  1. I have just been playing a little with the demo and am surprized that my soviet tanks can run the battlefront at will. What happened to the panzerfaust & it's little brother? This really changes the tables for the germans, as I hate those panzerfausts. Was this left out of the demo only? Or maybe the germans didn't have them on this front? Thanks
  2. Doug, better get the mustard out. I agree that moving tanks are way to accurate. One in the bush should get 4 or 5 shots off before it is spotted by a moving tank.
  3. Standard USA military doctrine: When in as strange land with strange customs, kill everyone.
  4. I would like to play in the next tournement. I could help with some number crunching or admin stuff. email:endit99@yahoo.com
  5. found it at the cm hq, i must have skipped quite a few updates. hehe, please remove this post.
  6. Where are the patches. I got 1.05, but still can't load a pbem?????????
  7. I always look to edge hugging, espesially if the center has a couple of tigers in waiting. Why not take advantage of not having someone firing at you from on direction?
  8. I was reading the 4-24-2000-3:54pm post about the new movement. At the beginning I thought it was good, by the end of the tread I was confused again and not so enthusiastic. The thing I don't like (really the only thing) is when moving 15 tanks, 3 platoons, 10 trucks down a road to the front line, such as when reinforcements come. Now I have to pick every one and take it down the road. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to define say one to three routes that you can attach all the troops to and have them automatically follow to the back staging area of the front line activity???? From the thread, it appears as CM2 is going to be just like CM1. If you use the group thing, the troops on the left will go left of the bridge, and the troops on the right will go right of the bridge, while real troops would move to the bridge & cross it not through the ditches on each side (this is a movement order, in an area already cleared out of enemy). Thanks, looking forward to the CM2
  9. DUH, wooow, so easy, I wish all my many problems could be so simple, i thought I would have to do a full reinstall or something strange. Thanks for you help, back to kicking germans.
  10. In CM, all my tanks, troops, etc have boxes underneath them, usually some bright or weird color. Is this usual? I thought at one time these weren't there. Does anyone now which .bmp or whatever can fix this so the tank looks like it is sitting on the ground in lieu of some box? Thanks
  11. I believe that CM takes rarity into account, I was under the impression that one couldn't by 4 king tigers, even though he had the points. Only so many to go around. I'm not an expert on the game, but I thought I read that somewhere.
  12. Well, a tiger picking off shermans is pretty standard, ain't no way that is exciting. Getting a sherman all the way around to the rear of a Tiger without running into his panther or Stug buddies is an accomplishment. Plus I like to see the those tigers being blown to ****. I rest my case.
  13. I am no fountain of knowledge, but from my gaming experience the T34 was one fast tank. Maybe not in real life, does someone have the specs???? Also, it's cold weather operation may be a factor in the northern parts of the world that could drive the cost up.
  14. What a game. There is nothing like the feeling of pulling up a sherman for a full rear shot at about 100 yds into the back side of one of those 88's. Enough said.
