Re ammo bearers IIRC they have to belong to the same formation - I think that means the same platoon.

Does putting all one's mods into a brz have any advantage re speed of loading etc? My concern is that mods get obsolete as newer versions of CM2 are released, and new, better mods are often produced. It's very hard/very time consuming to keep up with everything that is available. So, I have all mods unpacked and visible in my Z folders.

I dunno if they are still available, but I use a 30" Dell 3007WFP that I purchased (reconditioned) 7+ years ago. It's still superb. (2560x1600 res.)

Troops will shoot at WIA until either KIA or out of LOS. The AI's 7 secs "overtime" make sense for shooting at "any" target.

Kieme has more mods available than Olek (so far), and Kieme offers Allied + Russian forces whereas IIRC Olek's are all Ukranian.

Also, it's quite common in the smaller CM2 games to not have a mass of IFV's to bring up. But, agreed... in modern titles, 15-20 secs of 20mm+ is often more than sufficient to suppress or even kill.

Very excited you are looking at CMA Olek. That game will never be upgraded. So, wonderful if you can improve the worst of the graphics - like some of the Afghan Army uniforms. (There are many good uncon and Russian mods already available.)

Depends on your interests of course. But in terms of content, agree with TJT. IIRC you will find mostly Allied attacks in CMBN and CMFI. More Axis attacks in CMFB. About equal in CMRT.

IIRC, the CM2 system was changed some years ago so that ammo is first taken from appropriate ammo bearers within a couple action squares (including mortar ammo) before using the unit's "intrinsic" ammo.

Some of us would agree, Unfortunately the majority of customers may not be able to do that (unless they rob a bank). My concern is that it could easily take another 5+ years to get to 1939 era. And by that time many/most customers may be burned out on CM2. (Leaving aside that early war may not have such a large market cos the US wouldn't be represented.) Hence am thinking that maybe we should hope BF makes CM3 the priority in order to revitalize the products that are already available and then (hopefully) accelerate towards 1939 etc. with a more perfected CM3 engine.

For CMBS have you already got all Kieme's terrain and more recently, Oleks' vehicular and uniform mods?

Even since CMSF, have accomplished basically what you want by giving minimum distance waypoints with a pause and fire order at each one.

You would have to have movement paths and waypoints. You could target from each waypoint and have a PAUSE at the first waypoint that would stop the unit from traveling to any additional waypoints. Not sure what you are trying to achieve.

You could also go to the site of a high end gaming computer maker and see what specs they offer and copy that.

I don't recall using the target command to better orient a hull down position. IIRC one simply clicked "Hulldown". It didn't work well. Never used it. Some folks here seem to like the CM2 hulldown system a lot better. Us old-timers are used to doing it by eye. Hopefully, BF didn't use many resources to include it as a feature.

WeBOB is just now starting a CM1 CMBB tournament: 3Km x 3Km map, a Regiment or more of infantry and a couple companies of AFV's on each side if anyone is interested: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/webandofbrothers/invitiation-to-participate-in-bb13-round-4-t19054.html When well-modded, CM1 still looks graphically competitive with CM2 at levels 3 and higher. Of course CM2 looks much better at the lower close-up levels.

Interesting re how much C was hated by elements in the establishment who were trying to do him in for his non-politically correct speeches re Germany while he was popular amongst many "commoners" - couldn't help see the contemporary parallels with Trump.

Found "The Gathering Storm" on UTube of all places (in 2 parts). Even tho' I have HBO and Amazon Prime (which gives one many HBO shows), couldn't locate it there.
