  1. Don't even start with me... Actually, I thought about it but the distortion caused by the cap 3D models makes it a pretty tough job.
  2. Where else? This new Panzer Pack features reworked uniforms that are more accurate representations of the Heer pattern AFV uniform. This set is not meant to replace the previous versions (which I actually kinda prefer to these, but I don't know--they're both pretty cool) but to add an option for people like Michael Dorosh who demand complete authenticity! BTW, I researched the info for the uniforms on Michael's website (one of them) so if there's anything wrong this time then blame him Included in this set is a bonus reed green twill AFV uniform, which I think you will agree is my grooviest Panzer uniform ever. Take a look: Basic black Field gray Note Sturmartillerie collar tabs. Reed green
  3. Can you point to twelve published references, 30 online photographs, and at least two veteran interviews in English that will substantiate your little pet theory that this is incorrect? Sure u can always find on war photos (especially late), mixed items , but i have just pointed the fact that a luftwaffe buckle on a waffen ss dot pattern, or an Heer Stug uniform seemed a bit strange ,at least for me. i dont think ive said that in an agressive form against AndrewTF, infortunately ,i dont have the time to find all the proofs needed by Mr Dorosh, it was just a collector point of wiew the "joker" </font>
  4. D'oh! I just noticed that. Not all the uniforms have the buckle in question, just most of them. I'm surprised that Dorosh didn't pick up on that. I guess he was too busy measuring lapel widths and opening angles. I'll fix ASAP, as I merely forgot to hide the Luftwaffe belt buckle layer when I was saving the files.
  5. ...at CMMods.com. I know some of you have been waiting for this one so go get it!
  6. Sorry about that Andrew. I've added Crew for all nationalities. I fixed your entry so it will show properly now too. </font>
  7. I'm sure you're right as I'm admittedly ignorant about German uniforms... really. Other that what I've managed to learn in researching these mods that is. I don't know nothin' about 'em--I just draws 'em purty good. That said I actually was aware of the difference, but made them look this way as it looks better on the CM 3D figure model. I'm not sure I can really spot the difference anyway. It looks like the Heer wrappers illustrated on your site have big giant zoot suit lapels unlike the SS one you posted here.
  8. Mid-and late-war Panzer uniforms for Heer, Luftwaffe, and Waffen-SS crews. Includes black and field-gray options for Heer and LW units. I had to post them at CMMods.com under the "other" category as there doesn't seem to be a separate listing for vehicle crews. Let's get started with the screenies: Heer in black and field-gray Luftwaffe in same. Insignia is for Hermann Göring Division Waffen-SS. Optional W-SS sidecap shown I kinda cheated with that second-to-last one, as it's just my CMBB mid-war W-SS uniform mod swapped over to CMAK.
  9. This is too cool not to have a preview pic, so here:
  10. Hey Junk--give me a holler if you want insignia-less sleeve BMPs for the mid-war airborne uniforms. They're more authentic for Normandy.
  11. I think you're making the mistake of assuming I actually know what I'm doing . I did know, however, that the shoulder patches should not be on both arms, but since they're mirrored in the game I don't really see any other choice other than to leave them off altogether. Since they look cool I decided to leave them on. Actually, only the Waffen-SS coy/bn HQ has separate arm BMPs--the squads and platoon HQs have mirrored arm textures, probably because they are depicted wearing insignia-less smokes. That's why I've never released my supercool Waffen-SS tropical "sahariana" uniform mod...
  12. Posted now (at the CM Mod Database, of course): mid- and late-war American airborne uniforms for CMAK! These look much better in-game so you should go download them rightnow! Numerous improvements and additions to the originals include: 82nd airborne shoulder patches, new improved more accurate M42 airborne uniforms and more. Mid-war: Late-war with rigger-applied pockets on trousers:
  13. How early is "early-war"? The Crete set that I made had the regular blue-gray Luftwaffe cap, but I believe I included the white-covered cap with the North Africa Fallschirmjäger set as an option. And no, it's not an admiral's hat... it's the LW cap with a white cover as used in tropical areas. Duh.
  14. Finally--more than one word! You're welcome. More to come...
  15. ...at the CM Mod Database! Uniforms for both mid- and late-war Fallschirmjäger units, showing a mix of continental and tropical uniforms worn under camouflage jumpsmocks.
  16. I don't know all that much, but I'm pretty good at researching . The late-war uniform mod will use the LW camo smocks. I know the HG division was out of Italy by mid-1944 but a simple re-numbering will convert them to the earlier uniforms. I made several different LW field division uniform mods for CMBB, which should still be available at CMMods.com.
  17. I'm aware of that. Just pretend that your units in CMBB are the 20% that did receive them.
  18. MikeyD is the Facemaster™. Goggles could be done but then you can't control who wears goggles and who doesn't, as the faces are randomly distributed among the soldiers and crews. All in all I'll probably stick with what I'm good at.
  19. You should get a Radeon or something. I actually bought mine just so I could play CMBO way back when. I guess when CMX2 or whatever comes out I'll force myself to get an OSX machine. But until then... Funny you should mention the framerate thing as my Mac rarely slows down, unless I've got a whole mess of burning buildings and gobs of armor and stuff running around. I guess downsampling has its benefits.
  20. Yeah, I knew about it... it's the "hidden teaser" so don't tell anyone. What kind of Mac are you using. My rig at home is an -- don't laugh -- old 8600 with a 32MB PCI Radeon card and a G3 400 upgrade. Surely you must have something better than that! Disclaimer to add that I have a dual-gig G4 AND a G4 Titanium Powerbook courtesy of my workplace, so it's not like I'm that far behind . The way I get the sharp screenies (the only way) is to make a tiny tiny test map with minimal or no terrain features (I can have a few trees and rocks and stuff with the infantry) and to have maybe one squad of infantry plus a couple HQs or support units and one vehicle on it. Vary as needed, but eventually you'll get something that looks good, I hope. Came as a complete shock to me the first time I managed to get a non-downsampled shot!
  21. Available now at the CM Mod Database: mid-war Luftwaffe mechanized uniforms. The HG division were issued Waffen-SS camo smocks early on and used them in North Africa and Italy, so this it what they have on here. Yes, it does look a lot like my W-SS uniform mod, but if you look closely you'll notice completely different field gear and stuff. Almost complete is the Italian North Africa uniform set, which I completed about 60% of before CMAK was released! Here are a few pix to whet your appetite: Italian infantry Bersaglieri Bersaglieri HQ detail Pith helmet detail. I actually managed to fake pretty good bersaglieri and infantry cap badges, despite the mirroring. Too bad about the bersaglieri's plume but oh well. Lots of new detail on the helmet though. There are no fewer than 4 different types of Italian uniform tunic depicted in this mod set. Pretty cool, huh?
  22. It's about time! I've been scouring Modslut Projects Nos. 1 and 2 to bring CMAK up to Juju standards. Hurry up!
  23. You might want to try a search, as this has been discussed several times before at length. The 10 ammo count does not represent 10 individual bullets but rather 10 groups of shots, i.e. sharpshooters can cause more than one casualty per "round" expended.
