  1. UPDATE on my first Tiger A guy by the name of Jorge MC added zimmerit to my khaki/olive Tiger. With Mike8g's rusty tracks, that Tiger looks real nice. I'll send this off to Pascal, Gustav 109 and Dorosh as an update. Fantasic improvement Jorge! Keep up the good work. Here's what it looks like now:
  2. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR> IMO it's better but I'd still prefer a more "blended" look. When compared to Master Fernando's mods , we observe that it doesn't fit too well. Going for a third try Bfamily ?<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> I do plan to do more on this Tiger. It is still in production. Per the CMMOS Tiger thread, I have to put in on hold for two weeks. Sorry. You'll have to live with the test version for now. Don't expect great things, I have no where near the talent Fernando has. I'll give you all a good solid mod to enjoy but I hope oone day Fernando will do a Tiger that makes mine obsolete.
  3. Hey guys, hold up. A new modder by the name of Jorge MC has added zimmerit to the khaki / olive GD Tiger. It looks fantastic. I'm going to send it to Pascal and Gustav 109 for posting. It should be part of any CMMOS ruleset. Additionally, the Normandy 102 Tiger I'm working on isn't done. I'm still trying to get the color right, add late road wheels, etc. Unfortunately, I have to put it on hold for two weeks! You will not likely see an update until then. You will have to live with the BETA / test version that Pascal made available. But again, when that Tiger's done I would think you'd want that in the ruleset. Hope this helps.
  4. Hey all. This Tiger is still in the test stage. Pascal is absolutely right about the color needing to be mutted. I'll be working on that. And seeing as you mentioned it Pascal, you've just volunteered to be my quality control until the color meets with your approval. You listening Pascal! For those who like the Tiger as it stands now, I suggest you get it before the next release. Stay tuned.
  5. Here's my latest. It's based on this camo scheme: And looks like this: The released version will have both zimmerit and plain options.
  6. Pascal: I just sent it off to you. MikeT: I figure Wargamer has quite a bit right now. I like to make sure the a few other sites get their's too. Besides, until Wargarmer makes their formal announcement, I'd hate to give them anything that would only delay them from that.
  7. Let see if my hosting service works ... Gustav: No problem. I sent you this mod if you want to host it.
  8. Ok guys. I have another one for you. If you liked the previous khaki / olive Tiger from last week, you'll probably like this one too. It looks like this: This camo scheme was inspired by this website on Tiger colors/markings: http://www.panzer-vi.fsnet.co.uk/markingswest.html I'll send it off to Mike D and see if he'll hoist it up for you. If anybody can post the preview pic, let me know. I'll send you the mod too.
  9. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by easy-v: Wow! That first site has some OUTSTANDING pics of the Finnish STuG's. And they are all immaculate.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> That camo scheme on that site served as the basis for this Finnish Stug:
  10. Appears they purchased a few Vickers and also procured, without the Russian's consent, quite a few T-26s . [ 10-13-2001: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]
  11. For those who haven't checked it out, here's a few preview pics of the Frontovik mod: Mr. Johnson: Glad you like it. You know, enduring Mike T's requests to create these mods was similiar to what the Germans went through with the Russian winters - They couldn't wait until it was over. 12. Warmaker: If you want the charging knight (in color) on the turret, I have one I did sometime ago. It is slightly oversized but it looks so sweet. It is matched to Tiger's gray Tiger so you must have his mod to use it. E-mail me if you want it. Charge! bfam [ 10-12-2001: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]
  13. Andrew: I e-mailed you my request with a reference. I kinda feel like a kid sending Santa my x-mas list.
  14. Quote: "Frontovik is here" It sounds like you have unauthorized inside information. What member of congress have you been talking to? Whose your source. Come on, give 'em up or we'll beat it out of you. [ 10-10-2001: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]
  15. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by lcm1947: May I ask what the above picture has to do with French uniforms? But my main question is where can I get that Stug? It is excellent!!!!!!!!!!!<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Nothing. It's a Finnish, as in Finland, Stug. There's more Finnish goodies too. Winter is coming, and so is the Winter War! Based on what Mike T. said: <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Major, there is a major announcement on this subject very soon. It is literally a matter of a day or two.<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> I would think you'll know where to get it today or tomorrow.
  16. Col. Klink: Check your in-box. I believe the flags were Angela Deth's. It think the German unit marker in the white circle was JuJu. If I recall, they were both at Combat Mission HQ.
  17. Mike8g: Your rusty look looks real nice. Please send them to Mike D., I'm sure he'll offer them up. Please e-mail them to me. I can't wait. bfamily33@hotmail.com Mike D: I tried to download the Tiger to check the version I sent you. It doesn't fully download. Anyone else having troubles?
  18. Mike / Major Kurz: If I recall, the tanker uniform is messed up. The version I received from David S. was ok. bfamily33
  19. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by highlife: Just a couple of notes. The GD option bmp has the 2nd SS PG Div. "Das Reich" doppelrune Kursk marking on it along with the GD "helmet". I also think that the Tigers of the GD never carried the familiar helmet unit symbol. The sPz 505 "cavalier" was only painted on the turret side. An earlier "snorting bull" looking thing was painted on the front." Thanks<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Highlife: 1) Dopplerune? - Damn, that was an earlier version. I wonder if I uploaded the wrong zip. 2)GD Helmet - Your probably right about them never carrying the helmet symbol. While it may be unhistorical, it is an option. 3)sPz 505 "cavalier - Again, I think your correct. Fyi, I have an oversized cavalier for Tiger's Gray Tiger - yes, it's on the turret. Glad you guys like it. Not perfect but a nice filler until Fernando or Marco get to the Tiger.
  20. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by MikeT: Major, there is a major announcement on this subject very soon. It is literally a matter of a day or two. MikeT<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> Anticipaaation, it's making 'em wait .. it's keeping 'em waiting. Quit RUS'N us. The French ain't the only uniforms either. These uniforms are way, way COOL! And they are finally FINNISHed! [ 10-08-2001: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]
  21. It looks like this: http://panzer.foru.de/ and this: http://www2.cc22.ne.jp/~harada/tiger.html Coming soon to a "Großdeutschland" site near you!
  22. Mike8g: IMO, so long as you in good faith credit the original modder and the spirit and intent of your mod is so others can get more enjoyment out of CM, then go for it. We all love this game and anything we can do to enhance that and keep it looking new, different and refreshing the longer we will continue to enjoy it. You appear to have made many interesting tweaks and edits, as evidenced by people's interest in getting your mods, and I suspect your hardrive (and others out there) are overflowing with great variants. Don't hold out folks, it's not like the community gets a mod a day anymore - you know. I suspect some of our addicted mod community are close to expiration if they don't get something soon.
  23. Damn Marco, that explains why your mods are so detailed. I'd bet you have a pair of calipers and sliderule and before you create one of your famous mods you actually create a full size working model.
  24. <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:</font><HR>Originally posted by Mr. Johnson-<THC>-: Well, I saw a preview and they looked tight. I thought they looked good to go. Why you guys torturing us?<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> It's not Finnished yet. As much as you'd like it to be Finnished, you're just going to have to wait awhile longer. We'll tell you when it's Finnished. 25. If any of you guys ever, I mean ever, receive an e-mail from MikeT asking for your help, DON'T open it. It's like a major virus!
