  1. Moonslayer, finally had a chance to take a quick look and I have to say the mod work is a fantastic adaptation using the SC2 engine... love the sounds too Hubert
  2. Very nice as I know many have been waiting for a WWI mod
  3. justsayhello, while there have been a few delays on the end of the French publisher I believe there should be a new v1.06 French patch available very soon. Sorry about any inconvenience while we all wait. Hubert
  4. Actually if you want to go in chronological order by first battle appearances, according to Jane's I got the Tiger appearing in August 1942 (around Leningrad) whereas the Panther first appeared in 1943.
  5. Strange error indeed... doesn't hurt to try a reboot and/or a fresh install
  6. I agree actually... personal bias perhaps but I think the Panther was the better tank
  7. Great news ColumbusOHGamer and I'll also chime in with a thanks for the continued support. Hubert
  8. Absolutely, just by continuing to support and purchase game releases is charitable enough for me
  9. Iron Ranger, the script issue is a bug... looks like in Network games it is not applying script changes (as set by the host at runtime) over to the client. For railheads I believe that is all correct although originally I think the desire was to not allow any transport for land units even if they are within the city and the city is < 5. Air unit assessment is correct as well. P.S. The game is no longer in *bata* phase
  10. Perhaps... the downside could be where players build numerous forts during the summer etc.
  11. Bromely the fortifications are actually calculated in days it is just a bit tricky to anticipate the exact arrival due to the turn lengths over the seasonal changes.
  12. Thanks guys a few things to think about for sure... Liam the Pacific Fleet was more or less a minor deterent addition for aggresive Axis game play wrt Spain, problem is the limitation of the script will give the US that particular fleet if they DoW. It could be argued that perhaps the US would have indeed transferred some naval assets along the lines of a strategic decision in going after Spain but I think for down the road it would be preferrable that this slight side effect no longer happened.
  13. I'm just in the process of reviewing several items and the Great Santini brings up a few good points... any other feedback or ideas on how else Spain might be modelled? What is the most common strategy regarding Spain, both Axis and Allied? Thanks, Hubert
  14. Retributar, I tried the file and purchased Rommel... he is not immediately available on the PRODUCTION screen but if you click the little arrows on the right hand side he will be shown in the secondary list for May/Jun Hope this helps, Hubert
  15. Not sure Bromley but I would suggest upgrading to v1.06 as it is likely to correct this issue.
  16. FYI, Goran is that crazy Croatian relative that just can't seem to get enough of SC2... odd yet I'll admit strangely funny. Arado234, interesting about that painting... must be worth a pretty penny to a collector.
  17. I was not able to open the file as it looks like it is from an older version of SC2. Chances are this has been resolved with the latest patched version (v1.06), can you try updating to that particular version? Note, in order to preserve your campaign and update it to v1.06 please follow the instructions found here: http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=59;t=000097;p=1#000000 Hope this helps, Hubert
  18. Adding some notes from Moonslayer for silhouette creation: This is what I do with paint shop pro for unit silhouettes. It's a fairly pain-free method. 1) I make a copy of my unit_sprites_3d file (VERY important [Wink] ) 2) Paint over the sprite's shadows in 255/255/255 white. 3) Click 'colors' --> 'adjust' --> 'gamma correction' and lower the gamma (to 0.01) so that all graphics colours turn to black (almost all anyway). This helps with the contrast for the next step. Handily this will not affect the background colour. 4) Now click 'Image' --> 'edge filters' --> 'find edges'. Your sprites will be surrounded by a layer of white pixels whilst the rest of the page will be black. 5) Now use the 'flood fill' tool and turn up the tolerance to 199. Select 'solid color' on the tool's drop down menu and fill the white outline with your chosen silhouette colour. 6) Flood fill the rest of the image and background with 255/255/255 and save as unit_silhouettes_sprites_3d. Voila!
