I thought there was curently an end game trigger if there is not enough action in a given period of time...
I think games need limits, but I don't think that the player needs to always know what the limits are.
Wouldn't the sudden death moral level thing kick in before that happens?
I like the idea of hiding the turn numbers from the player, at least having a designer's option to do this.
I don't know much about copyright law, but you might want to make sure you contact a lawyer about using the name "Saving Private Ryan" in your product.Just a suggestion.
Was wondering if someone wouldn't mind re-doing this scenario in CMBB?
This was the first scenario I played against my greatest rival, my older brother. I was the Germans and he beat me.
But I definantly would like to play this one again. But I no longer have CMBO loaded and cannot bring myself to go back to it, CMBB has seriously spoiled me.
I would much prefer the American Civil War to Napoleonic.
troops from different regions of the south had different versions of the Rebel Yell.
Here is a link to a sound recording of a Confederate veteran demonstrating the Rebel Yell at the 75th Anniversary of Gettysburg.

the recording plays right when you open the page, and there is also a direct link to it at the bottom of the page.
I don't think it really matters at all in a single CMBB battle.
As far as the game is concerned, being wounded and being killed are the same thing.
I like the way it is handled now.
It doesn;t sound like the modding would be too tough. Only early war equipment would have to be modded, '40 Soviet and German uniforms.
I think it is a great idea. Hans' scenarios would be soo much better with the added atmosphere.
I agree, though, that the voices would be the hardest to do.
CM:BI (Combat Mission: Back to Iberia)
The tactic is fine to me.
When I play, I am usually more concerned with finding the enemy and defeating him. I rarely play QB's, but if I do, I make sure there is plenty of time to find the enemy and bring him to battle, not just grab the VL's.
LOL Lord Dragon. It certainly fits...
I just wonder whats going on when their buttoned up?!?!?!
Well, maybe I don't want to know...
