German Uniforms Screenshots?
Sgt Steiner replied to Gian's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Hi Check out the excellent CM Outpost http://cmoutpost.net/ Look under CMBB Mod Catalogue and there is a page with German uniforms which includes screenshots of the 'out of the box' graphics. Note there were no Winter uniforms (or vehicles) in initial release but lots released via the always dependable modders. PS I have the US release of Cmbb so dont know if CDV version included any Winter textures ? Later [ February 20, 2003, 09:54 AM: Message edited by: Gary Barr ] -

v . 1.01 "bugs & things not fixed"
Sgt Steiner replied to SuperHero's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hi Kwazydog et al Sd234/4 would rate high on my list, something cool about it maybe its just an attachment to my old Airfix model (which ironically had incorrect hull which was never 'fixed' ) IS2 late also simply due to numbers used but highest in my list is the Sd251/17 (ie one with 20mm) as they are relatively numerous and I keep forgetting which Sd251 has or has not got this weapon during game with other Sd251s about. I know that the info window clearly states it but I need the graphical 'hint' Just do whatever further texture 'unsharing' you can. Cheers -
How to revert back to version 1.00?
Sgt Steiner replied to Titan's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hi If it is the US version you have the Cmbb file on the disc is in WinRar format and so you need a utility which can unpack WinRar files (such as that found at Winrar site ) Make sure to unpack to a temporary folder as it will unpack everything such as Bmp folder, Wav folder etc in addition to the Cmbb .exe. I done this to restore some wavs I had overwritten so it does work. I cant recall exactly where I got Winrar utility I think it was Winrar.com (a search should yield it). If you have the CDV version than I have no idea what way they have setup their disc Cheers -

Sgt Steiner replied to Sitzkrieg's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hi Gordon Worked fine for me this way too with all the Zip files now resident in Mod folder within Cmmos. Maybe players are Unzipping the files into this Mod folder ? Much kudos once more on an excellent prog and some super mods. Mind you you your preview shows a Winter BT7 with rust I dont see it in DL section as yet ? Salutations -
QRS or Quick Reference Sheet
Sgt Steiner replied to Backslash's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hi Backslash I have a .txt file made up for the Hotkeys within CMBB which I keep near at hand when playing (although its easy enough to bring up Hotkey list on screen). Its a bit rough and ready but you are welcome to a copy if you like. Email me at sgtsteiner@sgteiner.worldonline.co.uk Cheers -

Hi Rex Yes your 'fix' works with my V4500 tad annoying but at least I can play the game thanks for tip. I agree ref Voodoo cards they are definately past sell by dates, sad as I really like my 4500..... In local PC World there is literally a dozen different graphic cards on sale I will have to some research before asking Santa to bring one Cheers -
Hi Holdit (not sure if that applies in this case ) I asked about the Patching issue on Cmbb forum some weeks back and was advised by BFC blokes that any patches released would work for all versions of the game. Having said that I found it hard to trust CDV no matter what they told BFC and have obtained the US version via US mate. Bit more expensive method but I think in long run more satisfying Cheers

Hi Rex Thanks for info I will give it a try. Cheers -
Salutations (and minor insults to applicable personages) Proper (ie US) version of Cmbb now in my little paws thanks to kindly soul Bruno Weiss Whilst tad more expensive (ie typing with last arm whilst balancing on remaining leg ) than that 'other' version the manual is for me worth it alone.......... Great game chaps (I know I know you all told me it was ) Only agony left is an annoying glitch with Menu/Selection screens (please feel free to check my plea for help on tech forum) Cheers
-
Hi After many trials and not a few tribulations US Cmbb has arrived with me here in Belfast (kudos to Bruno Weiss) But (as always ?) I have a rather niggling problem with game as follows (tried search but no idea what topic title would be ?) When game loads I hear Music playing but get only a black screen (I think there should be a BFC logo ?) this continues for ages or until I hit Spacebar. After (or maybe as consequence of ?) this I am finding that using the Menu and Selection screens is extremely slow (up to 30 secs per mouse click !!) making Scn selection rather frustrating and QB selection process a major effort ! I sometimes have to use 'Alt Tab' to move to next screen and the game seems to 'hang' interminably whilst maximising back ? Once I get to the '3d Graphics' loading screen all seems fine and the Scns themselves are playing sweetly. I cant fathom what would be cause of this weirdness any suggestions ? My system is rather aged but works fine in all other respects : AMD K6 (P3 600) processor 32mb Voodoo 4500 Win ME All drivers are latest for all devices Cheers
