Update on Panzerwalze /CMB2B.DE
Lindan replied to Lindan's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Finally, the scenario "South of Heaven" ->v. 1.02 is uploaded. It took a long time to implement the last minute changes but I think it was worth it! A Russian attack on a medium map. Got good feedbacks on this battle, so please give it a try. Best played as Russians vs. AI or H2H. It would be really cool if you gave some feedback, as this is the first battle I created. Please mail to: oli@cmb2b.de. Thanks again to all the testers for their constructive feedback! -
Jagdpanther, the ultimate weapon?
Lindan replied to bardosy's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Ugly as hell? Ugly? You're joking, right? This is the most "sexy" AFV produced in WWII bar none. Pure grog-porn!!! to the original topic: flank them with something fast and you can knock them out quite easily. -
Hehe, good one! Bruno: I know it's turrent you looser!

Harv: I fantasized about getting your turn already. I'll check if this is true. As I'm a so-called "beta-tester" (so-called because I never actually "tested" anything, but only "played" and sticked a hamster up my @$$) I'm actually unworthy to play anyone, not even the AI(this more or less only leaves Mace who hasn't send me a setup yet). I'll delete your file immediately as soon as I get home and ram my head through my cars front-turret instead .

Battlefront do something! (T34,IS2, KT)
Lindan replied to Cpt.Kloss's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
My short version: Somebody is pissed because something doesn't work as he thought it would. He makes a statement about the observed flaw. Without knowing the reason or the mechanics behind the flaw he blames a group of people for not doing their job properly. I have no intention to state again what several other posters already pointed out about the turret issue. I hate people who are unable to discuss a topic without throwing insults around. The bolded part at the end is a reminder for Mr. Hortlund to actually read the threads he replies to, as several people already adressed the raised issue. -

So where do you best deploy an Ostwind and which direction is covered by your "cover arc" command?

My grandfather was in a luftwaffe support unit as a truck driver. one day some officers came up and searched replacements for the combat units. he could choose between "field division" and "fallschirmjaeger".he choose the fj's but put a big cross in the "no"-field under the question: "Available for jumps?" this was in 44. he had some training so he probably would be "green". he often said: "then us and the "real" fj's went there and there.."

"Hill312" for getting your feet wet (play as Germans) try till you win big-time and feel really cool and superior. Then take your Germans over to "Cemetary Hill"... -
Normally you should have no problems finding pbem opponents. As you have seem, most of the nutcases in this forum play this game nearly everyday (like me) Have fun!

Reload time for an experienced crew was ~12minutes. It was loaded from the front using a crane. (yes, that would be 12 turns to reload)

The scrollbar issue is fixed. I just got some VERY useful hints for scenario balance so I removed the download link to incorporate some last minute changes. I'll put up version 1.5 very soon and post here when it's ready.
-
Hmm... it's next to "download", at the bottom of the page. thinking about it, it may disappear in lower resolutions because I still didn't put the scrollbars back in.. *bangs head against wall* I'll fix this tonight. sorry for the inconvenience.

..on Panzerwalze.de | CMB2B.de -> Scenario Section South of Heaven Russian attack in 1943 vs a Luftwaffe Field Division. It's medium sized and playable H2H or as Russians vs. AI (choose "stick to scenario default" for AI setup) enjoy, Feedback is welcome -> oli@cmb2b.de Thanks again to Andreas, Wyatt and Jeff for testing and useful hints. cheers!

The delays depend on the "level" of the assigned artillery. Getting Corps level stuff takes a while longer then battalion level.
-
Unfair. All scenarios were tested for balance. Some are intended to be played vs the AI, and this is indicated in the scenario briefing. e.g. If you play "Eberswalde Last Stand" vs a human opponent you'll get trashed, but vs the AI it was a very tense experience.
