  1. Fyi, there's also a variant of Finnish Stug with logs added to the side. see - http://www.wargamer.com/cm/cmworld/cmworldimages/general/finnish_stug_logs.jpg PawBroon: You doing a damn good job not to mention service! You are what CM Outpost used to be and MORE!. It is so refreshing to see your site. I'd been bumed out bigtime since the demise of Outpost and it got worse when Manx's site passed. Nice to see you filling a big void. Thanks.
  2. fyi, from an e-mail I just sent Apache: As PawBroon indicated on the forum, I had done some fieldgrey (probably not historically correct) mods. My goal was to have an early war look. Attached (jpeg) you will find those mods I use for the Eastern Front campaign mod (Frontovik by Mike T and Co.) They look more realistic (in my opinion) in urban Frontovik scenarios versus the more colorful camo variants that I use for the normal CMBO - west front theatre. NOT ALL OF THEM WERE DONE BY ME. I am showing them together so you can see how they look as a group. The Tiger is Tiger's (Ha), the Panther was Maximus' (via Fernando), the King Tiger is Kitty's, the Kubelwagen is Mr. Clark's and the Jagdpanther is Brunnelle's. The others are mods I'd done based on the original CMBO / BTS skins. All I did was tweak the colors, add some details, and sharpen a bit. They are primarily low-res, better than the orignals but certainly not like stuff produced by the mod gods, as I have a light weight computer and did not want to sacrifice speed during mega East Front armor and urban battles. You'll notice some interesting twists. I have a Panzer III (shown) / IV F1 (with short 75 HE not shown), air recognition panels for Marder and Truck (for when the Germans had air superiority) and an early Panzer (imposed on the Hotchkiss). Looking at the pic, I notice I did not show the JagdTiger. I have that in fieldgrey too. You'll find most of my fieldgrey mods at Wargamer's CMWorld page under Frontovik (Russian Campaign) and / or Fading Hopes (Biltzkreig - 1940). http://www.wargamer.com/cm/cmworld/defaultflash.asp Again, those are larger campaign mods organized by Mike T with help from a number of different modders. Some of my fieldgrey stuff is not there. I'm pretty sure the Stug (I think Mike T went with Tiger's grey version), the Truck (here, Mike used Mike Dorosh's), the Jagdpanzer, and JagdTiger are NOT available there. Anyway, you may find these fieldgrey may work for you. However, I too would like to see someone take all of the great khaki bases (predominately done by Fernando) and convert them into a fieldgrey. My stuff is passable but could certainly be improved upon. If you see anything you want to test out, drop me a line. Regards. bfamily33 [ February 03, 2002, 10:50 AM: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]
  3. Yup. Looks like they're gone. [ February 01, 2002, 05:52 AM: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]
  4. Bump. I feel like I'm watching golf Somebody wake me when it's over.
  5. Peiper: I like the various screenshots you've posted in the last month or so. It's nice to see how others CM world looks. Keep us updated. It would be nice if their werre other CM photo sites like yours.
  6. Herr Kruger: Go to Combat Mission HQ: http://www.combatmission.com/ then go to 3rd Party Mods and then Buildings / Terrain textures and check out Panzertruppen's Buildings. There is both a Winter and Non-Winter set. Tank's A Lot made some Winter Buildings too. I'm not sure where his builings can be downloaded. Perhaps someone else can let you know where to find those. It could be his are available at Combat Mission HQ too. [ January 30, 2002, 05:48 AM: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]
  7. Reminds me of that scene in Enemy at the Gates. Where the actual troop barges? I've been spending the last three weeks playing the Frontovik Russian threatre / mod. It's been a blast playing some real vicious urban battles. Now I'll need to track down that Stalingrad map and check it out. Flamethrowers and Engineers / Pioneers are worth their weight in gold in those scenarios. Mike T.: If you're reading this, I haven't dropped you a line lately because I'm too engrossed in Frontovik right now. Hats off to you. Great scenarios. I've been cursing you big time you twisted scenario maker you. I just got kicked by the AI, I was playing the Germans, in East of Kursk. Damn Russian 76mm AT guns.
