Where are the salmon?

Everyone in my office is expected to answer, "Yavol, Herr Unterofficier" when I ask them to do something. (I didn't even try to spell that, it's just phonetic.)

CM Outpost - MAGUA TERRAIN PACK PREVIEW
Pvt. Ryan replied to DraGoon's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
"If Magua made it, it must be good."* *I would put a trade mark thingy there if I knew how. We can never have enough quality mods for CM. -

COMBAT MISSIONS: Something Special
Pvt. Ryan replied to Manx's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
That list looks like it took a lot of work. A big thanks goes out to Chris. My only suggestion is that you might want to indicate whether a mod is hi or lo res. -
download sites for Tigers Puma
Pvt. Ryan replied to crepitis's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I never have trouble accessing his site, but the downloads are slow, 2k - 10k. I guess he is serving the files off his computer and he has a slow internet connection. But the wait is worth it. [This message has been edited by Pvt. Ryan (edited 02-07-2001).] -

want to buy your Combat Mission
Pvt. Ryan replied to wrx's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I think BTS wanted to have the absolute last version (1.12) of CM done before they ordered a new supply of disks. I guess they ran out before the final patch was done, or maybe they thought 1.1 was the last version and then realized that another patch was necessary to squash the last remaining bugs. I think I will buy another copy when the final version is available and give my original copy to a cheap friend. -

Here's a site where you may find someone willing to sell his copy of CM: http://www.gicombat.com/cgi-bin/ubb/Ultimate.cgi?action=intro -
want to buy your Combat Mission
Pvt. Ryan replied to wrx's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
CM2 just requires a few new bitmap files and will be available as a download from the Battlefront site. If MadMatt would get off his lazy ass and put in 20 minutes of serious work we could have CM2 tomorrow. Just so no one gets the wrong idea, that was a joke!!! See the smilie? want to buy your Combat Mission
Pvt. Ryan replied to wrx's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
There has been only one copy of CM for sale on E-Bay that I am aware of, and it sold for $49. I think I read that CM plans to have the next batch ready to ship around 2/26. -
Guys do MODS make a big difference?
Pvt. Ryan replied to IDF's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
I was thinking of compiling a CD full of mods and sending them to whomever wanted them with a nominal fee to cover materials and postage. I think those with slower internet connections could use it. -
Jarmo, I was just guessing. If I had read Scott's post carefully enough I would have known that wasn't the problem anyway, even if it was possible. Dan, what exactly is the bug here? Is that the StuH won't fire because the friendly is close by, or is it something else?

My understanding is that CM doesn't model gun elevation and depression limits. I think maybe the Stug doesn't really have LOS to that particular spot and won't fire - like when you area target with a mortar to a spot that is not within LOS. I am sure Scott already thought of this. I have had not noticed any problems myself. [This message has been edited by Pvt. Ryan (edited 02-06-2001).]

It looks like there is a free 30 day trial. I guess I will try it when I get inspired. Actually the free trial is for Paint Shop Pro. I misread your post. Is Paint Shop Pro a good modding tool as well? [This message has been edited by Pvt. Ryan (edited 02-05-2001).]

Yes, it's TRULY a great day for Motor Car Racing!
Pvt. Ryan replied to deanco's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
deanco, this is the new Xnascar circuit set up by the WWF. The rules are different, but the overall sport is the same. I think this thing is screaming out for some mods. -
LGMB, I see you are a graphic artist. Have you thought about trying to do some mods? I would try if I had the tools. I understand you at least need Photo Shop, and I am not going to spend $600 to try my hand at modding. I already bought a new computer just to play this game.
