Info on Canadians in Normandy?
Stixx replied to Panzer Leader's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I was looking at doing a scenario on the carpiquet AO, this is one site that had some reasonable info on the area. Defeat of the 12th SS -
Prinz Eugene, if i was you i would consider editing your post It's completely uncalled for. Achim Heidelauf is a guest on this forum just like all of us, BTS has made it clear to us that they value their relationship with CDV. I don't think your post is appropriate, even if it is supposed to have a humerous side... Stix

Please excuse this non CM related post but... A long time ago (Probably 12-18 months) someone posted a 20,000 word essay that they had wrote on the warrior code. I can't remember who it was and i had it saved for some time as i found it very interesting reading. Anyway i no longer have it and would appreciate it if the person who wrote it could email me a copy of it or if anyone does still have email a copy of it. Thankyou Stix stix243@iprimus.com.au

It means exactly what it says mate, any and all except the flaks. You can take 76mm or 88's but what is the use on an "Infantry" force?. Germans can take 150mm IG's if they want because after all they are an "Infantry" gun.

Grossdeutschland and the question of crimes
Stixx replied to Michael Dorosh's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
You don't honestley expect anyone (except maybe JasonC) to read all that do ya mate? This is a Combat Mission message board, i don't think this post is really related to the game mate. -
That is a good idea for our new friend wamphyri, here is the link mate Newbie guide to CM You will find there are answers to every question you could ever think of to ask archived in this message board. The link above have as very large collection of previous forum posts set out extremely well. It would be as good a place as any to get "Up to speed" on Combat Mission. Good luck and welcome to the board, soon you will be aCMillated. Stix

Well i had high hopes for myself! I was cruising along quiet nicely but... Joe Shaw started to take things personnely. He started sending 2,000 word emails to me and Mace about my attitude towards him in the MBT. I didn't care that he sent them to me but was annoyed that he would send them to Mace who i am good mates with and who had nothing to do with it. Joe seemed like he was trying to run things when i was there and i couldn't get along with him, so... I left Stix

It's a LONG story mate... The short version is this. They are a bunch of guys called "Cesspoolers", they all know each other quiet well and play there own sort of "internal" ladder. People start of as SSN's (Scum Sucking Newbies) rise to the rank of serf and knights etc. They give each other a hell of a hard time but it's all in good fun. They have their own little internal jokes and so forth. Anyone is welcome there (except me but new guys will cop alot of FLAK from the regulars, the better you can give it back the better you will get along with them. Of course someone from the MBT will drop in here soon and give you a run down of the Peng Challenge in the sort of cryptic language they use. There is a lot more to the Cesspool then meets the eye and i couldn't cover it all in this thread. There is a FAQ on the MBT somewhere i think. MBT = Mutha Beautiful Thread Stix

CMBB Sneak Preview in Sydney
Stixx replied to Brian Rock's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hmmmm, Sydney is only about 13 hours away... If i leave on saturday my car might make it as far south as Grafton if i'm lucky. Then i'll hitch hike on to Coffs Harbour, steal a car from there and get to the central coast. I have a mate there who can give me a lift in to Sydney! Yes! I think i can make it! *Then i woke up!* -

I agree LGMB... Blokes on this board act like little bloody kids some times, i find it rather annoying... BTS has given us a war game better than ever of us have ever dreamed!!! Be happy with it! They WILL be bringing out another EVEN BETTER war game WHEN THEY BLOODY FINISH IT!!!, Steve has already said he is working 20 hour days at times! We will all know when it's released, until that day comes try and be suportive of BTS not a pain in the proverbial! Stix

suprises... what might they be???
Stixx replied to Durbish's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Its part of the CM addiction</font> -
Hehe, if it makes ya feel better i got a laugh out of your post Really i think the answer you are looking for is "Out of the scope of CM" In a tactical sense i can't see the point in Refugees, it would be to hard to admister.

Well actually......never mind. Mace</font>

That is fact!. Patton had been given a slap on the wrists for his slapping of a "Battle fatigued" soldier in a hospital. At the launch of Overlord Patton commanded the biggest force "On Paper" but not a single unit under his actual command. That is a great counter-intel plan, the allies do need credit for that!.

On that subject who has a decent .BMP for that tile!?! I have some baby poo brown colour that is really annoying!

Why is BTS now known as BFC?
