  1. Would it be possible at some point that users could give QB maps some ranking, like 1-5 stars or something? Those would be shown next to map name when browsing maps. This way users could remember which maps were best and also which one they've tried before.
  2. That >200 meter distance is for how far shell fragments are dangerous. A fragment could fly that far and hit someone lethally. But just few meters away there's also the pressure which hits everything nearby, not like the pieces of metal which may hit or not.
  3. Agree about stopping, but why hide?
  4. I would assume that people a few meters from explosion which creates a 10 meter crater would be in pretty bad shape.
  5. Agree with this. The biggest scenarios in MG module are pretty much the upper limit of what I like to play.
  6. Ok, I understand this. I played some such huge map PBEMs with CMBO and during most turns nothing or very little happened because units were spread on such huge area. Based on my CMBN experiences 1.5km x 2km or maybe 2km x 2km would be still playable, especially if at least one side uses mostly motorized units. I tried playing one game using one of the master maps and my PC basically stopped. Got maybe 1fps. Just not enough power to handle maps that big.

  8. People really want maps bigger than 4km x 4km???
  9. Like Womble wrote time based victory objectives would be nice.
  10. I also remember this mega tile idea. Any update on whether it's still valid?
  11. Agree with sburke. Action tends to be very different when you have to do things within time limits and can't avoid risk.
  12. I think we'll see more scenarios because of this. I have played very few CMBN scenarios against the AI because I knew AI plans are strictly time based. Now when the AI will actually react to what is happening it makes things so much better.

  14. Question: if AI units are waiting for a trigger that enemy moves to some area, does some AI unit need to have LOS to the area? So are you simulating that once AI units see enemy in some area the trigger is used or could the trigger area be for example behind a hill with no AI units nearby?
  15. In some old version (can't remember which) speed was very important factor deciding whether a vehicle like a HT immobilized or not. At least in rainy conditions. Using Move command made driving possible, but Quick often meant quick immobilisation.

  17. The civilians trusted the tank driver a great deal not even facing the same direction as the tank.
  18. The easiest way to make sure the QB has only units that you both have is that your opponent without MG module generates the game.

  21. Now that I got to see the turn movie - that LOF didn't prevent succesful shooting. So I guess the line colour tells whether firing is possible, not whether there seems to be obstacles.
  22. IMO my tank selected the target during previous turn by itself. It was already aiming when I decided to check whether there are trees etc. nearby. So I don't think I'm lucky if the next shot hits the roof and maybe as result enemy tank spots my tank. I'd rather see my tank hold the fire until it really has clear LOF. Save ammo and stay unspotted. To me this seems like maybe the hitbox of this building is a bit too small.
  23. In a scenario I'm playing I noticed this: a Sherman Firefly of mine is targeting enemy tank. Tank status is Aiming. When I target this enemy tank doing command phase, the LOF line is red. AFAIK this means the game thinks the line to target is clear and my tank can shoot. Even though the building is blocking the view. Is this a bug? I don't know yet whether my tank will shoot or not.