  8. Herr Kruger: Not bad for a start. It appears your brother is trying to logically have snow buildup in the right places. It's a bit too blurry and needs to be sharpened up some. Could be he wanted it a bit blurry to get more of a wet/hazy look. Tell him to keep at it. I'm amazed you're using the stock building graphics. I don't think I've seen those in a preview pic in over a year.

  10. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by AndrewTF: ...please don't wait up. I won't be sending it anywhere until the morning (PST). I have to go help a 'friend' of mine move for a couple hours now ... <hr></blockquote> Andrew: Pal, buddy, amigo, friend, GET YOUR PRIORITIES IN ORDER. Send Manx the mod now! Pulling your back out can wait an hour.
  11. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Panzer Leader: position? <hr></blockquote> Good one! No. Someone, please give that man a cigar. [ 01-24-2002: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]</p>
  12. Mr. President: Will you be having a intern? And Mr. President, could you please tell us your definition of the word "IS" as used in the following sentence. CMBB "IS" going to be released soon.
  13. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Vader's Jester: Where can I get that subdued Jagdpanther in Tom's pics at M&M? Anyone?<hr></blockquote> Do you mean this one? It looks like Gordon's work.
  14. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Gordon: You mean like this? <hr></blockquote> Bingo - You win! <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Gordon: Actually, the SdKfz 250/8 is nearly finished, the others are still very preliminary. Gordon<hr></blockquote> START **** Coded Message for Gordon's Eyes Only **** Could you send me 250/8 now? I just can't wait. Trust me, no one else will know you sent it to me as you're the only one who can read this coded message. Only Enigma is safer. END **** Code Message for Gordon ****
  15. PawBroon: Nice site. A welcome surprise. Gordon: Looks like those HT 250's in the ambush scheme are just about done. When might we see those? Sure would love to have those, with the winter version, arrive at the same time as Tom's wnter Bulge mod.
  16. Actually, are we sure those are vegetables? Might they be grapevines? Where's our resident farming / wine expert - Winecape? I mean really, wouldn't a fine French Wine make fighting for control of those fields much more interesting?
  17. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Vader's Jester: Sweet. <hr></blockquote> Sweet corn, sweet pea, sweet pepper or sweet potato?
  18. Sure would be an interesting addition. I doubt it though. Remember the troop trains in Enemy at the Gate and Breakthough. At least in the movie, those things wouldn't hestitate to be very near the front lines.
  19. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Tom: In a few days you can have VEGETABLES on your map! <hr></blockquote> Oh man, sauerkraut. Opps, I mean VICTORY CABBAGE!
  20. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Michael Dorosh: Who still has a Hotchkiss?<hr></blockquote> Come on Mike, everyone knows "Appui-Feu de Combat Mission" has the Hotchkiss mod What? http://appui-feu.panzershark.com/ Seriouly, I'm with Rex, I'm 90% satisfied. However, I sure do wish someone would have done a really nice Chaffee and Pershing though. Yes Gyrene, perhaps the "Golden Age" is gone. Maybe not though. Fox is defining his own time. Gordon is still going all out like a young buck and has promised to "Hasty Camo" the world and hopefull will give us some more ambush camo HTs. Makjager still feeds us now and then. Clubfoot too, is still tinkering. And Tom, what can we say about Tom? Tom, IS IT DONE YET ? As for me, after my Tigers and King Tigers I've retired! I've found it much more fun to play CMBO.
  21. Ping! Wake up people! We let this slip much too far. Hey Tom: They're forecasting snow here on Saturday. What's your forecast for snow? [ 01-18-2002: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]</p>
  22. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Mad Mobeus: How do you take a screenshot in CMBO?<hr></blockquote> You guys have it all wrong. The key words are "screenshot in CMBO" you knuckleheads. Simple, hit "T" for "Target" and drag your targeting line to the center of your monitor right in front of your eyes. Click to register your field of fire. Now hit the "Go" button. You've just done it! You've taken a shot of the screen from in CMBO.
  23. LOS Check! I nearly fell off my chair laughing. I'm still worried about the floor loading in my upstair closet! Someday my SL/ASL stuff will fall through the ceiling. At that point, I figure it'll be time to teach my boys. However, BTS will have completed CMVW - "Virtual Warfare" by then and my boys will put me out to pasture with as an old grog geezer! You know, ASL still has CM beat in two respects - Goliaths and Anti-tank Dogs!
