  1. It looks a little bit like it, doesn't it? The picture on their site is a little too small to get a good look at it, though. I suppose I should do a re-work of the Jeep for CMAK. I always liked the way the "mickey mouse" camouflage version turned out, but I don't know if the British used that paint scheme in the Med. If anyone would like to enlighten me feel free to pipe up.
  2. I managed to add some waves to the gun shield edges (thanks for the suggestion, MikeyD ), and I added a subtle tricolor camouflage pattern. Ready to go as soon as I find those stinkin' breach block BMPs.
  3. Yeah, I found that site already... Thanks, though! I've been debating as to whether I try the wavy gun shield, though. The proportions are funky enough as it is. I might give it a try and see what happens.
  4. Inspired by Phillipe's mine marker thread, I decided to revisit my CMBB minefield markers that were lost in the Great Mod Crash of '03. This time I added three additional sets, all based on historical WWII German examples! The mod pack includes two versions of the red/white striped German minefield signs, one with an authentic sans-serif typeface, and one with Fraktur script(as depicted in the US Army "Handbook on German Forces"); as well as white "Achtung! Minen" signs. Lastly, an AP-mine-only square sign with a skull and letter "M" is also included. These may be used in CMAK, CMBB, and CMBO without alteration. They are higher resolution than the standard mine signs. Get them while they're hot at the CM Mod Database. Up next is this bad boy: I've been noodling around with this since CMBB, and it's about time we had something to replace the old lo-res CMBO textures for the sIG 33. The CMBB versions are close to finished, and I can wrap up the CMAK set as soon as I find which BMPs control the textures for the breech and top of the breech block, which of course are numbered differently than in CMBB. A side view to show the wooden "artillery wheels" and reworked carriage: The desert version in proper Afrika Korps brown: There will be an alternate BMP with no tools on the shield, and maybe a tricolor camo version. Depends on how much more time I want to spend on it. [ September 22, 2004, 01:02 PM: Message edited by: AndrewTF ]
  5. Hmmm. I think CMBO changed over in November or December '44 but it's been a while...
  6. I thought mid-war lasted through May 44, but I suppose I could be wrong, not having a copy of CMAK here at work and all.
  7. Infantry change into their late-war uniforms in June 1944.
  8. Is there a Disney song about MikeyD's fantasies involving Siamese twins? If so I don't think I want to hear it.
  9. Thanks Pat--It's almost exactly like the version I am (was) working on, so I guess I can stop and just download yours! Nice job in adapting my 251/1 and 250/8 BMPs--it's not easy to shoehorn them onto the 3D model and have them fit right.

  11. Most of my German winter mods for CMBB had all-white options, and they should swap over pretty readily to CMAK if that's the look you're going for.
  12. Cool! Go ahead. I'll have to check it out and see whether I should keep working on my version or not.
  13. Yes, it is. You can compliment the gang at BFC because I stole the idea from the original CMBB uniform graphics because it looked so cool.
  14. I've made "ETO" uniforms with dark gray helmets for late-war (CMAK set 3, June '44–May '45) Heer, Luftwaffe, and Waffen-SS troops, all available at cmmods.com. David I is correct about the CMBB BMP usefulness.
  15. I think that can be arranged. I've found it difficult to get the Luftwaffe eagle on the M43 cap due to the odd distortion of the texture at the top of the cap, so it'll probably just be a renumbered Heer cap, so I hope you can live with that The sidecap's an easy one.
  16. Yup, it sure would. Looks great on my computer. Yessiree, sure does...
  17. I decided I didn't like the look of the mid- and late-war US tank crews, which depicted them wearing Winter Combat ("Tanker") jackets which--unlike their real-life waist-length versions--were way too long, and gave the impression that crews were wearing Dad's too-big sweater or something. I followed the same model when making my original US mods. This new version corrects that inaccuracy and adds winter versions. It's not that difficult to get them out of their tanks to take a screenshot, but it is pretty tough to keep them from hugging dirt! Only at The CM Mod Database. I'm also revisiting the German crew uniforms. Here's a preview: And here's an screenie of the updated Commonwealth crew uniforms that I didn't posted when I uploaded them: It's a regular crew-o-rama! And for those who are about to ask: yes, I am wrapping up the SPW 251/9 mod. I'll post here when it's ready.
  18. The updated Commonwealth crew mod has been posted to the CM Mod Database. New features include a fix to the Polish Kiwis issue and new shoulder flashes for the Canadian and British battledress versions of the crew uniforms. Enjoy!
  19. It's a bug insofar as the wrong graphic is included with the game. The mod should fix it and the textures included should be reasonably compatible with the stock game "coverall" tank crew uniforms.
  20. Aha! Vindicated! I just tested this myself--for some reason I never applied my crew mod to the Polish or NZ tankers--and sure enough they both have the same shoulder insignia. Lest you think I'm ignoring you I'm working on an update of my mod that fixes the problem. There are some other insignia corrections included. Should be ready any time now, but not tonight.
  21. DAK mechanized troops share helmet textures with mid-war (July '43-May '44) Heer regular infantry units. 9021.bmp.
  22. Too bad the organization isn't as good as the art! I royally screwed this one up. Looks like I used the early-war numbers for the mid/late-war uniforms. Duh. That's what I get for working on this stuff late at night I suppose. I've fixed it and I'll post the correct version on CMMODS tonight. Sorry about the confusion.
