Hi all Here is another little screenie from an ongoing CM Pbem. My Piat team had managed to get into surely the perfect firing posistion.......but......three Piat bombs later the Tiger turned and killed one of the team. Their being Green I guess didnt help their aim mind you at 14m they could have thrown the damn bomb !! Before anyone asks the Panzer Cmdr is ot a chain smoker that plume is from a earlier victim of this brute Cheers

Hi all I DL the latest Cmmos Mods from CMHQ and note that in the FlakPanzer sets there are graphics for Tri-Colour (_t extension) versions Summer & Winter but in Cmmos itself I seem unable to generate the tri-colour option (allows mono and hasty but no tri) Is there an amendment to the Ruleset associated with these I need to DL and if so where ? or am I just daft and missing something obvious ? Cheers not as quick as I thought

Hi Lindan et al But it's really not cool that all post are attributed to another person Seems my old 'Sgt Steiner' stuff has gone to a chap called 'Claus B' who has managed to keep my lower number etc (who knows where his own stuff went ?) very weird data mix up  Cheers

Tommy Cookers In Action ! (Largish Pic)
Sgt Steiner replied to Sgt Steiner's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hi Michael The Sherm with the tree growing out of it is pretty wild. How'd you get it to do that? A vain attempt at battlefield concealment ? Actually the tree is of course behind the hapless Sherman but I took this pic from view 3 with a zoom-in so angles are somewhat deceiving Cheers -

Hi Lawyer Are you the same guy? Tis not I sir, first off I am a 'chap' or 'bloke' not a 'guy' Although any 'guy' with such a name on his credentials cannot have been all bad ? Why not got back to Sgt. Steiner and forego this Gary Barr thing? Well thats down to a rather frantic bit of typing on my part to restore myself to this most ilustrious forum after being 'deleted' (are BTS trying to tell me something I wonder !?) I dont know how to change the 'displayed name' part of registration. No intention to offend. None taken even though you are a 'Lawyer' Cheers [ February 25, 2002, 05:22 AM: Message edited by: Gary Barr ] -
Hi all In feeble attempt to escape my newly 'enforced' junior status (and to test my ability to post an image) herewith a mindless thread showing 3 of my Canadian Shermans brewing up in a current Pbem with Steve Wykmans (aka Von Niemack). 2 brewed by Tigers to their front and the 3rd (ie one that has gone thermo-nuclear) by unknown ATG through rear (ooh er missus) Ooh the horror.........the horror........ Cheers

Hi all A source for viewing European style wooded areas is the following couple movies which I am sure we have all seen A Bridge Too Far which was filmed mostly in Holland/Belgium scenes that are appropriate the 30th Corps breakout (ie Huns in treeline) and James Caans Jeep ride. Bridge At Remagen, filmed in Czechslovakia as similar to Rhineland areas. Battle Of Bulge filmed in N.Spain. Saving Private Ryan filmed in England and Ireland which both have similar Woodland look to NW France. Kellys Heroes filmed in old Yugoslavia with vegetation similar to that in parts of Germany Cross Of Iron filmed in Romania and good approx of European Russia. Dirty Dozen filmed in England again with good approx of NW France Doubtless there are other movies with relevant content. Great mod anyhow Cheers

Hi Iron Chef CMMOS is Combat Mission Mod Option Selector a very good programme which is available (along with an absolute ton of Mods) at CMHQ check out the readme file first for overview of what the prog is all about and how to use. I highly reccomend it Cheers -
Hi all I dont know about the rest of you lot but I am fair blown away by the superb collection of Mods now useable in CMMOS (feel sorry for you Mac users) CM is a superb product in its published form but the excellent Mod community that it has 'spawned' has added immensely to my enjoyment in no small measure (kudos to BTS for encouraging same). I dont think I have a single .Bmp file that is not modded (as my bulging .Bmp folder attests) CMMOS has become a great tool for easy swapping of Mods and the latest Field & Tracks stuff is great. Gordons touch of coding an option to save/retain my original mods is very welcome and the stuff of genius Maybe I am getting tad maudling in my old age but I do wish to pass on my thanks and appreciation to BTS and all those Modders who have given so much to so many and who have drained countless hours of my time with downloads, selections etc Cheers to one and all

Hi all Sniff...... Those were the days my friends....... Never to be repeated I fear...... Cheers -
Hi all Personally I use a mix of several Grass mods (mainly Maguas, DDs, Gunnergoz) which gives my terrain a sort of 'patchwork-quilt' type effect with varying 'textures' to open areas and reasonable way to show elevations without use of gridlines. As for everything else I use a whole hodge-podge from numerous authors and damned if I can remember which mod is which now ! Cheers Gary
