  1. Thanks Mike! I've found the BMPs and compared them to my mod and no, it's not going to be quick or easy, but it's doable. Stay tuned...
  2. Why not a role-playing game in which the character of Madmatt goes around with a big ol' padlock and shuts down gratuitous sarcastic threads?
  3. I'm getting a "File not found" error for the zipped charts. I'd like to see if I could adapt my never-released CMBB JgdPzr IV mod to the CMAK model, but I gotta know which BMPs they are first!
  4. Supercool, as always! I dig the camouflage pattern. Can't wait to get home and play with it!
  5. Thanks guys. At present I'm trying to shoehorn these BMPs onto the old CMBO 3D model for the 251/9 Stummel. Wish me luck
  6. New versions of the mid- and late-war SPW 251/1, 251/2 mortar halftrack, and 251/10 command halftrack are available now at CMMODS.COM! Based on my CMBB halftrack mod, these versions feature new camouflage schemes for the Italian theater. Of course they're usable in CMBB as well. The 251/1 has the same brown/green over dark yellow camouflage scheme as on my SPW 250 mod. This time I've tried to weather it a little, adding chips and scratches to the paint. It's hard to tell here but looks pretty good in-game. The SPW 251/2 and 251/10 look similar, but each has a different camo scheme--green over yellow for the 251/2 and brown/yellow for the 251/10. No markings, except for the German cross, so you can add your own number plates, tactical signs bumper stickers.
  7. I just tested it here at work on my Mac. After downloading I got an "unabel to unarchive" error message, but I managed to decompress them using Stuffit Expander with no problem.
  8. Due to popular demand, I've re-posted my CMBB concrete bunker mod set to the CMAK section of the CM Mod Database. The pillbox textures are modeled after examples of real German fortifications from Normandy and the Siegfried Line and are designed to have a "dug-in" look where most of the pillbox structure is below-ground, making them a little more proportional to the sizes of the soldiers and vehicles in the game. The firing slit in the stock BMP has been replaced with a steel armor plate with firing and viewing apertures. The set includes plain concrete and bicolor camo pillboxes, as well as a winter version with whitewash. This mod can also be used with CMBO, provided the winter version BMPs are renumbered to work with the older games (i.e. "50340.bmp" must be renamed "10340.bmp").
  9. They're nearly done; 85% maybe. I had to take a break from working on them as my need to get all the little historical details right was getting kind of overwhelming. Also, the light tan uniforms are not very forgiving when it comes to little mistakes and color variations that could be fudged in other mods. If all goes well they'll be available this weekend. The paratrooper uniforms turned out especially well, I think.
  10. The pillbox mod is available now at http://www.cmmods.com/ It's in the CMAK section and contains plain, camo, and winter versions.
  11. Cool! And yes, I am running 10.3 at work. Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a try, but of course I'm home now and I'm uploading the files as I write this.
  12. I just found them on my computer here at work. I could upload them now but last time I tried something strange happened with my OS X copy of MacZipit and nobody could open them. I'll do it from home later tonight.
  13. On my hard drive of course. I should upload them, but I'm lazy. I promise I will!
  14. They're at the CM Mod Database, of course. Mid-war cold-weather uniforms for use by your troops in sunny Italy show soldiers wearing variations on the M1938 mackinaw. These really look cool in-game.
  15. Most of the German vehicle models in CMAK are the same as those in CMBB. I think there are a couple new ones--I'm pretty sure the Hetzer is one.
  16. Perhaps that's something for CMX2: both snow camouflage uniforms AND cold weather gear that get used depending on temperature and weather conditions.
  17. Oh, them was mine, I think. Those were lost in the great CMMODS crash of '03, and I don't think I've reposted them yet. I should really do that...
  18. OK, how's this? Needs a couple more tweaks before it's perfect. Should I include a KD service cap for the coy/bn HQ guy or would he have worn the continental version? Should it be an option? I also managed to work in the left-hand thigh pocket on the battledress trousers, so I guess I'll have to update the woolen battledress uniforms accordingly. I was actually able to whip up the entire mod set, including Canadians, test them, take a screenshot, save it as a JPEG, upload it, and post about it here in less than an hour. Pretty impressive if I do say so myself.
  19. It all depends on what you want to do. CM modders to everything from hard-core complete re-rendering and repainting of the textures to merely adding new camo patterns or dirt and grime or damage. You just need to assess how much of your life you're willing to waste doing it. Didn't someone, Zimorodok, I think, put together a "Modders Series" of plain bare-metal vehicles for CMBB? Those are the closest thing I can think of to vehicle templates. I think you can get them from cmmods.com.
  20. I don't think they were exclusive to mountain troops, just associated with them. Someone who knows more than me about it might be able to enlighten us. BTW, the 10th Mtn. was involved in some of the hairiest fighting of the war, and suffered the highest casualty rate of any US unit. Are there any scenarios out there that feature these guys? The battles at Riva Ridge and Monte Belvedere seem like good scenario fodder. Fix or do somefink!
  21. Mike I tried that and it looks bad The distortion of the helmet model won't allow for the foliage loops that are part of the distinctive look of the cover and a plain camo pattern on the helmet looks just strange. It's too bad.
