  2. Gordon: I think your two lunchtime disclaimers are reasonable. Note to all those great modders (Bergmann, Tiger, Fernando, Kwazydog, you Gordon, Maximus (ouch - it hurt to say that last one ), etc., etc.. I for one have probably pushed the limits of using others mods as the foundation for my stuff. Know that there was absolutely no malicious intent on my part, nor dor I think on any other modder who has done the same. The drive to mod is driven by the desire to expand the enjoyment of the larger community. For example, I would likely not have contributed to Frontovik were it not for the previous efforts of Marco's Shermans. Similiarly, my recent King Tiger would likely not have been produced were it not for Kwazydog's mod (I think it was KD's). My Tigers were built off Tiger's gray base. My Fallschirmjager mod used gear from Fox. If there's anything I've put out there that really burns someone, drop me a line and I'll go see if I can get it retracted. All that said, I hope I haven't ticked any of you masters off. I do respect your efforts and true artistic talents. With Gordon's disclaimers, can we all (to include you Scipio) get back to what we all enjoy? [ 11-19-2001: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]</p>
  3. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Gordon: I'll make another post later that proposes some standard disclaimers. Gordon<hr></blockquote> Gordon: Perhaps you could start a dedicated thread for this code of ethics / disclaimer issue. Likewise, a dedicated thread for your uniform issue. Allow this thread to cover your naming convention issue.
  4. Wow! Mike, you now have two top spots in my arsenal. Your German Hetzer and now this Brit Churchill. How about a U.S. Pershing or Chaffee? Thanks for hosting it Tom.
  5. Måkjager: Too good! If you're reading this, get back to work!
  6. The preview pics appear to work now. They load real slow though. Can anyone else see them?
  7. We'll, I can't see the preview pics so I assume none of you can either. Anyone care to host the preview pics? I'll attached the mod too. Let me know: bfamily33@hotmail.com [ 11-16-2001: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]</p>
  8. Hope these pics show as my photohosting service appears to be moving real slow today. Anyway, this mod was inspired by a model by Antonio Martin at: http://www.missing-lynx.com/gallery/german/amt2.htm I used the MDMP-2 JagdTiger (by Kwazydog - I think) as the base foundation. Plain version: Ambush version: I'm going to track down Jorge MC and see if he'll apply a zimmerit coat. Gustav109 and/or Pascal: Can you make post tis for d/l? [ 11-16-2001: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]</p>
  9. Huh? Gordon did a King Tiger? When? Where? The only King Tiger Mods I know of are by: Fernando - Winter Maximus - Winter Kitty Tiger Fox Wagner and the original CMBO If Gordon's done one, please let me know where so I can d/l it.
  10. Anyone: I need some help. Within the last 2-3 weeks someone posted a link to a really nice site with some color photos of the German campaign in the east. I went back through the posts but could not find the link. Can anyone direct me to it? It looked like a Russian site. Thanks.
  11. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by JPS: Oh, now I have to figure out something else for the Xmas wish list ... <hr></blockquote> JPS: You've got it all wrong. Just delay Christmas, CMBB will be worth the wait! Anyway, rumor has it Santa's one of the secret Beta testers for the Reds.
  12. Gordon: Any chance of you knocking out the Spw250 haltracks in the same ambush scheme you applied to the 251 series? bfam33
  13. Hey guys: I failed to tell Gyrene I tried many months ago to do the exact same thing (Lo-Res to Hi-Res tracks) and failed miserably! Hence I stayed with lo-res. I suspect Gyrene's has more patience and will get his mod done. However, his moaning will likely continue as this is a really tough mod. Having done that Tiger tank in camo, I can tell you it's easier to line up camo than those damn rails. I bet Gyrene goes cross eyed before this mod is done. Anyway, GREEN's probably got some Irish in his blood and they certainly knew how to drop steel in this country. Now don't tell Gyrene any of this. He's got to get pluggin on the chaingang. 14. Tom: You out there? Us Yankees need that Hetzer! Do we have to ask Schroeder to send it our way? [ 11-08-2001: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]</p>
  15. Have you tried it to use the endpoints of the rails from the CMBO originals, Tremblett's or Gunslinger's to position your rails? It might help to use those as a gauge [ 11-08-2001: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]</p>
  16. I was in Vienna last week and I actually saw a PC computer game review TV show and they were covering CMBO (German version obviously). Big time advertizing for Big Time Software
  17. <blockquote>quote:</font><hr>Originally posted by Måkjager: Winter production due to start next week <hr></blockquote> bump - This is front page stuff. How about an early edition?
  18. That Hetzer by Duplesis is the mod of all mods IMO! It's a mother beautiful tank - woof, woof!
  19. v1.1 is my 1st choice as well. However, v1.2 doesn't draw one's attention as much if fighting side-by-side with one of Fernando's Panther.
  20. You'll recall about two weeks ago I had to pause the work on my Tigers. I've finally finished it up. I've received alot of e-mail on these. The three versions are as follows: Version 1.0 Version 1.1 Version 1.2 Pascal is working hard to make them available real soon. All have a zimmerit option and versions 1.1 and 1.2 also have alternate wheels. Here's the options on versions 1.2: All versions are configured to work with CM Mod Manager. Clubfoot had indicated he might do a CMMOS ruleset. Anyway, hope you enjoy these. Consider this mod done! Thanks to Pascal for making these available for d/l. 21. Ok, this is the v1.2: Question is, which one's the keeper? v1.0, v1.1, v1.2? Fyi, when finally released it will have: 1)early wheels as an option (v1.1 and v1.2 only) 2)with and without dispensers on the turret 3)with and without zimmerit The one thing I have had no luck with is getting a "blended" or "airbrushed" look. That's going to have to be a job for someone other than me. [ 10-19-2001: Message edited by: bfamily33 ]
