  1. Welcome aboard temporaryhero and not that I know of but I agree it would be a great mod for anyone to put together
  2. Thanks and for Vichy it is more or less needed for when Vichy France is created as otherwise you are correct that Lyon would be more appropriate.
  3. Thanks gentlemen, based on the feedback I've made a few adjustments and it looks like the Swiss/Italian border was actually the problem as it came too far west giving the impression that the Vichy location should be Lyon. After adjusting that and moving Paris one tile West it looks a lot better. See images below where I've used a Google satellite image stretched to the same setup of the AoD Global map:
  4. Next up in the AAR series is 1942 Case Blue, a campaign that covers the German summer offensive to capture the Soviet southern oil fields as well as their drive to capture Stalingrad. Ghost Of War will play as the Axis and Ivanov will man the Soviet defenses and counter attacks as the Soviets player. This campaign was a Beta testing favourite for these two so expect some fierce fighting as well as the usual competitive AAR banter __________________ http://www.furysoftware.com http://www.facebook.com/furysoftware Last edited by Hubert Cater : 03-19-2013 at 11:51 AM. 5. Hi Christain, This is a fantastic list of suggestions and we'll be looking to make some of these changes but there are of course still some limitations that won't be lifted until a new engine such as SC3 makes more of this possible. Hubert
  6. Hi Pocus, Great to hear and below is a screenshot of the Global map in Western Europe and hopefully this gives you a pretty good idea of what you might be looking at in terms of scale: For PBEM games it is still only 2 players, i.e. Axis and Allies, and happy gaming Hubert
  7. Hi Amadeus, There have been some updates to the licensing software and the tests have so far shown an improvement with the tech issues so hopefully this will translate into an improvement for the players as well. Hubert
  8. Hi K Man, You'll just need the original Global. Hubert
  9. Good to hear and it is all a part of the road map to SC3 so hang tight
  10. I received the email and I'll try and take a look as soon as I can... is this for Global or Gold? Also, can you let me know which version number?
  11. Welcome aboard jackrogers and if you have any questions just let us know and we'll be more than happy to help you out.
  12. Yes the new Editor will of course be included and the existing standard or modded scenarios will unfortunately not work but some elements may be importable such as the maps and other data so it will not be a complete loss if you want to upgrade your campaigns to the latest engine. I'm working on a GOLD patch as well and if there are any specific items you want to remind me of now is a good time
  13. Sounds great Kuniworth and it will be interesting to see it and to compare
  14. The airship is not likely to be used in the AoC release but since the engine modifications are the same for both AoC and AoD it can be used in the AoD release as an optional anti-submarine/reconnaissance type unit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K-class_blimp But it could certainly be used as a custom aircraft if desired as it does have long range aircraft as well as anti-submarine research types applied to it. For shell production this will be used to increase the number of shells for Artillery, Rocket Artillery, Coastal Guns and Rail Guns. Looks like Al and I replied at the same time
  15. Glad to hear you like what you've seen so far and to clarify the new unit types, these do not use any existing slots but are indeed brand new units for the release. [] Here is the full unit type list: HQ Garrison Division Corps Army Mechanized Special Forces Engineers Paratroops Cavalry Anti-Tank Anti-Air Rocket Artillery Artillery Rail Gun Coastal Gun Armored Train Rockets Light Tank Tank Airship Fighter Tactical Bomber Medium Bomber Strategic Bomber Battleship Cruiser Destroyer Light Carrier Carrier Sub Partisan Transport Amphibious Transport Correct, anything you modded in previous releases will be similarly moddable in this release as well... and possibly more if you haven't used the Breakthrough engine as we've added a few new script options from there as well as a few newer AoD/AoC ones that help the AI too. Hubert
  16. Thanks Jodl and we are very glad to hear that you are looking forward to these packages as much as we are Just one quick correction here that the primary campaign designer for these packages is Al Sousa, or Big Al, who has previously worked on campaign releases such as GOLD and the Brute Force campaigns. I need to mention that as the work is fantastic for these packages and a recognition of that for him is well deserved and I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised just how much fun these campaigns will be to play For the new features, yes everything that is in Breakthrough will be in AoC and AoD but that being said off the top of my head I don't believe we've set any campaigns to use the Armistice feature even though it certainly is possible. On top of having everything Breakthrough has the new AoD/AoC packages will also have the 10 new unit types and these play a significant role in enhancing the campaigns and especially so for the AoC package that includes the East Front campaigns. For example, having units such as Divisions, Mechanized, Light Tanks and Medium Bombers helped us to model the campaign much more accurately and then having dedicated units such regular Artillery and now the new Rocket Artillery just adds to the atmosphere of the campaign. As I've already said, I think players will be pleasantly surprised and the Official Walkthroughs and AARs will definitely paint a better picture as we near final release. Hubert
  17. No new amphib rules for this release but perhaps for SC3 when that time comes
  18. In case anyone has missed the big announcement yesterday we've got two new expansions in the works that cover the Eastern and Western Fronts of WWII Global Conflict including several hypothetical "what if?" campaigns and much more. The action packed Eastern Front or German invasion of the Soviet Union will be released first in the next 6-8 weeks and we've already got an excellent Walkthrough/AAR against the AI in the brand new Assault on Communism forum found here: http://www.battlefront.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=141 Both packages will include a host of new features and additions including 10 new unit types, including Rocket Artillery, Light Tanks, Medium Bombers, as well as a much improved AI... the initial German attacks, thrusts and encirclements on the Soviet front lines will be downright scary and especially so for anyone new to the series. The follow up Assault on Democracy expansion release includes a global map of grand proportions at 484x200 tiles and over 5X (!!!) the number of playing tiles in comparison to our previous global map releases. 20. Hi Mike, It could still be an OS issue or something related to your modified campaign... difficult for me to say for sure without seeing the issue first hand. Send me your campaign file, scripts and any modified BMPs to support@furysoftware.com and I'd be happy to run a test on my end to see if an AI vs AI game produces the same error. Perhaps send me the files in separate emails if it is a big package. Hubert
  21. Looks like there might be an error in the script where the message immediately appears but the collection does not happen until the end of the turn. I can change this so that the collection occurs right at the same time that the plundering message appears for the next build but the good thing is that the MPP is not lost, just slightly delayed until you see the MPP collection window.
  22. Hi, In anticipation for the upcoming release of Assault on Communism, two of our beta testers are going to be providing us with an action packed refight of the 1941 German invasion of the Soviet Union! Michael Kollmann aka Hyazinth von Strachwitz will command the defense of the Soviet Forces while his opponent Jörg Frundsberg of the SI Games Forums will be in charge of the German assault. Michael will post the Soviet turns here while the German turns, in fact the full AAR, can be followed in German at the SI Games Forums found here: http://www.si-games.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25683&page=4&p=870526#post870526 If there are any questions regarding the German turns, Michael has also offered to answer them not withstanding any operational secrecy that may prevent him from knowing the answers [] Will the German assault be successful and perhaps reach Moscow before the Winter of 41? Or will the Soviet defenders heroically withstand the invasion at tremendous losses only to push the Germans back out just as in real life? Stay tuned! Hubert
  23. Hi Thraug, I apologize again as no info should have been released at all for this very reason, i.e. so as to not create this type of confusion... but we still have the same problem on our end that we are just not in a position to provide any more details just yet as we still have to sort them out properly on our end first. We should have more info ready soon and I sincerely appreciate everyone's patience until then, Hubert
  24. Great stuff JakubK and thanks for sharing
