New Panther A mod posted ...
Sgt Steiner replied to Lucky_Strike's topic in Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord
Hi Lucky Strike et al Your Panther mods are just about the best I have seen (and they are up against some fine 'opposistion') I do hope you could stretch to doing a Tiger and maybe branching into CMBB realm ? Really fine work Cheers -
Dawn skies Bmp numbers ?
Sgt Steiner replied to Sgt Steiner's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Hi VJ I wish it were so.......... Nope but going to try using some of the skies from CMBO mods instead. I know they arent configured properly as such but I did manage to get Kumps Normandy clear sky to work and I think it looks ok so was going to try one of the Dawn mods as I am not a fan of the current Cmbb type. Cheers -
Hi all Quick query anyone know offhand what the Bmp nos are for the Dawn skies set in Cmbb ? Cheers in advance

CMAK Tank Battles in Miniature source books
Sgt Steiner replied to The Graeme's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
I have (or sadly in the case of No 4 had) these excellent little books. Don Featherstone authored No 1 (Desert) & No 4 (Med) nos 3 & 4 were by Bruce Quarrie (edit : just noticed this info in 1st post !!). Cant recall who done the Arab-Israeli version. No 2 the East Front version is weakest I feel as too little for such a large subject. Did anyone with 3 ever actually use Mike Spiks Air-to-Ground rules !! Ahh nostalgia............ Seelow heights pack news ?
Sgt Steiner replied to von Paulus's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Hi Von Paulus et al I too am looking forward to this scn pack but also lost track of its progress I do hope its still in the pipeline ? Cheers -
Hi Adam Piquet Point Of Attack II has rules for several levels of representation including Squad Level and whilst individual casualties are not considered Squad Stands/elements can take more than one hit. Note that hits (as in many rulesets) are not nessecarily actual WIA or KIA but are also used to reduce firepower, morale choesion and suchlike. Crossfire uses 1 stand = 1 squad but if a kill is achevied a whole stand (squad) is removed. Acheving a kill is not always that easy though. Mein Panzer is another set with Squads which take multiple hits to kill (depending on type/morale level etc) I only have the original set so dont know what latest revisions are ? Flames Of War the new set from makers of 15mm Battlefront miniatures also has squads but not sure how hits/kills are achieved. Battlefront WWII (from makers of Fire And Fury) is another with Squad level but again I cant recall hit/casualty method (memory is going !!) Hope this is of help

The other UK tournament - NOWT special !
Sgt Steiner replied to Lou2000's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Hi At present my Ivans have upper hand (at least I believe so ?) having seemingly dealt with Hun armour. However Hun Inf onslaught ensuing so game still not decided by any means............. Just got a turn from Apache (we are now on T30 of 30+) so hopefully we will complete our game soon. You all realise its a cunning plan by us both to wear future opponents down Cheers [ May 17, 2003, 06:53 PM: Message edited by: Gary Barr ] -
The other UK tournament - NOWT special !
Sgt Steiner replied to Lou2000's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
Hi Lou My match vs Apache is at standstill at present as I have not had a reply from Apache since start of May (have sent him couple of emails in interim with no reply) I can only assume he is off his reservation on holiday or similar (I seem to recall him mentioning something). If you need to progress our game to continue tourney feel free to give Apache a Victory (I assume he would be agreeable to this). Cheers -
