  1. First thing I did with my new rig was re-install ArmA on it. It looks great with settings and the view distance maxed out. If I were you I'd pick up ArmA: Gold Edition, saw it over at Amazon for like $10. Best place to grab missions/campaigns/skins/mods is http://www.armaholic.com/ About the vehicles, I'm not expecting any real damage physics being modeled in ArmA2 or OFPDR. Probably will be the same old green life bar. But these games really aren't about AFV or aircraft simulation gameplay. It delivers on the overall combined arms battlefield experience. But seriously, grab the gold edition now, the wait for the new versions won't exist for you then.
  2. It's kinda like flipping a coin on who's gonna win. Wings could of won game 2, Ducks could of won game 1, Wings could be up in the series 2-0, Ducks could be up 2-0 in the series.
  3. I gotta hunch the Ducks/Wings series will be long and Detroits first real test in the playoffs. My pick: Wings in 6 of course. Great to see a Caps/Pens matchup, always loved it when these teams were head to head. Anybody else remember the Dale Hunter days and the goon Craig Berube? Oh and Al Iafrate's monster cannon from the blue line, can't leave him out.
  4. Your a little late, did you look in the CMAK or CMBB forums? There's multi-page threads about this. Here's the CMBB thread and the CMAK thread. The mods have also been uploaded to http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/ website.
  5. Good question, but perhaps a better question is, does the Ukrainiam dev Graviteam have yours? The guys behind that T-72 tank sim need a publisher for their Steel Fury: Kharkov42 add-on Fall Blau. *wink*wink*nudge*nudge*
  6. Although I never did follow this thread or the game, I did bump into this news today. Konami has dropped Six Days in Fallujah.
  7. Ok thanks for the info. I've been playing a lot of Steel Fury: Kharkov 42 a lot lately. But still thinking of buying SBPro due to from playing more CMSF lately as well.
  8. I was a big fan of the original SB and never pulled the $125 trigger on this one. I was curious, looking at their purchase page, did you guys have to buy the upgrade? I noticed their selling upgrade CDs for $30.
  9. Well even here in the states it has another meaning as well. But it's pretty nasty so lets not go there. Sharks down 2 games, interesting.... those pesky Ducks. Yeah Ken, looks like the Presidents trophy curse might bite early this year.
  10. Runyan, right there with you man, that's when I started to get into hockey too. I learned quite a bit from playing NHL 94 and 95. I knew every teams line-up or at least their 1st lines from playing the game so much. The Genesis always had the better sports games. I think hockey videogame fans consider these two games the pinnacle of the series, even now today. The hours would fly by, along with the controllers getting thrown by some that reached their boiling points. Of course all the trash talking didn't help matters. As far as sports videogames go, most people don't know but hockey is probably the best as a videogame. The Madden series sells a bazillion copies every year. I've personally converted Madden players over to the hockey series. I too also tried getting newer versions of the NHL series. But unless you got buddies to play with it just isn't the same playing through a season/playoffs by yourself. I highly recommend getting the '06 game since NHL 94 comes along with it on the same DVD. Not sure if it's available for the 360, I got mine for the PS2.
  11. What does it mean if you stare at this pic for longer than 2 minutes? No wait, don't tell me, I think I know, sadly. No worries, we got eye candy fans!
  12. Ok, well I'm much better off now. Apparently when I switched it to 2x awhile back I didn't change the anti-aliasing to "Override any application setting". Doing this made the difference and has now gotten rid of the cascading graphics problem. I can see the sky as well. Overall, my performance is playable, I can zoom the camera around pretty fast. But when I have an infantry unit selected is when the performance gets choppy. When I have vehicles selected it's fine. Stikkypixie, thanks for the reminder about the 2x anti-aliasing trick.
  13. Yeah I know, that and 14 other teams might have something to say about it too. I figured this would be my last time to gloat about last years cup run. Just wanted to get one last shout out. Figured it was just a matter of time until somebody started a SC playoff thread. Haha, in my haste to post this thread I misspell Stanley, lol!
  14. I hopped in my time machine and know it's going to happen. What a helluva run for a repeat championship, you guys are gonna love it.
  15. Oh ok kool, don't hesitate to use the smilies more often then. I know I gotta since most of my posts are pointless, meaningless, and are often just plain lame attempts at jokes. But hey, I'd rather try to get laughs than never having tried at all. Yes I know, these are great words of wisdom, feel free to use it as a sig.
  16. Oh come on, it's just a joke. Turn off you joke filter. Besides, the only place I spam is the Peng thread, they deserve it and nobody complains.
  17. As if this hasn't been discussed to death already. Actually these games do work in RT, CMSF is proof of that. My only real gripe is the inability to watch parts of the action that's missed when playing in RT. Be great if there was a way to rewind 1 minute back to see what happened. Anyways, so whats the point of this thread again, you want a CMC version of the next CMx2 WWII or you want BFC to stick to turn-based?
  18. It never goes away om my PC, no matter what I put AA or AF at.
  19. Great job GaJ, a helluva undertaking no less. The site looks good, looking forward to using it.
  20. If your an old CMx1 player you might want to try Viagra.
  21. Yeah I get ok performance as well, but the cascading graphics are terrible along with the black sky. I tried digging around for modified drivers, Guru3D has some, but none look to target the OpenGL/DX10 problems.
  22. Congratulations, your certainly in the minority with the Vista and Nvidias DX10 card combo. I got a very similar setup, 9800GTX+, Asus P5N-D, Q9950, Corsair 4G memory, but on Vista Premium 32-bit. Just tried the new 182.50 drivers but still no changes. I'm guessing your Vista Ultimate version could be making the difference versus my Premium edition. Or maybe 64-bit versus 32-bit might be the difference. But anyways, did you make any changes to the Nvidia control panel settings, if so what? I've tried all kinds of different settings for them, so I don't bother fiddling with them anymore. I doubt having the internet connection on with a firewall makes any difference at all. So what other programs did you turn off to free up memory?
  23. Nope, it bypasses the menu system, hence the word "Hotkeys". You can customize these keys to anything you want. Just open up the hotkeys.txt file located in your C:Program Files\CMSF\Data folder and play around with it. Just backup the original in case you screw something up. What your after is below this title: Command Keys Direct // These will issue the designated command no matter what command panel is currently displayed OM's alternative hotkeys is geared towards CMx1 players. Feels much more at home for us than the default keys.
