Hi Ah the subtle approach eh ? -
Hi all No real surprise this I must say (oh I just did ) and I would take 18th release date with large pinch of salt
-
Hi I will make two But it sure is getting quiet around these parts
-
Hi Simon You may well be correct however after seeing Steve posting in the CDV Direct Action thread the following Oh please... can we PLEASE not start spreading disinformation about the release dates *again*? It is NOT going to be released in November, December, January, or what have you. It *will* be released in October. It could be as early as the 4th or as late as the 11th. It depends on when they get their manufactured goods in order and out to the distributors. I suspect he will be really chuffed to see this one [ September 30, 2002, 07:45 PM: Message edited by: Gary Barr ]

Sgt Steiner replied to Rob Murray's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hi I emailed Gordon the Log file and he replied that the Faces Mod is not complete (some Cmmos instructions missing or incorrect) No doubt it will be fixed at some point by author Phillipe. Cheers -

Hi all My guess it was done by Lt George for King and Country ? For Blackadder Goes Forth fans 'George and Blackadder stand at attention. Melchett and Darling are inspecting the map (drawn by George). Apparently the entire German army is massed opposite Blackadders trench' Darling : Are you sure this is what you saw, Blackadder ? Blackadder : Absolutely. I mean there may have been a few more armaments factories and not quite so many elephants, but............. Melchett : Mmm. You know what this means ? Darling : If its true- we'll have to cancel the push. Melchett : Exactly....... George : Oh damn. Blackadder : What a nuiscance Melchett : Exactly.......what the enemy would expect us to do, and therefore exactly what we won't do. Blackadder : Ah now......... Melchett : if we attack them where their line is strongest, Fritz will think our reconnaisance is a total shambles. This will lull him into a false sense of security, and then next week we can attack where the line is actually badly defended and win the greatest victory since the Winchester flower-arranging team beat Harrow by 12 sore bottoms to one. Blackadder : Tell me have you ever visited the planet Earth sir ? Melchett : So best fighting trousers on Blackadder George : Permission to yell 'Bravo' at an annoyingly loud volume sir. Melchett : Permission granted George : BRAVO !!! Melchett : Thats the spirit Lieutenant, Just your kind of caper eh Blackadder ? Blackadder : Yes Darling : Good luck against those elephants...... -

Sgt Steiner replied to Yeknodathon's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hi all Yes didnt we all ! I have now gone with guts (bit messy....boom boom.....but worth it) The list of places in receipt of Cmbb before us/me is ever increasing as far flung as United Arab Emirates Hong Kong and now Scunthorpe ! As a little touch of irony/surrealism here is a line from my BTS Order Confirmation Email (hope BTS dont mind my reproducing here ?) And I quote : For European customers you order is being shipped from Ireland. CMBB is on MY island in its full version !!! However rather than drive a couple of hours to get it I have obtain one from several thousand miles away ! truly amazing or what ? Some things are sent to try us or in CDV parlance some things are not sent to really try us -

Hi Hertston No issue with gamershall.de (these blokes obviously just want to play the game) but it was an offical CDV newsletter sent direct to yours truly in the UK which included this info ! Oh and still waiting for their reply Cheers Soon (hopefully) to be a US Cmbb owner -

Windows version temporarily backordered
Sgt Steiner replied to Crimguy's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hi all Just my luck ! I decide to go with ordering indirectly from BTS and find its 4th Oct at earliest. Anyone taking bets that Cdv (now that they hear of my plight) get the 'finger out' and publish the UK version overnight leaving me the last soul on earth to get the game The waiting begins in earnest now.......... -
