pictures up on my site. It's a bit of a rush job. I just installed the software ,fired up a quick battle in muddy weather and took some screenshots. The colors are a bit off and I'm sure that there are better screenshots out there, but well... it'S very late over here now and I got delayed, so please bare wih me. more (and better) pics to follow this weekend. http://www.cmb2b.de or http://www.panzerwalze.de click "enter" then "cool shots"

What if the pocket had collapsed…
Lindan replied to Kingfish's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
the question is: what would have happened if the 6th army had broken out. according to my sources this was possible till early-mid december. it could have proven disastrous for the southern wing though. but probably anything would have been better than this desaster. a real tragedy. I read a lot about this topic, with many first-hand accounts. the suffering, hope, resistance and will to live is overpowering. reading this while you know that they all will die in the end is heart-breaking. Not to forget the soviet paradrop where they dropped the men WITHOUT parachutes. (no joke) -
faust and schreck were later developments. the later in the war, the more you will see them.

Yes I know. I think I'll leave this crusade to him. I don't think you can reason with "Herr Oberst" and Co. anyways.

CMBB demo does not work with FSAA
Lindan replied to japinard's topic in Combat Mission - Tech Support
I think that Schrulli said somewhere that the easiest workaround is to install some older drivers. I have 29.xx and they work fine. -
talking about CDV, I browsed through their forum yesterday (been there for the first time). People believe me: THANK GOD that you found your forum here. Oh what a collection of dimwits to be found there. Andreas, how you can post there without going insane is beyond me...

There are 2 versions, one with 54cm and the other 60cm.

I feel so cheated. Fix or do somefink!

Marcus, I worry a bit about your drinking habit lately... I hope you keep the empty bottles for the next assault! -
Yesterday I had some jeeps and T34's immobilized in steppe too. And in wheatfields. Perhaps it had something to do with Menschs Bofors Pak drilling holes through their hulls...
-
Perhaps it would be helpful if you posted your technical specs.

IIRC correctly someone did a test a while ago. A company KV'S in heavy woods vs some Tank Hunters. Not a single KV survived. It depends very much on the terrain, as they need to come in very close. The terrain in the demo doesn't really favour them. Eden Smallwood: "follow" appears only < 50meters

A ramble....might be worth reading!

Hortlund, it was nice to see you (not). We had several of your kind here, and they didn't stay for long. You disqualified yourself pretty much with your first set of posts. Now go away.
