  1. Awesome. Looks like the one down the street from me at Vimy-(the other National War museum) Mad props
  2. Thats a shame. Fionn is the Original Gangsta of AARs and most of your details are great teaching lessons. Cheers
  3. How did you know I've only done ONE scenario. Its for CMBO. Carpiquet Operation. 2 reviews from from 700+ downloads. My name isn't even there for that one. I know how much hard work goes into it. I spent $100 ( 3 weeks) obtaining aerial photos just for the scenario, and I had a blast doing it. It was fun, and hopefully everybody who does scenarios has fun making them as much as we love playing them. Maybe I read the first few posts wrong but it seemed like people over reacted over something quite small. It was a knee-jerk reaction on my part and I'm regretting causing other members to be saddened ( I started the bad stuff last night) I've done some mods here and there but if someone was to add something to my mod and release it without my permission I wouldn't get upset and ask for an apology. Thats just me, I've got more important things to protect than video games and its modifications. Lets just remind people to be tactful about everything CM whether it requires permission to use a scenario or going about telling someone about the permission. Including Hoopenfaust 101 I'm not nailing the work of the designers or the websites that host them. Its just the attitude sometimes of the people who are deeply involved with this game. Andreas, Berli and Rune none of what I've have typed is directed at you (hard to tell eh) Besides you guys are smarter than myself judging from the witty posts I've read from you guys. I have gripes with some people here from the past about their tact when responding to certain news or posts. Cheers
  4. Don't get me wrong, you guys do a lot of hard work for the community (more than others) and I've never complained or given a bad review ( because there are no scenarios Der Kessel or B&T have done that are bad) but it was just the way that everybody jumped on the Spanish doctor's back. Now he is gone, chased away by people you believe he commited some Combat Mission crime. Don't tell me he wasn't thinking "community" when he decided to do what he did. He apologized and did what you asked (which he actually didn't have to) and people still continued to inform him of this silent CM code we must "all" follow. wwb: "Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the treats that many like myself have given to you all freely" Smells like EGO to me. 5. Those QB map packs are the greatest. Old Dog was a smart man for doing those. Labeled the maps so we could choose them to our liking. Now Old Dog is an "artist"
  6. Sure I don't mind. This forum use to have a great attitude but lately is been going downhill. Maybe it'll be wake up call for some people. I understand the amount of hard work people put into things like scenarios for a video game but claiming "rights" and infringements is a little over board if you ask me. The spanish doctor should have asked permission before he posted all those scenarios but to jump on his back like some people did. I'm just pissed at the fact that some people have created these computer nerd egos behind their glowing monitors. What some people believe about themselves in "their" world is pretty amusing to me. This post will get locked up shortly and maybe people will calm down and have some fun with this great game. Mastergoodale and Parabellum are doing more for the community than bitching about intellectual property. Sorry
  7. Uh oh Some egos have been bruised here. People this is a video game and nothing more. If you want to call yourself an "artist" go ahead but you guys are living in some computer nerd fantasy world. You are not artists, you might be good at spending 20 hours in front of a computer clicking on your mouse, but you are not "artists" ( Unless you are Gordon Molek) All people want to do is have some fun with a game they bought and helping other people have just as much fun. But egos should not get in the way. If you feel like you've been robbed of something intellectual ( a digital map) don't worry... everything will be o.k.
  8. These are great. You guys really know how to put the "fun" back into this game. All threads should be this entertaining and educational but we know that is impossible. Cheers
  9. What are you doing re-starting a mac? Drag the icon for the application out of the CMBB folder Then drag your new "icon" into this same folder Then select all the files inside the data file which came with the patch and drag this into your data folder on your hard drive. This new data contains bmps for new models and old one's as well Hope this helps
  10. These keep getting better and better. They look pretty realistic from the photos I have. Keep up the good work Canon.
  11. Hey man, I pay up to $300 CDN. for certain typefaces. Its a livin' Use IMPACT (since its on most computers) and just paint or erase certain features to create that hand paint job Mr. Dorosh was mentioning.
  12. Same with me, but it doesn't do it in TCPIP games, i think iMac G4 9.2.2 Cheers
  13. Hoopenfaust 101, I believe the "kit" you are referring to are Marco Bergman's originals, I just added the camouflage.
  14. Go check out Gordon Molek's mods of the Sherman for CMBO. Or his halftracks. They look pretty good to me. Did you get your OE problem solved?
  15. Saturnin They look great. One of the pics has a jerry can and a helmet on the side of the vehicle. Those details are hard to come by, but I'd really like to add those in at sometime to the mods. The white wash picture is something I've been looking for. I've got other pics of whitewash AFVs and like this one, it seems the turret has most of the white paint and not the rest of the tank (makes sense) What do people want? - White Wash Dunkelgrau a la PanzerMartin - bi-curious (oops) bi-camo dunkelgelb I'd really like a partner (one) so we can get things looking the same. 16. Could I get those to. I'm done with Dunkelgrau mods for now, although PanzerMartin is doing a great job on a new style of Dunkelgrau. Some of those yellow panzers are begging for some camo. Cheers
  17. Mac Users Only This will allow us Mac users to use the CMMOS file sets without having to manually remove each and every " _dirty" from the file names so what we are left with are simple "34500.bmp" file names. If you have Mac Os Ten installed on your computer you are all set.... if not, you somehow need to get this file (its really really small) Follow this path ( you don't need to be in OS Ten to do this) Hard drive / Library / Scripts / Finder Scripts. Within the folder "Finder Scripts" you will find a script called Replace Text in Item Names.scpt -Grab this file and copy it to your desktop -Find the application called Script Editor on your hard drive -Open the application -Open the script you just copied onto your desktop ( a little box should appear with buttons that resemble an old school MP3 app) -Make sure whatever CMMOS folder you downloaded is on the desktop as well. -Open the CMMOS folder ( any of the folders you downloaded) * Make sure this is the only folder opened on the desktop. -Now press the run button on the Script editor application -A small dialogue box will open asking you to find the text you want to remove. If you downloaded all the dunkelgrau dirty BMPs you will type in the dialogue box _dirty then press OK. -Another dialogue box will pop up asking you what you want to replace that text with. Since we don't want anything to replace the text, we type nothing (leave it blank) and Press OK Script editor will start to convert your file names (it should take 45 sec for 300 files) Voila. You are now a happy mac user and you no longer have to shake your fist at Gordon Molek for working so hard on something you can't use....yet If I'm not clear and this doesn't make sense to you or you are deprived of this file, e-mail me.
  18. Its actually written by the AI Quote " ...move your company commander well ahead of the main body....send all tanks ahead before scouting"
  19. No problem. My mac at work actually doesn't have the script that I used  but I'll do it when I get home at lunch. Might have to e-mail this script out to mac users just in case.
  20. I'm intrigued about the armour texture on the tank. How the hell did you get it looking so realistic. Great job.
  21. Panzerman check this thread. Applescript The applescript mentioned in the thread is found on all macs. To convert 350 files, it takes 45 sec. Hope this helps all mac users
  22. Lookin good Andrew  Did you change your graphics card? I remember you had pixelation problems. Nothing looks downsampled.
  23. My mods are going to look pretty crappy when the full sets by Gordon are released Believe you me Just sit back and relax and wait.
