  1. How cool is that?!? I know what I'm gonna download when I get home, but I might have to download it here at work just so I can look at the bmps and marvel.
  2. For some reason I forgot to make a Luftwaffe AFV crew uniform for North Africa, so here it is: Also, remember my mid-war Luftwaffe infantry mod, the ones with the Waffen-SS camo smocks? Someone asked me to make a version with the spring side of the smock show instead of the autumn, and I just sorta blew him off like usually do, but then I decided one day to make one, because it's pretty easy, but I thought it sucked, and I forgot about it for months and then I was actually playing CMAK the other day and saw this mod again and thought to myself "This doesn't suck--what was I thinking?" so I decided to offer it for download and how's that for a run-on sentence. They look even better in-game. Available at the CM Mod Database.
  3. The Coy/Bn HQ has a red beret originally in the game. My mod just alters the color a little and adds an improved para badge. Otherwise it's similar to the originals.
  4. Phil- It only works with the British paras in the game. They show up early on in Italy.
  5. A lot of people have been pestering me about this one, so here it is! At CMMODS.COM! This mod depicts British paras wearing early-pattern Denison smocks over denim battledress as was typical for the Italian theater. Optional woolen BD bmps are included as an option. Enjoy. 6. I thought about it but then I'd have to alter the proportions of the gun and that would cause more trouble so I left it alone. Hopefully this is something BFC will fix in the next patch. Since they included a Vickers BMP with the game I assume that they intended to use it at some point .
  7. I got tired of watching my Commonwealth guys use Browning M1917s, so I put together a proper Vickers machine gun. Two of them, actually, both included in a single ZIP at the CM Mod Database. I tried to make something that would work well with Juju's awe-inspiring small arms mods. It's completely from scratch, too. Curiously enough, there is a Vickers MG BMP included with the game, 1934.bmp, so I'm not sure why BFC decided to have it and the M1917 share textures. It may have something to do with the hard-coded tripod graphic not lining up properly, but I find that less distracting than looking at the wrong weapon. Make sure you back up your 1943.bmp so you can swap it back when you play Americans.
  8. Cool! I'll check the Proving Grounds later on...
  9. What about threats and intimidation? </font>
  10. Still on my hard drive. Cash donations (US$ please) help speed up the work though.
  11. OK, I sent them to Gary in ZIP form and he was able to open them. Feel free to download again!
  12. That's odd. I just tried it and was able to download both the Cassino and Santa Maria scenarios and both worked fine. I even opened them up in the editor to check. I'm using 1.01 of course. I'm on a Mac--does that make a difference? [ July 01, 2004, 01:56 AM: Message edited by: AndrewTF ]
  13. I've recently posted two scenarios to the Proving Grounds, and I'd love to get some feedback on them before I send them on the Scenario Depot. First one is "Santa Maria Infante-The Spur," an American night attack against unknown German opposition on the Santa Maria-Minturno highway. The second, which I just uploaded a few minutes ago, is "Cassino Railway Station," which depicts the German counterattack on the Maori Battalion at Cassino Station in February 1944. Both are historical. I've had almost 40 downloads on the Santa Maria scenario, so let's have some feedback, please!
  14. Were you going to kill me with axes? I don't recall, but if you want to, then uh, give it a whack, so to speak. Actually if you wanted to have a go with swords that would be better as I could defend myself. Well, sorta, as I'm only trained in stage combat so I'd die pretty quickly, although I'd make it look good, probably. If you really want to paypal me with your funny little Canadian $$$ you can send me an e-mail,otherwise the ego stoking is enuf.
  15. I think someone mentioned this one in a post from way back. It's basically the CMAK late-war Luftwaffe infantry mod set with a few different BMPs thrown in from different mods to give them a look appropriate for Normandy scenarios. Get 'em at the CM Mod Database.
  16. Alright ya pukes--they're all fixed and uploaded to Modslut Central.
  17. I suppose if it's still available I could use it. I've already modded all the uniforms in the game, but maybe it''ll come in handy if someone decides to hire me to do this in the future or something. Thanks for the offer. [Editid cuz I dont spel reel gud.]
  18. Well, I figured out the problem--they're the uniforms worn by the Italian army in "A Farewell to Arms"! Get it? Actually, without too much explanation I made a stupid mistake when uploading the files. I'll fix and re-upload this evening.
  19. I've seen examples of the insignia being sewn directly onto the KD and of the insignia being placed on removeable pieces of cloth that hung down from the shoulder straps (can't remember the name of this at the moment), so you aren't wrong either way. I have not ever seen Canadian insignia on shoulder strap loops. </font>
  20. Junk already plugged my stuff, so I didn't want to be redundant. Of course I'd recommend downloading all *my* mods!
  21. Get anything, or everything really, by MikeyD and Juju.
  22. Both are in the works. British airborne are about 75% done. In CMAK the French troops in Italy use the mid-war American uniforms, (M41 field jacket and wool trousers) with the adrian helmet, so they probably won't get anything new other than the helmet. Goumiers would be cool but the robe would be tough to realistically depict so I'll probably just spare myself the trouble. I will tackle the early-war French, though.
  23. Michael Dorosh might be the best one to chime in here, but I have a copy of his book (that he kindly sent me) so I'll stick my neck out and say that the denims are probably more common, but there are numerous photos in the book of Canadian soldiers wearing KD in Italy so I'd say it's a toss-up. Maybe someone who knows more can help further, but I think at this point it's a matter of personal preference. The one error in my KD battledress mod is that the sleeve insignia should probably be on shoulder slips, but I think that's a minor quibble.
  24. When things are downsampled they become blurry and indistinct. When they're not they're crisp and clear and show details nicely. You'll know when things are downsampled when you see it.
